There were so many things I was afraid of when I started to look for a daycare, like cleanliness, my son not being taken care of well enough, daycare staff being over worked and overwhelmed. You hear a lot of horror stories that scare any parents but man does CJCC really exceed all my expectations. They send presious pictures and updates when asked and I truly appreciate the pics and updates . Ms. Pinar has been so amazing to my sweet boy! She truly loves and cares so much for him & works so well with trying to get him fed. (He was exclusively breastfed most his life) if you know, you know! She has been compassionate, kind, understanding and willing to assist to meet his preferences and needs. When I first toured I was SO impressed with their attention to cleanliness & infection control. From the moment I stepped in the door Ms. Pinar & Mr. Avni welcomed me with such warm energy, happy and inviting. They made me put on booties over my shoes and wash my hands. Which was a first! My son was 5 months when he started but I was so happy and impressed to see all the learning tools and hear about how they help the children with real life skills. I was so impressed I came back a second time with my son's father. We are so excited and happy to be apart of the cookie jar child care family!!

Pinar and Avni show such love and care for all their kids, and I can see that love reciprocated in my little one. She is always so excited to see them. I felt the motherly warmth from Pinar the day we met. She has made me feel safe (and less guilty) dropping off my child with her everyday. Pinar and Avni teach the preschool curriculum along with mannerism and social skills. Over the years I have noticed my daughter learn so much and I am very grateful. Their daycare has many play activities as well. A lot of which include Montessori type play. The kids get a lot of free playtime which my daughter loves. She loves to play with all the other kids there. The kids are also taught emotions and feelings, which I noticed in my daughter as well. She learned how to better express herself. They are also taught right from wrong and basic morals and values. The kids also learn yoga! Pinar and Avni have taken such amazing care of the most precious thing in the world to me. I will forever be grateful.

From the very beginning, we felt welcomed, supported, and confident that our son was in the right place. Ms. Amanda and Ms. Emma have created a nurturing, thoughtful, and engaging environment where each child is supported as an individual. Our son absolutely adores them and genuinely loves going to school every day. Ms. Amanda's depth of experience is truly remarkable--22 years in education, a BA in Child Development, an MA in Education, a Montessori credential for ages 3-6, and she's even a certified Positive Discipline coach. Her knowledge, paired with her warmth and intentionality, is reflected in everything she does. She meets each child where they are and helps them grow. We couldn't ask for a better start to our son's education. We only wish we could stay here forever! My husband and I highly recommend Turkey Creek Montessori.

The first was more of a daycare than anything else and the second one had questionable approaches to managing the behavior of little ones. The third time is a charm because we've loved our time at Turkey Creek Montessori! When our second son was ready for preschool, we went straight back to that teal door. Both boys grew so much academically and emotionally under Ms. Amanda's guidance. I love that she supported them in their interests and in the way they like to learn. There is so much research and thought that is put into everything the kids do. This isn't a daycare, it's a quality educational program. We're going to miss this wonderful school as our little guy moves on to the same "big kid school" his older brother attends.

The teachers care so much and go above and beyond, the owner Paulo is accessible and whenever I've had a concern or worry it's always been met with the upmost concern and I'm always listened to. There was an incident with a biter towards my son and they immediately handled it and jumped on top and it was taken care of. Their pricing is reasonable and the teachers help with difficult things like reducing naps, walking, starting solids. They go outside every day weather permits and have structured educational Montessori curriculum including field trips, arts and crafts, and educational reading. As a first time mom there's so much idk that the teachers have helped me with (shout out to Ms Sophia & Ms Shay! They're amazing!!). I honestly can't imagine a world where I don't have and rely on them as a resource. They have an app that tells you everything and shows pics/videos every day which eases my natural first time mom anxiety. I cannot say better things about Bambimi. HIGHLY recommended!!!

My daughter couldn't speak but knew this place was not what we wanted after a few months. The things I heard from other parents I pulled her out that day. I was lied to by the owner about teachers being on leave when they actually left. The owner will try to distract you as you walk in everyday and talk to you to give the teachers time to know your there. It's very unnerving reading the reports of no one being cpr trained or even being mandated reporters. They aren't even qualified teachers working there. The Christmas card says it all!

