We love Tim! My husband loves the hot towel shave and haircut. He is now treating himself once a month!

The barber I have gone to in the past relocated, so, I searched for a new barber on the square in Georgetown. Little Tim's came up with excellent reviews. Their page said to book through Facebook. When I pulled up the reservation system through their Facebook page, Tim (presumably the owner) was booked out for the next few weeks. So, I selected an appointment on a Friday at 11:20 am with the other barber, Aaron Diaz. Received an email confirmation via email shortly after booking online. Great! Within 30 minutes, the barber texted me saying that he was unavailable Friday, March 16th because he would not be in that day (despite it clearly being available for booking on their system). He told me to book for another day that week or the Monday of the next week. While not entirely considerate as I have worked and booked the time I'm available, whatever, I'll figure out another time later. Before I was able to re-book, the next morning, I received another text saying, "Nvm Justin. I'll be available Friday morning. Sorry for the confusion." Great! I think, that's the time that works best for me since its lunchtime on Friday and easy for me to get off for work. Flash forward to Friday, I drove 20 min. into the square and walk into the barber shop, only to find one chair occupied. I told the barber (presumably Tim), that I was there for a 11:20 appointment. I got a dumbstruck look, and a confused "huh?" The barber then asked if my appointment was with Aaron, I confirmed, yes, he told me he would be here. All I get back from the owner was a no, he's not here today, he's out of town - you should text him. I did indeed text him, saying that I had arrived, he wasn't there, and before i drove back, would check to make sure he was in fact not there. The response I got back was simply that he "try to make it work for Friday but it was really hard." Awesome, I'm glad it was "hard," but maybe let the guy you told to come know before he shows up? Or maybe the business just doesn't believe in common curtsey. Cool! So now I've wasted about an hour of time coming to your shop, when your employee told me to be here for a haircut and all you have to say is - go away, he's not here. Great business practice! Maybe if you're booking directly with Tim come here, he seems to have great service for those he is serving. However, if you're booking for anyone else at his barber shop, steer clear. He doesn't seem to care about the service they provide even if they are booked under his business' name. read more

We have been to Little Tim's 3x's now. I bring my 5 year old son. This is definitely a "man's barbershop". It's quite handsomely designed & accented. Smells good too. It's also like a little step back into time. To a more simple time. ;-) Barber Tim is kind & patient with my son. My son is active, but does enjoy the experience & want a cool new haircut. The electric razor's tickle his neck. Tim seems to take his time with each client. Today, the guy ahead of us raved about him as he left. He didn't knew we weren't "first timers" and wanted to make sure we knew what a treat we were in for. My son leaves looking amazing. This barber is fantastic! And a great price!! Always a pleasant experience. Love the decor - vintage rockabilly style. All sorts of men's grooming accessories available to purchase. Tim is a skilled and dedicated barber. He takes his time and makes sure every piece of hair is the way you like it. Even if there are people waiting, he doesn't rush. I was asking him about different pomades and safety/straight razors and he explained to me all the little ins and outs of em. The best part is, when there is a wait, you can pass the time more quickly by taking part in the free beer and whiskey he offers. By far the best barber shop I've been to around here !!! read more

What can I say? I've been going to Tim's for about six months now, and I'm stuck with him. My girlfriend loves how he cuts my hair, and the price is too good. Plus, whiskey?!? Tim does a great job. New to the area, and like most discerning gentleman, I enjoy getting my hair cut in a classic style by a proper craftsman. Since I'm well North of Austin, the other highly rated "classic barbers" downtown aren't an option. I was lucky to stumble on to this gem, nestled away in Georgetown, which I realized is, like Supertown USA. Anyway, here's the TL;DR the cut: 10/10 (men's "classic" and a beard trim) wait: 8/10 (a bit long-ish, but this is what happens at good barber shops, you get a chance to have some dude time [and a beer!]) price: 10/10 ( $20 i would gladly pay more for the quality cut I received) I can honestly say that I have found a barber in a new area that I completely trust to give me that dapper look, after looking shaggy for a couple months! Next time I'm there (and I'll be there at regular intervals), I'll spend more time in Georgetown... there's a nice little bar, just a block east, just past S Austin Ave (on the right). read more

I had a great experience at Little Tim's! Recently, the atmosphere and overall wholesome appeal of my former barbershop have gone downhill. I no longer feel comfortable going there and I definitely don't want my son to go there for his first haircut! I work in Georgetown, so I started looking for a barber to visit in Georgetown and decided to try Little Tim's Classic Barber Shop. I'm so glad that I did! Tim was working with another client so I booked an appointment with his associate Jacob Parks. Jacob did a great job! He was personable, friendly and very good at his job. Usually I hate barber chair small talk but this felt more like an actual conversation. The interior of the shop is panelled in beautiful dark wood and there are long benches when you come in the door where customers can wait. They look just like the benches I've seen in classic depictions of barber shops. Bottom line: I got a great cut (inexpensive, too!) at Little Tim's, I had an excellent experience as a customer, and I will definitely go there again for all my future haircuts. If you're in the Georgetown or Round Rock era and you need a great haircut, you should go to Little Tim's Classic Barber Shop. You won't regreat it! read more

My wife and son went there yesterday. No one was waiting, he made them wait 10 minutes so he could finish his customer, but then said he couldn't help them because he had an incoming appointment. He told them to come back today at 2:30 for an appointment. We arrived at 2:15, he had a customer in the chair and 2 waiting. At 310 PM he still wasn't ready for my son. Why make appointments if you can't keep them? And why did he make my son leave yesterday when no one was there, if he had people waiting for appointments today? We left! There are plenty of great barbers in the Georgetown/ Austin area that can give a good cut, and provide excellent customer service. I'd rather give them my money. As a side note: The shelves were covered in thick dust! And the decorations were basically empty alcohol bottles....I'm guessing that being a drunkard is what makes a place manly. Got haircut and shave! Both excellent... Best/closest/most skillfully performed shave I've ever had (compared to MANY barbers in the past). Highly recommend the hot towel shave!
