Little Short Stop is a local chain of convenience stores located (conveniently) all over the Region of Waterloo and Guelph. There are a number of stores that have 24-hour service, but most stores do not. This store at Westmount and Ottawa in Kitchener is only open until 11 pm on most nights, so a long walk to the nearest 24-hour store at Fischer-Hallman and Ottawa is required when the store is closed. Prices are high and selection is limited, but it is a convenience store, so that much is to be expected. Service is OK, but when it's busy there can be a long wait at the cash while the lone cashier checks you out. When it's cold out, or when you are tired, needing to go to the 24-hour store farther away keeps me from giving this location more stars. read more

The staff are consistently fast, friendly, and welcoming, making every visit smooth and enjoyable whether you are grabbing a quick drink or staying to relax. Parking out front is limited to 15 minutes, but the train station offers 30 minutes free or the option to pay for longer. While the parking is not perfect, the coffee, treats, and atmosphere more than make up for it. Definitely a must stop spot every time I am at the station.
