It was really informative to see the sheep being milked, and learning about the cheese-making process. It's clear that everyone involved in this operation is passionate about animals and farm life. The owners, Tamara and David, were so nice to talk to. I especially liked that they acknowledged the native land and are committed to reducing waste as much as possible, from having the water go up to the irrigation system, to make a delicious bagel chips from their stale bagels. The charcuterie experience at the end was so tasty. They give so much food, and you can also buy more cheese just to bring home. We got a block for $15. It was cool to eat the cheese when you literally saw the process of its creation minutes prior. You're able to bring doggie bags home as well. Don't even get me started on how beautiful the house is. I cannot recommend visiting this farm enough. They have a portapotty and plenty of volunteers to help guide you. If you want a tour, thats great, if not go at your pace. My advice: bring a backpack, bucket, collapsible cooler and water. The prices are $12 a pound, which seem fair considering you're paying $7-8 for a small 6 oz pack in the grocery store. Plus, you can't beat picking them fresh. There's a pond and picnic area to enjoy your fresh picked raspberries or a packed lunch, if you want to make an afternoon out of it. Not a lot of shade on the property, so if you go on a hot day be prepared with water at hats.
