I hired "Little Stevie 2 years ago" He did GREAT WORK, and we even brought him to my mother-in-law's, and a neighbor. I saw some workers in a store two days ago wearing his shirts, and with more work needed, did not hesitate to have them come over. I gave them phone numbers, etc. Well, "Little Stevie" was just out of hospital, having been injured on a job. His father called in his stead. He came over, walked my property, gave an estimate, and I agreed to let him work. He vowed he was representing his son, and we would be happy. I had to work on Saturday 09/16/17 My wife was to be home. Steve SR showed up with four guys, worked less than half the day, and departed with full payment from my wife without taking down three tree's he vowed to take down, and left three stumps we agree'd he would take down. Obviously, he took advantage of my absence, and my wife's naivete (foolish and ignorant of her not to call me, I know this) but Steve Sr. lied right to my face, violated our agreement, did not do even one half of what we agree'd to, and left for another job after less than three hours on y property. Now...this aggressive quote I received, and the promises that he would carry on his son's fine name have all turned out to be typical contractor BS Stay away from this father/son combo. Why would his son. who we liked, and have recommended in the past do this to us? Do NOT let this travelling road show anywhere near your home or property. Do not become their next victim. I am ashamed that my wife was taken advantage of (I am so damned angry at/with her too by the way) and that these clowns took advantage of my absence (I agree'd to let them work here on a Saturday when I knew I would be working myself because, and only because of the fine work that "Little Stevie" did for us in the past, and they rolled right over my unsuspecting wife, did LESS tha half what they promised, and now....to my great surprise, they have not called back at all, despite my repeated calls. OH....when I ran into his "workers" on Thursday 09/14, Steve SR. called me no less than six times in the first hour, and literally drove to my property, called me from my driveway, and waited for me to come to meet him, even though I stated I would not be there. HE was THAT AGGRESSIVE!!! And today, after he literally "stole" our money???? He hasn't returned a single call. Why am I not surprised?? STAY AWAY....call someone else. Little Stevie's Tree Work was recommended to me by my neighbor this morning at 8:00am as we had a large tree that was cracking and breaking in our back yard. I called and spoke with Steve who came right over to our place within a half hour from my phone call at about 2:00pm. It was an emergency as the tree was breaking as we spoke about it and were looking at its precarious position propped up by other smaller trees straining to hold it up. Steve and his crew got right to work bringing an excavator up into the woods to tie off the tree and secure it so it would not hit the house! They expertly cut the tree and held it back with chains and when the tree finally gave way they brought it straight down right in the woods and far away from the house. They were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. We were so pleased we have asked them back for more tree work to remove trees leaning toward the house. Stevie and his crew came as promised just as the electrical and cable wires were being removed. They went to work quickly taking down a number of trees that were close to the house and starting to hang over dangerously. I was amazed how precisely they took the trees down so close to the house - they dropped them exactly where they planned. They quickly chipped and removed all the trees. Next was a large oak that was leaning dangerously, again dropped with precision and efficiency. Next they dropped a bunch of trees that were starting to encroach on the driveway, quick work. 2 dead trees with multiple trunks needed to go and Stevie climbed into a tight spot, dropping them efficiently, knowing exactly when to get out of the way each time - I was amazed and impressed at his skill. Finally the guys used blowers and rakes to put the yard back in good shape - some tearing up of yard is to be expected with heavy machinery but they did a nice job. There were probably close to 20 trees taken down almost half chipped and they were done in less then 4 hours and the price was great. I would and am recommending him highly. read more

I am posting this review pursuant to my position as President of the Board of Directors of a Brookfield condo complex. During the March 11th windstorm, a large tree was knocked down, causing multiple hazards to persons, buildings, a main roadway, and an adjacent tree line. We contacted Little Stevie's for assistance. Remarkably, WITHIN ONE-HOUR OF OUR REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE Little Stevie's was on our premises with a full crew and all necessary tree removal equipment. During the ongoing wind storm, Little Stevie's crew removed several hazardous trees. The crew returned the next day to remove additional trees that had also been damaged. They were a hard working crew that knew what they were doing. When they were finished the premises was cleaner and better looking than it was prior to the storm. Also REMARKABLE was the fee for the service. Not only did Little Stevie's not impose any "nighttime or emergency response fees", the final invoice was less than one-half (1/2) of what we anticipated. I had an amazing experience with Stevie and his team, I'm SOOOO happy that they took on such a big and potentially dangerous job and finished it so safely and efficiently in JUST ONE DAY, that speaks about their expertise and professionalism. They took down about 19 or so trees that are tall and big, also leaning towards the house. Stevie was on-site throughout the day, he operated the machine while his buddy took care of notching the tree, that shows real collaboration and expertise, Stevie also is superior looking at project as a whole, not piece by piece. Little Stevie's is family-owned business, which definitely adds that personal touch and reassurance. Team also worked on removing number of huge dead trees and stumps from 2018 storm. Little Stevie was working at my neighbor's property. I needed some tree work done so I asked him to give me a price to take down a couple of big trees on my property. The price was good so I had him do the work. He and his workers did a great job. In order to finish the job they needed to come back 4 days later. They arrived promptly that morning and finished the job. They arrived on time both times, were courteous, and cleaned up. They had me come out and check to make sure that things were done the way I wanted them done. I would recommend Little Stevie's to anyone. They give you a good price and do good work. I had contacted Little Stevie regarding a dead tree in front of my house. Steve was prompt and a pleasure to deal with. He was the best price quoted and was ready to immediately remove my tree. During our converstaion, he pointed out core rot on another tree, so both trees were struck. I was impressed with his equipment and method of work. He used a bucket truck to trim high branches and an excavator to feed the wood chipper. All equipment was new or almost new, well maintained and was fit for purpose. I am recovering from open heart surgery, on Saturday as I was sitting in my living room, a large beech tree fell within 10 feet of where I was sitting. I was unable to move and watched the event in fear and horror. Fortunately, that tree missed both me and my house. I called Stevie, I had used him earlier and was happy with his work. Very professional, efficient and hard working. Skilled at removing and trimming the very tall trees (over 80 feet) very close to my house without any damage to property. Their equipment was able to remove and chip large diameter trees leaving no waste or debris on my property. Little Stevie's did a 2 day project around our home involving logging equipment, cranes, chippers, and about 10 guys. The weather only allowed for a tiny window to work in and Steve brought everyone to get it accomplished. I have to say Little Stevie whom incidentally is not little did quick work of some dead trees on my property line. I was expecting just an estimate but He (Steve) went all Texas Chainsaw Massacre on those trees in less than 15 minutes he took down about 5 trees and 3 of which were fairly large and in the rain to boot, It was fast, it was cheap and it's all good. Steve and his three men have worked continuously to take down two oak trees today. Expertly he "cherry-picked" the highest limbs - while maneuvering around our electric wires and the garage.