I loved the culture of the…read moreschool the former teachers built, before summer 2024, and I love the progression into the school Morningstar has become under Ms. Gigi's ownership as well. The teachers bring their substantial training, experience, and unique gifts to a beautiful environment. Montessori builds independence, autonomy, and initiative as it guides children into becoming passionate, lifelong learners. I am so grateful I found Morningstar in 2022 and can't recommend it highly enough to parents who have high hopes for their child's early education. One benefit I particularly treasure is the opportunity for leadership my son is experiencing as a Montessori mentor. As the caboose to our family, it struck me that this is his big opportunity to be the oldest among his peers. As I see the pictures and videos the school provides daily, chat casually with the teachers at pickup, and observe in our home life, I am seeing my "baby" grow into a confident, thoughtful boy who can apply reason and empathy, modulate his responses, and make good choices in his daily life. Even though he's eligible for Kindergarten (and I am a big supporter of the WPUSD elementary he will attend next year), I keep him here for the low teacher/student ratio, the peacefulness and productivity of his work day, the laughter, fun, and joy that is so clearly enjoyed by the children and the teachers, and the warmth, love, and kindness that welcomes in the families in the mornings and tells them goodnight at the close of day. As Morningstar matures under Ms. Gigi's leadership, I highly recommend it to all families looking for childcare / school in Lincoln.

I attended their open house to see if the school would be a good fit for my son. We entered through the back gate and from the start I noticed I was being looked over. I figured it was because I looked somewhat sloppy carrying my infant in the carrier and haven't had the chance to change in order to make it on time. I was wrong. This was during the pandemic when masks were required indoors. All parents arrived with masks, but upon seeing the staff not wearing them, they also removed them. I attended with my toddler and infant who cannot be vaccinated, so we were also wearing masks and we did not remove them. Quickly, we became the only people wearing masks. When I asked if masks would be worn indoors, I was told no. Again, this was during a time when wearing masks was the safety guidance. I told the staff that I wasn't sure this would be the best fit, and she told me there were plenty of other preschools for my child. That's it. In no more than five minutes, I was bullied, made to feel uncomfortable, and told to leave. I left fuming. I could not believe she would 1. violate safety guidelines. 2. jeopardize the safety of my children. 3. tell me to go somewhere else rather than explain her reasoning. Also, this was done in plain view of other parents quickly setting the tone for the rest of the tour and establishing the type of treatment that is acceptable at this school. Obviously, I left. Looking back, she did me a favor as this is not the kind of environment I would want for my child. I have no doubt that what other parents have said in their posts is honest as the bullying behavior by the staff was in plain view with me. I am left feeling sad about what children are learning at this school about the treatment of others, and about their role in a community. This school is a detriment to all of Lincoln.

Overall, we are very thankful to…read moremany of the teachers and staff who cared for our children and genuinely tried their best. Unfortunately, the reason we ultimately decided to leave was because we no longer felt our children were safe. We had ongoing concerns regarding repeated aggressive behavior involving the same student. From our perspective, the school's ownership and management did not adequately address the situation despite multiple incidents and conversations. We tried to be part of the solution. We met with the owner, Dee, and even offered to personally pay for a behaviorist to come to the school and provide professional support. We also suggested creating a resource board to help connect families with behavioral specialists and other services. Instead, we learned that the student was being moved between classrooms rather than the situation being effectively resolved. On one particularly upsetting day, our son was physically hurt four separate times. To our knowledge, no child was sent home as a result. Initially, Lisa led us to believe that the problem might have been specific to the relationship between this child and our son. However, after speaking with other parents, we learned that other families had experienced similar concerns. I was also personally told by a teacher about a serious incident involving that student and a staff member. After these experiences, we began visiting the school more frequently and reducing the amount of time our children spent there whenever possible. Once our new school opened, we were finally able to move them. The reason I am still giving this school 4 stars is because of the TEACHERS. There are some truly wonderful people working there, and they deserve recognition. Ms. Corina -- what an amazing human being. Thank you for everything you did for our family. Ms. Monique -- our baby girl received so much love from you, and we will always appreciate it. Ms. Morgan -- thank you for all the love you gave our children. Ms. Vanessa -- thank you for teaching our kids so much and caring for them with so much love. Ms. Michelle and Ms. Mai -- thank you for all your efforts and everything you did for our children. And to Kim and Sam at the front desk -- thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and for greeting us with a smile every day. Our criticism is directed toward the way management handled our safety concerns, not toward the wonderful teachers who cared for our children. Lastly, in our experience, the school is significantly overpriced considering the student-to-teacher ratios and the level of services provided. We are grateful for the teachers who loved and cared for our children, but as parents, safety has to come first.
