I was glad to see a decent selection of shoes, it's always hard for me to find just the right pair of shoes - especially running shoes. Though I did not see Saucony (my current favorite), when I need a new pair, I'm sure I will find another here. My friend was very happy to see they carried shin splint supports and compression shorts. She also found a neat titanium necklace that is supposed to help with focus and fibro myalgia. If she wears it for a while and reports a noticeable difference, I will be impressed. I had never heard of this invention before asking what the purpose of a titanium necklace was. Fortunately, the owner was more than happy to explain what it is and what it does. Very glad to have a fitness store in Baker, it's good to know where to go to get a fashionable pair of mini shorts for running season.

I took the 4 day 3 night trip down from Wallowa (town) on the Wallowa river to the confluence where…read moreit becomes the Grande Ronde river (the rivers connect at the Minam store). A friend and I went by van ride up to the launch in Wallowa and went forward into the wilderness of the Blue mountains. This is geologically beautiful country with magical rock formations thronged by big horn sheep - we saw a group of 20 that entertained us across the river at camp. The fishing was fantastic. Half of the fish were around 14 inches up to right around 20 inches. These are highly capable broad-shouldered fish. Captain Grant, Captain Bobby, and First Mate Callen capably led our expedition. The well-trained and yet affectionate dogs put a cherry on top. Highly recommended. I effing love Oregon. They have a rail ride too.
