Tuition is transparent, with no hidden fees, and includes a full meal plan and three additional enrichment activities. Although our child can be a picky eater at home, he has become much more willing to try new foods at daycare. GQCC also offers a large playground and is conveniently located near a highway exit. They have made lots of friends and are constantly talking about all the fun activities they do at the center. Both of our girls started when they were just a few months old. Eila is now almost 4 and Maebh is 19 months old. The pandemic has been challenging but the center staff got us all through it so far safely and my daughter Eila was able to quickly make up ground in her language skills after staying home for several months when the pandemic first hit. Now she's talkative as ever and even is writing her own name. Maebh is strong-willed and loving and she enjoys spending time with other kids and her teachers. Mabel, Carla, Kelly, Mancy, Ping, and the whole staff at Sunkissed Acorns are incredibly warm, caring, and thoughtful people. In the early days, they helped kids (and parents) adjust to the daycare drop-off routine and progress through the rapidly advancing developmental phases. Whether it was letting us know when to get bigger diapers, help introducing foods, or reinforcing potty training they were with us every step of the way. In the later years, they taught our girls excellent socialization skills like how to play in groups, manage their belongings, and clean up their messes. On the academics side, they taught our girls letters, numbers, arts, science, and even a bit of Chinese! When COVID-19 took us all by surprise and they were temporarily closed like many others, their communication was clear and consistent throughout. My Wife and I were actively searching for a daycare to begin this September for infant care. We drive past this location everyday. It's located at a very busy intersection of Route 18 and Route 58. It's not a huge place and taking a left there seems pretty difficult, especially during rush hour. We both work, and all of the daycare facilities have been very accommodating in scheduling tours (because they're open until after work hours because that's why people need daycare!). Well, that accommodation ended with this place. I called up in the morning at 8:15, they're open for a bit by that point. The person I spoke with had no clue about tours or scheduling tours...they said I'd get a call back from the director who was not there yet. I finally got a call back...two days later. Then when I explained again what I was interested in because the first person didn't take notes, they seemed annoyed that we wanted to tour around 4:45/5pm. They said they'd need to look into it and call me back. That was about three months ago now. They haven't called back and they won't. If their customer service, attention to detail, diligence at their job, and professionalism is exhibited by their behavior in just trying to schedule a tour then how do they care for your child?

I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!

My son just graduated from kindergarten! I am so proud of how great he did and wanted to thank Little Willows for helping with that. He attended Little Willows for preschool and went into kindergarten feeling confident and ready. He knew all his numbers, days of the week, the months of the year, he could write all his numbers and letters and he could write his first/last name (which a lot of the kids in his kindergarten class couldn't do). They also taught him important skills such as being a good friend, standing in line, sharing, waiting your turn (that's a tough one!), listening to and following directions. Kindergarten wasn't all smooth sailing though, at the first parent teacher conference his teacher had concerns about his social behavior. I was very concerned and emailed Little Willows to see if they had any advise. Lisa called me about 20 minutes later. She was so helpful to me and had so much insight on how to help my son get back on track, which he did and at the next conference the teacher said he was doing great. The teachers at Little Willows truly care about the kids and their parents. They understand that all the children have different needs and help each one grow. Little Willows is a wonderful school and we have had such a great experience there! My son is looking forward to going back for the summer program too! read more

I chose this preschool for my child to attend because I immediately liked the teachers as soon as I visited. They were very kind and I loved the way they interacted with the children. I felt they would be very good educators and provide structure to the day as well as lots and lots of fun activities and learning. We have been attending for 5 months now, and we love it there, and plan to stay there for the duration of our preschool journey. I have a pretty reserved child that is supper attached to me, and the teachers (Ms. Lisa, Ms. Anne and Ms. Melissa, have worked to meet our specific needs. I see lots of progress every day (from getting better at drawing, to busting out in songs we learned in school, or to simply saying phrases like, "if you can't do something, Ms. Lisa just says to try it again!" :) I love that the teachers are always positive, and it seems this is something they love to do as opposed to just a "job". They have a lot of experience and I also love that the center is not too big (works well for a more reserved child). They are also very flexible with time/schedules, which I have found hard in other daycares. We are super glad we found them! read more

