All that and my strange little dog likes her, too. Dana had my dog for a two week board and train while I went out of the country. She gave us "homework"and a variety of digital articles to study, to prepare in advance. I was nervous at the thought of leaving my dog with someone I didn't know well, but Dana greeted my dog as a member of her own household, took her along on client calls, and kept a really close eye on her. While I was out of town I saw photos and videos online of my dog's progress. It gave me piece of mind. And I was amazed to see the huge progress each day. Dana brought my dog home at the end of the two weeks, and we immediately put the leash in my hand and started working. She has called and emailed, and met me in various outdoor venues as a followup. Dana is very good at following up on phone calls and emails. She is very gentle while correcting my behavior and training skills, and if I want the full explanation on why certain techniques are being used, she is happy to discuss it with me. Another thing is plain to see: Dana loves dogs. She wants the best for my dog. She is dedicated to making sure that I get all the help I need to keep up on my dog's excellent progress for her behavioral issues. I find a lot of inspiration in her frequent posts on her Facebook page, and the articles on her website. She is offering a free seminar in a few weeks, and I can't wait. So, I decided to take him to Happy K9 Academy. I really respect how this business operates, first they asked if I could bring him in for a few hours to see how he would make out, no other boarding facility has ever done that for my dog! I also like that this facility has 24-hour staffing and a security system. The doors remain locked until you call or text them and then a staff member will greet you at the front door to take in or bring out your dog. When I dropped off my dog, I stepped inside to take a quick look and I was impressed. It did not smell and was clean and well maintained. During the time my dog stayed at the facility they texted and called me with concerns about how much food he eats daily and about how often he goes to the bathroom. Other places I had boarded him in the past would never reach out if they had a concern! I dropped off my dog with Andrew and he has a great disposition in handling dogs, he was sincere to our needs and caring about my dog like it was his own! Ashlyn & Brook are also excellent to work with, both very sincere and professional! I will definitely take my dog back to Happy K9 Academy in the future when I plan my next trip.
