***Shirley Tao, who is a Healthcare Recruiter for Apex, exhibited disrespectful, inconsiderate,…read moredeflective, and other unprofessional conduct and behavior, and a lack of transparency regarding pertinent information related to an application I had submitted, for which I have now withdrawn my interest and application for the position previously applied for. *** I applied for an HHA position I found on Indeed that APEX had posted. Not long after I submitted, I received communication from Shirley and spent the end of last week running around to get diagnostic testing redone, etc. At no point did Shirley or the Indeed posting indicate "the facility has been known to be slow on interviews it does take them a few days to review" it wasn't until I withdrew my application via email that this information came to light if this was not bad enough, she had the audacity to tell me in the same email response she states " I did not hear from them an interview confirmation so I did not say anything" makes the entire interaction even worse and reinforces my point about a lack of transparency, consideration, and respect, which reflects very badly on her character and, subsequently, Apex. Sending a quick update, such as "Hey so-and-so" or whatever greeting you choose, followed by "I've submitted all your information to the facility. Once I receive an update regarding an interview date, I will let you know," or something along those lines, shows you respect the applicant and their time. Choosing not to say anything, as she did, and making that admission (which I would have kept to myself) indicates a basic lack of respect for the prospective applicant. There is a stark difference between miscommunication and non-communication, and it is apparent that she does not know the difference. In this case, this was non-communication on her part, but she says, "it was miscommunication," and, more importantly, there was a lack of transparency from the very beginning. She deflected, blaming the facility and/or me for her lack of candor/professionalism, when it was her/Apex responsibility to be transparent, which would have allowed me and other applicants who value their time to make an informed decision, but Shirley prevented that. When a person hides important facts and prevents you from making a smart choice about a job, it is called job scamming, fraud by omission, or deceptive recruitment. That is what Shirley did by preventing me, and potentially other prospective applicants, from making an informed decision. I have chosen to post these interactions as a matter of public interest and to warn others about potential interactions they may have when dealing with Shirley Tao. Some may ask why I gave it 2 stars if the interaction was this bad. The reason for the 2 stars is that A. Mahamed from H.R., whom I spoke to on the phone about this matter, was very pleasant to deal with and showed compassion, understanding, and a legitimate desire to resolve this matter. But I can't stay silent and not make others aware of these interactions with Shirley, because then I am complicit and a hypocrite for discussing issues of transparency and then not being transparent myself.

Our daughter absolutely adored her. Lisa was always available whenever I had questions, responded quickly, and collaborated closely with our daughter's other therapists to ensure she received the best possible support. From the very beginning, they formed a wonderful connection, and over time, Lisa became much more than a therapist--she became a true friend to our daughter. Even now that we've moved away, Lisa still takes the time to chat with her from time to time, which means so much to all of us. We truly cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for our family, and we are all very sad not to have her by our side anymore. Thank you as well for always checking in and making sure everything was going well. We really appreciated your support throughout the process. - Peggy, mom of Upper West Side 4th grader

She was told to repeatedly come back for "fixes" but none of the "fixes" ever worked. At one point a piece of the hearing aid got stuck in her ear. Another time the hearing aid fell out. This should have been enough for Harmony Hearing to accept the fact that this particular model was not right for my grandmother, but that's a hard fact for them to accept since they only sell ONE model of hearing aids. Furthermore, their Levittown location is only open one day per week, so it made going back for the "fixes" very challenging. Since they are only open one day per week if you miss a week, then you have to wait until the next week and that means 14 days have passed since you were last seen. Instead of letting my grandma return the hearing aids, they kept telling her to come back to get them "fixed." Since they kept telling her to come back to have them "fixed," the 45-day return period expired. The 45 days also passed because they are only open one day per week so in reality, my grandma only had 6 business days to get them "fixed." Since the hearing aids from Harmony did not help my grandma, she found another hearing center which told her, upon examination, that the hearing aids from Harmony hearing did not fit her properly, nor did they actually help her hearing. Harmony hearing now refuses to refund her the almost $1,700 that she has already paid because the 45-day return period expired. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES GO TO HARMONY HEARING! There are many other hearing centers that have more hours and multiple hearing aid selections.

