I booked an appointment at Gambuzza's of Cedar Park, Texas for 2 pm on 4/25/2026. My drive is 35 miles to the appointment. On my way a car accident happened right in front of me. I stopped and when I was sure everyone was ok I jumped back in my truck on my way to my appointment. My GPS said I was running 12 minutes past my appointment time so I decided to call Gambuzza's to let them know of my delay. I was greeted on the phone by Haily who quickly informed me that if it's over 10 minutes, my appointment would be cancelled. Being 25 miles into the drive, I told her that I would do my best to be there by 2:10pm. This upset me as I just drove 25 miles and called to notify of the delay. I wanted to cancel right then but really needed my haircut. I did my best and arrived in the parking lot at 2:12pm and immediately got a call from Hailey that my appointment was cancelled. This upset me as I told her I was in the parking lot. She couldn't care less. For me, being a returning customer who has waited long after my appointment time, on the barbers to be available, this was very disappointing. Hailey lacked courtesy and proper customer service. Was there no way to accommodate me? So I got to drive another 35 miles home. I drove 70 miles and didn't get a haircut and was shown no grace. I let Haily know that I wouldn't be back to visit her location. So I am writing you to let you know that I will never visit any Gambuzza's locations ever again. That she caused you to lose a returning customer. And that your policy should have some sort of grace period. There are a plethora of Barbers in the Austin area and now someone else will get my business. read more

I've been taking my son here since the beginning of the year and I'm. Rry pleased with the way they handle their appointments as well as their service. It's super convenient to male an appointment or change it. Card is on file so it's easy to pay as well. My son likes his haircuts and he gets to have a root beer if he wants. After sitting on our experience today I think it's important to share in every way I can what happened because what did was absolutely not okay. I have 3 boys and took them all in for a hair cut. Somewhere that offers children's hair cuts and says in their about us " For our young customers under the age of 12, we offer junior haircuts and will make sure they enjoy their experience and love their cool new look". My youngest is 3.5 and autistic. I have always cut his hair because that's where he was most comfortable but I wanted him to get a better hair cut than what I could give him with his brothers. When we arrived we were greeted by the loveliest hair dresser who was so kind. I told her about him being autistic and a little nervous and she quickly did what she could to make him comfortable and not rushed. He was crying but wasn't uncontrollable, wasn't hurting anyone, wasn't throwing things or being disrespectful. He is limited verbal so that's his way of expressing himself and communicating. He was sitting on my lap crying while she showed him the comb she was going to use. Right when we got him comfortable and she was about to start, another barber came up, handed me a card and said I needed to leave. Told me that his behavior was not okay and that people are getting shaves and there can be no noise. I was completely caught off guard and so was the girl going to cut his hair. I took him in the waiting area where he still cried. In fact cried harder since I had to put him down to move. His big brothers were getting a hair cut so we had to sit there waiting for them while my 3.5 year old continued to cry and I wanted to myself out of embarrassment and anger. After my other sons were done the other wonderful woman who cut my oldest son's hair apologized. I started to cry. She gave me the sweetest hug and stood there with me crying. When you're a mother of a child with a disability you do everything to let them live a "normal" life. Get his hair cut like his brothers even though it may look a little different and may be harder he still deserves that same chance. My child was discriminated based on his disability and refused service by a different barber who wasn't even doing the hard work on him because she didn't want to hear him. She could have handled that situation so differently and kinder but instead was out of line. She should be ashamed of herself and I really hope that Gambuzza does not keep employees who can be so cruel. My experience with the other stylists was absolutely amazing. They were so kind and validated all my feelings in that moment that she was in the wrong. I appreciate the 2 women Kayla and Jenny. I also appreciate the young man who worked there who ran out after I left to apologize snd hand me a complementary card. read more

As soon as I walked in I knew I was in the right place. The inside of the shop looks and feels like a fancy restaurant. I got my haircut done by Paige, and you can just tell she knows exactly what she's doing. I went in the messiest and longest hair I've ever had and asked for a modern mullet, and she provided what I needed, not only VERY quickly, but also perfectly. I have literally NEVER had a haircut look so good! We had some good conversations as well, not a single dull moment. I'm so glad I discovered this place. I had been going to Gambuzza's for a few years now and Jessica had typically done a good job. Gambuzza's requires you to put in a credit card and expects you to show up on time or they will charge you. I showed up 10 minutes early and Jessica went about 12 minutes into my appointment with another customer. There was no apology from Jessica. I told Jessica not to rush through my appointment to make up time for her next appointment. She usually takes the full 30 minutes and she rushed me through in 15 minutes. She cut short the shampoo and rushed through the cut. Exactly what I asked her not to do. I was upset. The checkout girl at the counter asked if everything was good and I said not really. She said nothing. They usually offer a survey at the counter and she didn't offer one. Luckily, I got an email. I filled it out with this same experience. Someone from their customer service team called me and apologized. They said they would give me a free haircut on my next visit. I contacted their customer service for the free haircut and no one contacted me back. Poor customer service. I will not be back and would not recommend this business to anyone I know. read more