My son went to Little Willows for 3 years and we miss it so much. I felt like I was dropping my son off with our extended family and felt comfortable with the entire staff. Unfortunately my son struggled with some of his Pre-K work. However, the team developed a plan to work with him and help him meet his academic milestones. I feel my son would have had a lot of trouble in kindergarten if he had not built such a strong foundation at Little Willows. Thanks to the team he was prepared for the challenges of kindergarten. Little Willows also offers a great summer camp that integrated academics into the kids summer fun. My son looked forward to going to camp every day... My daughter is receiving care from little willows since this March, and she loves the daycare a lot. When I pick her up from school, she is always proud of showing her drawings or art craft works. Although it has been only a few months since she started, I can feel that she is getting more independent. She can zip her jacket and put her own clothes and shoes, and she is only 35 months old. They provide outdoor activities twice a day even in winter in their back yard, where there are plenty of toys and even a slide. I am happy with that, because my daughter is tired and can go to bed earlier. Little willow is marvelous; kids can develop their communication skills through morning circle time. read more

My son has some seperation anxiety and the teachers here are super supportive about that. It's almost the end of the year now and what a difference socially and academically I see in him. Our son has been at Little Willows for about a year and a half, and our experience has been 100% positive. I love the small scale; my son was very shy when he started, and has grown leaps and bounds socially. I feel that the small, intimate community of families has allowed him to "come out of his shell". This was our daughters first year in school and we could not be happier with the experience. The teachers were very patient and helpful with our daughter who had a tough time transitioning in the beginning. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly, which made me as a Mom, relax! Our daughter always comes home with projects, which is great. A white board is placed in the hall with a re-cap of the day's activities, which I love. The directors, Annette and Cristin are both very amazing. It is very easy to talk to them, they are always very inviting and very relaxed, and problem-solving-focused. My son started in Willow Path at 20 months in Toddler class, after waiting on the list for almost a year. (Yes, there is a waitlist and it almost takes a year) In the end, it was all worth it. The biggest plus is the outdoor space that they provide. I can't tell how much my son's physical and mental capabilities have improved in even a very short time. Teachers give you great feedback, always available to speak. At the end of every week, we get a small booklet on the activities they have done that week, those are great memories! Some answers to the things people have complained about here: 1) You may not get a hold of someone very easily because teachers are busy tending the kids and their parents. I feel like this is more important to care for your business rather than only treating it like a "business". 2) Someone called the waitlist a "scam" which is a pretty degrading accusal. We waited on the waiting list for a long time, and we got in. It is just a daycare with very high demand. You can't just blame the directors because they have been honest with you that it will be some time until you get in.

The worst daycare I have ever dealt with. my son came home with poop so old and dried to his bum…read moreand diapers filled with hours of pee. He got rashes all the time from this place. The teacher called almost everyday complaining about my 3 year old who was just being your typical 3 year old. my son learned so much at his old daycare and I cannot tell you one thing he learned at this one. He comes home crying that his teacher is mean and I stressed this concern to her supervisor. 1 day later and as revenge the school literally reported my family because my son had the tiniest bruise on his hip. we grabbed him from running out of time out to put him back in. If you were to see the picture of the bruise...its so small you would ask where it is!!!Call child services on people who deserve to have it called on them. you don't go trying to ruin families and children's lives because someone complained about how there son is being taken Care of at school in the first place. i Considered taking him out for weeks before this and I knew I should have! ALWAYS TRUST YOUR GUT AND REMOVE YOUR CHILDREN FROM TOXIC PLACES!

We entered our girls into Thacher in the upper elementary school (grades 4-6) this past fall. While…read moreone of our daughters is having a very positive experience, our other daughter has been having a less positive one. She has dyslexia along with some other learning issues, which we made very clear to the school during our application. Her teacher, Amy Smith, seems both unwilling and unable to work with students who don't learn in the normal fashion. Amy has been very difficult to work with: she doesn't communicate well and she doesn't follow through on things she says she'll do. With the exception of one administrator, the school has been completely unsupportive of us and our issues. We will be withdrawing both our daughters from the school next year. I would recommend Thacher upper grades for students who are bright, quick, and self-motivated learners. If your child isn't all of those, I would highly discourage you from choosing Thacher. Certainly if you run into problems, you won't find support from the administration. We were warned by a family who had a very similar issue last year. Their daughter was also dyslexic, also had Amy Smith, and also had a horrible experience with the administration. They withdrew their daughter mid-year (forfeiting their tuition) because their daughter was so miserable.

The teachers and administration are intentional about getting to know each child individually to ensure that each child's educational needs are met. Great teachers. My son learned so much from the teachers and exceeded in elementary school after he…read moregraduated thanks to what he learned already at yu. There were some odd rules that we never knew when we originally enrolled e.g. The daycare is opened from 7am to 6pm but you are not supposed to exceed 9 hours of child care. Overall, however they manage to maintain great teachers (there are teachers who've been teaching there for many years) and we were quite happy with the education and the care that he got. The teachers genuinely care for the kids.
