I wish i had the opportunity to have all my children go through there but timing didn't work out for my current pre-k child. I can't imagine running a preschool in this pandemic . I feel like with ever changing rules and the pressure to stay open an healthy Jakes place has taken all precaution to keep the children safe. My friends children currently enrolled have definitely have reiterated that they are doing everything to remain open . It's really sad to hear one person's need to bash a business because she thought this was " over the top" when the business is following the DESE regulations for preschool kids that are not protected by vaccine . My advice that if that is this is not a right for your family that's fine you can leave. There are ten + people on a waiting list that would be happy to be there. This is a small town please remember that being so callous and bashing someone's livelihood doesn't make you a hero.

The teachers are forthcoming when they notice signs the kids may be ready to take on something new, such as starting solid foods as an infant, to removing pacifier as a toddler, potty training, etc. At each stage, they discussed if we wanted their assistance with this transitional phase and supported our kids while providing feedback to us on progress or challenges. They provide breakfast, lunch and snacks; aside from being a huge benefit to us as parents, we've noticed it has increased the kids interest to try new foods as their friends are all eating the same thing. Their director is hands down the best! She has been incredibly communicative with us, works with each family's unique circumstances and children's needs. And this is where the story takes a positive turn. Signed up online and received a text with a link of who was coming and what day. Included information of what was going to be performed and how much. On the day of the appointment, my daughter let the technician in and I immediately found him to be polite, professional, and naturally friendly to my dog. I was instantly put at ease. Having never had to use a pest service, I was concerned about who would be going through my house and this poor soul had to crawl and climb all over a completely turned upside-down house, on a hot July day. Every step of the way he was a bevy of information and empathy. I was quite comfortable having him move about my house without me, he earned my complete trust. He set some bait and traps and had immediate results the evening after the first visit. He returned 2 weeks later to clear the traps (3 kills!) and seal up the outside. And since Mass Bay completed their work, no mice! In terms of value, the price was in the 3 figures. What would you pay for peace of mind? Mass Bay's options and pricing seemed fair and I will consider setting up a yearly contract with them, again for that peace of mind. I also learned quite a bit about mice in general, which was a nice add. I like when people geek out about their work, it's a good sign of happy employees. Happy employees do excellent work. MassBay was truly excellent.

I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

My now 5 year old son has been going to Little Sprout Academy (LSA) since he was 15 months. He loves LSA, his teachers and his friends. He calls the other children at daycare "his kids", which he picked up from his teachers and shows how the teachers care about their students. At LSA, my son has learned so much academically, socio-emotionally and just had a lot of fun. The first thing he does when he comes home is tell us how many times they went outside that day (there is a huge backyard covered in sand, play structures and other toys). My son is well prepared for kindergarten. He knows his letters, numbers, basic arithmetic and can sight read some words. He is also just really interested in learning because at LSA, it is very experiential and fun. It is amazing when your 4 year old comes home and tells you that the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, the cerebellum controls posture and balance, and the functions of different types of blood cells. LSA also provides a variety of healthy, freshly prepared meals that he actually enjoys! My son will eat vegetables at daycare that he won't eat for me at home. For example, he tells me that for lunch they start with soup or salad, followed by chicken and broccoli, then pasta. LSA provides a lot of fun, play and music oriented learning. Every year the kids perform in one or two plays that are really amazing, with beautiful costumes, music and dancing. LSA also celebrates diversity. It seems like there is a party every week between celebrations of each other (birthdays) and different cultures - Shabbat, Diwali, Chinese New Year, and the list goes on. And if that weren't enough, the hours are great for 2 working parents that both commute to Boston. read more

My youngest son has been at Little Sprout Academy for 3 years and will be leaving to go to kindergarten this year. Words can not describe the amazing care, love and support that he has received here. As a parent, I felt that I was leaving my child with family members and had no worries in the world when I left. On top of excellent educational experience, my child ate home made food and slept well (not on the floor but on a little cot). In addition, this was the first preschool that we encountered that put on musicals/children's performances that were so much fun to watch! Both of my children attended Little Sprout Academy. I cannot say enough good things about the incredible experience we have had as a family. The child care is top notch. The care providers treated my children as if they were part of their family and cared for them like they were their own, including feeding them delicious home made meals from largely organic produce. What that means is that for 6.5 of those 7 years, our kids went to the old facility at 1010 Mass Ave. If you're familiar with 1010 Mass Ave, you know that neither the physical building, nor the location scream "idyllic daycare center" ... and neither of those aspects of life at Tartt's was idyllic. What kept us fiercely loyal to Tartt's was the teachers and staff. Their dedication, their attention to the kids, and most importantly, *their* love for *our* children was what made the physical surroundings of the old location irrelevant. Now imagine that, but swap in a top notch physical facility and a quieter/cleaner streetscape! My only regret is that they didn't move into 56 Wareham years ago...

Food is included in the weekly cost, and I appreciate that he's trying new foods, and I am not having to pack food for 2 kids each morning. (He has a sister in first grade.) The app Kindercare uses is great! You get notifications of pretty much everything - what he eats, when he naps, and even when they change him and if it's wet - if it's pee or #2. We also get photos sent throughout the day and it makes me so happy to see him having fun. The long hours at Kindercare work for our family. We drop our son off before 8:15 am to get breakfast. We pick him up close to 5 pm. I would recommend Marshfield Kindercare to anyone with a little. The staff cares about all the kids, and it shows!

I followed the guidelines before and I will in this post. I just would like parents and future staff know that this preschool is under investigation with the EEC (I also know this because I was the one who called. I am a past employee). They do not follow protocol call when having teachers certified. Your child will be in a classroom with staff who are not CPR\first Aid trained or teacher certified. They had two covid cases when I was working there and did not tell the staff. Until the word was spreading to the staff. They did not inform all the parents, since some of the teachers floated around the building who were in contact with other kids. You think they shut down for a day or two to do a deep cleaning. But they did not. They started to tell parents a bug was going around, when kids were being sent home with high fevers. Which we don't know the truth since they had two covid cases that week. I just hope one day this preschool takes things more seriously. All they worry about is having enough staff to cover a classroom even if you will be out of ratio. On my last day I had 23 kids in one small classroom. All aging from toddlers, preschool and pre-K . Just think how crazy that was for me. Mind you the classroom was set up for preschoolers , so there was some toys in there that toddlers could of chocked on. I just want parents and staff to know the truth. I hope this one does not get taken down, because then I was told I had to call the headquarters for them to investigate why and why it keeps saying I did not follow the guidelines. When I did and I reread them before this post. I just hope for change because it definitely could be a nice place to work at. Just needs better owners, who care for the children and not the money.

KinderCare does not have the technology that most places have that show to-the-minute updates on when your kid eats, sleeps, etc. My personal opinion is that those features are really just a crutch for daycares that perhaps place more value on "checking in" on the app than connecting with my kids. At KinderCare, I know that my kids are *seen.* They're not boxes on an app that need to be checked. We call daily to see how our kids are doing, and always appreciate how patient and accommodating Sarah and the team are in sharing those updates. The wonderful teachers hug our children, they support them, help them through hard days, and celebrate their accomplishments. The biggest endorsement for this place came from my 4 y/o. Maybe week three of their being in daycare, I go to pick up the kids. Upon seeing me, my daughter says, "Mom, why are you here?!" I figured she may want to go home after nine hours, but not so when she's enjoying her friends and teachers. Such a good feeling! We couldn't be happier with our decision to become a KinderCare family at this really, really special facility!