My first visit. I generally go back to my barber in Memphis TN when I am there in business. If needed I have tried various options sports clips, great clips etc. Today I had a haircut and beard trim with Jessica. My brother had a haircut with Randy. My youngest son had a cut by Dawn. First off the customer service was great. The lady at the front was super nice. All of the stylist were nice, professional, and fun if you ask me. Sweet and engaging. My hair looks great. She took the time to be sure it was right. As did randy and dawn got my other folks. My beard is in great shape and she got my eye brows and ears well. Overall a great experience. We were on time. I read that others had issue when they were late. I am glad that they have a strict policy if you will, as it does not run into my appointments. I will be on time or early for appointments. If not I call and verify I can still keep it as I don't want to get in other customers time and get a rush haircut. Great job. I think I have finally found my hair stylist home!! DON'T GO HERE if you are a woman wanting a traditional "men's cut." I was put with a woman who had worked in a salon. I had to say that I wanted a taper cut to blend into the longer top about 20 times. For some reason she decided to undercut one side and blended the other. As you can see, the base of the neck is completely uneven. And this is Not a taper cut. While everyone else was having a nice,leisurely, fun time with their barbers, chatting away, I was in absolute frustration trying to communicate that I wanted a taper cut blending into the longer top. Then the person upfront came up to my barber and told her that her next appointment was waiting, I E hurry up. Yet, both customers next to me had been there longer. She did keep trying to fix it when I expressed frustration with what was happening. But you can only do so much once you've undercut some thing. This was probably the worst haircut experience of my adult life, Barbershop, Salon, High-end, Low-end, Big City, Small Town. Not worth the $45 (with tip) I guess I now have to go to Supercuts or something to get the base fixed. ***UPDATE: I called in to complain and explain what happened. They did give me a free appointment to have it corrected. I did not want to go back to the same location so I had to drive even further, to Cedar Park, but it was most definitely an improvement. But again, you can't do anything once you've undercut, except wait for it to grow out. Now I actually have a taper cut! read more

I've been here a couple of times and have had decent experiences, but I have noticed that very few barbers stick around, especially the good ones. I had Jenny N. today and it was the worst haircut I've ever received. She attempted to line the sides of my face, which I did not want her to do, and they came out uneven and it was the sloppiest attempt at a haircut. Also, she trimmed about a 2 inch gab on one side burn and left the other connected (which again I never wanted her to touch my side burns). There is absolutely no way that Jenny has passed any sort of formal training for cutting hair. Needless to say I will not be back and there is probably a very good reason the good barbers leave. Well presented location, fair price for value, courteous service, social entertainment while you wait, a heck of a new-customer promotion, and tons of potential. Found them through a Facebook promotion for their grand opening offering a free service for new customers and they did not disappoint. My barber Jacob did a phenomenal job working with my request of style and the extra care with the hot towel, shoulder massage machine, and clean up rinse was excellence expressed above and beyond. The ambience was designed to be relaxing and quaintly social with drinks and a clever mini-shuffle board available while you wait. The service is efficiently streamlined with online booking and digital check-in which I definitely recommend using before you show up because it can get quite busy for walk-ins. The full experience is their standard so there's not too many prices or offers getting thrown at you for additional services. But there are a few that may be worth consideration like beard trims and such. All in all, repeat service is definitely warranted for this exemplary establishment. Just remember, this is a place to make good time for. Trust me. Room for improvement: Since appointments are allotted for half-hour, time can get tight doing two rinses. Barbers should take the most time on the cut to ensure timely but comfortable turnover between appointments (my appointment was 15 min late). Because barbers should Never feel rushed and the first impression of a barber comes from his timeliness. So if most men's standards for a haircut is just to get a good cut (which it is); then the massage, hot towel (perhaps post-cut), and the rinse post-cut are more than enough for the customer to feel that extra care and elevated standard. No need for two rinses. Save much needed water instead. read more

Well the worst barbershop I have ever been into. I had my son schedule at 4 pm and reached there at 4:07 pm and the staff said they have 5 mins late policy and we have to reschedule the appointment . I told them last time I was their and waited for 30 mins before my chance came. He said he don't know anything about it and can't help and we have to reschedule the appointment. My name was already on their list. The wait time was minimal (less than 7 minutes) and they poured me a cook, frothy root beer. Never thought I would try a new place as I usually don't like to spend a lot to cut my hair. But this place was amazing. The staff were superb, Jacob asked all the questions before getting started and asked for my input throughout the process. I felt very relaxed and enjoyed the close shave and hot towel. This is not a barber shop, it's a glorified hair salon. My first and last time here without a doubt. Haircut itself is uneven and underwhelming, my beard is terribly lined up and my mustache doesn't even connect to the beard anymore. Can't believe I paid extra to have my beard massacred when I could have easily done that myself. Makes sense why they don't hand you a mirror to take a close look when you're done. Maybe slowing down and taking your time would yield better results. I don't like leaving bad reviews but if I can help save somebody their time and money, it's worth it.
