While on vacation in Midland we decided to stop and check out this restaurant as we've heard from multiple sources that service and food is behind exceptional. Word of mouth didn't disappoint. We were serviced by Talee and let me tell you, she is AMAZING. Not only did she keep our drinks flowing and full, she recommended the mushroom sliders. OMG, delicious doesn't even describe the first bite. So flavorful. Talee is a character and probably one of the best servers/bartender/customer service expert I've met in a while. Wishing we lived closer as this would be an every week get together for my husband and I. Loved the atmosphere and the laughs were non-stop with Talee. I frequented one of the locations in San Antonio and enjoyed them. This location is not the worst place I've been to, but 1:00 a.m. hit and they are cleaning up, paying little to no attention to their patrons. Also, we did have to wait for about 10 minutes before anyone even looked our way at the bar when we first arrived-in a bar that wasn't very busy. I can't really review many of the drinks, but I can say the bottle beer is cold, but the staple of West Texas, the Chilton, is the one drink I'll pass on next time. It is made with both fresh lemon and bottled lemon juice, which you can definitely taste. The best ones I've had are made with fresh lemon. It does make a difference. 5/10. The staff isn't very attentive, even when trying to close out. Again, not the worst, but definitely not the best. ***I will note that the food in SA is good, so I would have the same expectation here as well. It certainly smelled good. read more

I should have read the reviews before I came here. But, Don Tomas was closed and I was hungry and this was next door. I ordered the cheese steak and there was basically no steak in the sandwich and I got cold fries. stick with a burger, that was way better. I think my steak sandwich was sitting in the kitchen for a little too long and was forgotten about. I started looking around at other people and noticed that not many people had ordered any food. Now I know why. The service was ok, staff was friendly, but like someone mentioned they are always doing something. I came at a slow time and I was helped by three different people. What happened to this place?! I used to come here in 2017-2018 when they had friendly, healthy ladies working and the uniform was short denim shorts with pantyhose and boots. It was like a TX version of Hooters. But NOW it's just a bunch of skinny skanks wearing old ass work out clothes who sit and chat amongst themselves rather than being friendly with the customers. The combination makes for a pretty poor environment all together. I'm not sure which is worse; the service or the lack of uniforms. Probably the latter. Bring back the uniform and the tights. I've been to this Lil Woodrow's a few times. This time was to watch the Rockets throw up on themselves to the Warriors in game 7 of the WCF. Anyway, its a huge oilfield hangout. Lots of guys in here. Food is average for bar food. Service is ok considering the crowd. Bar is probably not the best place to sit as service is slow due to all the other things they have to do, so not the bartenders fault. I'll go back as it's very close to my hotel. read more

This is a shame because I thoroughly enjoy this bar. I seriously wish I could give Little Woodrows a higher rating. The food is sub par and the service is garbage. They have a great patio filled with giant pong, connect four and jenga layered out over turf around fire pits that seat large groups. The problem here is how long it takes a server to realize you are on the patio. I've heard from locals that unless you're a man the servers won't serve you but in my experience that's not the case. Time and time again I've bad to chase down a server to even put an order in. It takes at least an hour after that to receive one beer and then you'll never see your server again regardless of how busy it is. When you go here, make sure to order a couple buckets to avoid this same service. Lastly, I'm not sure if this is all servers but the one I talked to was an escort. I know this cause after I got her number, I asked if I could buy her a drink a couple of days later when she responded with her nightly rate. That's Little Woodrows in a nutshell out in Midland. This place is a very hit or miss especially if it's nothing but girls at the table. The waitresses will flat out ignore you unless you are a man or have a man at the table. It's harder than pulling teeth to get served here if you're a woman. They will walk past you multiple times and even watch you walk in and still refuse to help you. Me and my friend have had to get up and leave to go to another bar after waiting 30 minutes for service even when it's not busy. I have gone in to try to get drinks just to be walked past several times and ignored. This was my 3rd trip to this place--very inconsistent experiences. On this particular evening we went with a small group and sat on the patio for a chill evening. Waitress was young (first job perhaps) and trying her best as the only person out there, and she made some poor assumptions about pricing. The bill was almost $100 for a few basic, single drinks that were forgetful in quality. When asked to speak with the manager, the waitress said that there was nothing she could do and the manager was busy. With a more firm request, the manager Alex showed up in about 1 minute. He was just as young and of questionable competence. He did what was requested, but the experience isn't one anyone in my group will repeat at Midland's Little Woodrow's. I was here in April meeting some people for a business mixer. We were outside and had the WORST service ever!! Unless you were male, the waitress wouldn't wait on you. So we tried going inside and order from the bar. The bartender said we had to order w/ waitress outside. So we went outside and finally got the waitresses attention (20 min later), placed our order. Meanwhile, 2 gentlemen in our group went inside and ordered from the bar. They came outside w/ drinks. Our waitress returned w/ drinks... not ours . It was drinks for the other table (4 gentleman that were in our group ). They placed their order after did. The waitress came back 2 more times w/ drinks... and once again they were for other gentlemen in our group. I went inside, found the waitress and asked for my credit card and cancelled my order. We were there for over 2 hours and I never got a drink. If you are female do NOT go there you will not be waited on. The manager did come outside and apologize for the poor service. Informed us it was the waitresses 2nd day. That still has nothing to do with not waiting on you if you are a female. read more

She asked if we wanted doubles on the drink. give me a break, we are going to pay double the price for even weaker drinks. Awful awful awful! 3 waitresses in the corner waiting only on their friends, 2 waitresses in women's bathroom on phones, and not a single one had time to come take our order. Just for fun we sat to see how long it'd take....20min later no one had come to our table. And eye contact was made several times. It was 3pm & we were 2 of about 15ppl total. Decided to get drinks at bar. Waited 15min while 2 bartenders giggled & visited with boys on opposite side. After 1 hour, we each had 1 beer. Glasses made the beer taste like soap. I've given this place a try numerous times and every single time it's this bad. Food is overpriced & portions are hilariously small. Either there is no management present or they don't care. It would take 1 walk around the place or 1 visit to the women's bathroom to see that you have an absolute waste of a waitressing staff. read more
