I don't really know how to describe Ridley's as it was a grocery store, a liquor store, and a sporting goods store all in one. As you check out, you can look to the east end of the store and see giant tents hanging from the ceiling, so if you are one of those people who are reminded of what you need as you see it checking out, then go here! Sadly, I didn't venture through that side of the store, so I am left to my mind's imagine of the treasures that lurk. Their meat selection was actually pretty decent - I was able to pick up some well marbled T-bones that I thought were really well priced. A friend and I went by van ride up to the launch in Wallowa and went forward into the wilderness of the Blue mountains. This is geologically beautiful country with magical rock formations thronged by big horn sheep - we saw a group of 20 that entertained us across the river at camp. The fishing was fantastic. Half of the fish were around 14 inches up to right around 20 inches. These are highly capable broad-shouldered fish. Captain Grant, Captain Bobby, and First Mate Callen capably led our expedition. The well-trained and yet affectionate dogs put a cherry on top. Highly recommended. I effing love Oregon. They have a rail ride too.