ZERO STARS for Ana Armas aka Ana Giovanna Armas Durand!!!…read more https://www.speechbuddy.com/speech-therapy/profile/a107c1ac646627f7/ana-giovanna-armas-durand https://www.linkedin.com/in/ana-giovanna-armas-durand-83692430/ Speech Pathologists are con artists! Because of the fact they know they have the upper hand because there are not enough people in their field, they feel like they can do whatever. It is extremely hard to find a pathologists that will travel to your place. Got Ana by the state and I wish I read these two reviews before, but you really have no choice, because like I said, it is so hard to get someone to take your case. Previously had one that was more seasoned, so you can tell she was over it. I ended up getting someone that would come in person, so did that for a hot minute, but that person didn't bother at all, instead would just come to narrate. Ana was my fourth speech pathologists that I experienced through the state. OMG, the other two reviews are so spot on regarding her. Please note Ana was strictly zoom and never in person. When I first experienced Ana, she wanted to do a meet & greet first, but I forgot she asked some odd questions and had odd responses to my questions. I shrugged it off, but the first real session, I noticed she was inpatient, rude, and unprofessional to everyone. She never sent me progress reports or have any follow ups with me. I started to notice she was late to every session, but would leave on time, which meant I wasn't getting the full session. I was blindly signing off her time sheets without any issues. She never communicated at all to me about any holidays or anything that would affect me. We had a session on July 5 and I waited and waited and waited and nothing. I texted her and kept texting her. I didn't hear anything back until 3 hours later saying she's off. Okay, that would have been nice if Ana shared this with me ahead of time, rather not even bother telling me. She never even apologize for the inconveniences. Because I didn't make any plans, since I knew I had to see her at noon on 7/5. I kept noticing her frustration and attitude and her sessions had no progression. It was the same thing every single session. Same style, same tools, and just same lessons. I asked her if she could incorporate boom cards and she asked me what is that. I said it is a learning tool and she said, she'll look into it. I followed up with her regarding the boom cards, because again, she uses the same stupid pop up toy over and over again with the same blocks. It is like she only owns these two toys. When I brought up boom cards, she said she didn't get the chance to look into it. The fourth time I brought it up, she said, boom cards for younger people. It's like okay, you're using books that are targeting 0-2 years old and you're now saying boom cards not suitable? Meanwhile if you look up boom cards, it says it is for ages 3-18 years old. Like she's such a liar. I got so tired of her sessions, that I provided feedback and said I really wish she incorporates boom cards or something else, because the lessons are stagnant. She said well you can find someone else and this will be your last session, since I am going on holiday next week anyways. Like okay, she again didn't share she was leaving on holiday, so if she didn't discontinue the service, I, again wouldn't have known this at all. I would have waited for her again and wasted my time and not made any plans due to her not communicating her holidays. She advised she'll send me her time sheets. She usually sends the time sheets via text and I never really looked at it. When I was signing off on it, I noticed there was something written in small font. It says all sessions are 30 minutes and this is the first time I noticed her time that she was putting in was for a full 30 minutes. She would put in she came 6 minutes or 15 minutes late to our agreed time, but lie and put down she stayed over the actual end time to make the full 30 minutes. She never once made up for not even a SECOND of her lateness. This is ridiculous. Not only did she sucks as a speech pathologist, she lies and cheats people of their time. She should not be working in this field at all. I never noticed she was entering her time sheets incorrectly. I have so many texts where I am texting her and asking her where is she and she wouldn't respond at all. She'll then blame C for not answering the zoom because she doesn't realize I am actually there with C and L. It's like you're not picking up, because again, you're not honouring the agreed time. If you get Ana, everything revolves around her!
