Very compassionate vet office from the receptionists to the vet techs to the Doctors. Always willing to fit us in when and where they can.

Called to get my 16 year old miniature poodle leg checked after she jumped off my bed. She injured her back leg and has been limping around. Was attempting to find a closer veterinarian. Called this morning...explained what had happened to my dog...receptionist told me that if I was a regular customer I could get an appointment but since I was not...they would not see her. How is that for COMPASSION??? My elderly dog is in pain...this place is a joke! read more

Very disappointed. For the pass few months I have been taking care of my grandmother's dog since she's been in the hospital. He's an old dog who was a few weeks shy of being 15 years old. He was sick, dying, and clearly suffering. We need to take him to a vet to have him put down. We called Littlestown Veterinary Hospital for help since they take care of my other dog. We explained the situation to whoever answered the phone. We were rudely told that they were not accepting new patiences and that was the end of the conversation. They didn't seem concerned about our dog's condition. They offered no condolences or alternatives since they refused to see him. We didn't want to become a new patience we just wanted to help out dog pass easier without suffering more than he was. He passed later that afternoon. Cannot say enough of how these folks work together seamlessly, professionally, and above all compassionately, in accommodating both myself and my dog (Diesel, as his name was from the shelter he came from). They are the best I could imagine at keeping you informed, and know how important your family member/buddy/working animal is to you. As I have learned, many if not all of the staff there have animals of their own and are passionate about what they do. I really appreciate the young lady showing me her duckling she had brought in to work to get care, while my dog was being treated. But any experience in there with anyone is a pleasant one, and I equally appreciate all of them, and their patience with me as a new dog owner. I have disabilities for which my dog is from a program to go into service training, and Dr. Kubala was willing to correspond with the programs staff to ensure we were thorough in complying with the programs requirements. That was so very important to me, and I could not be more impressed with all of the people there. Dr. Holland even kept me informed about Diesel while Dr. Kubala was in surgery with another clients animal. They really do care about these animals. To me, it's well worth any cost to know my buddy is getting the right care by good people, and luckily, these folks are a very short drive around the corner for me. read more

I am impressed and thankful for this veterinarian office! I do believe they saved my pet rabbit's life. The rabbit had stopped eating, which becomes an emergency in rabbits quickly. Anyone familiar with rabbits knows they have a delicate GI system -- and when a rabbit gets ill, they go downhill fast. When my rabbit showed no interest in food, I called our regular vet (another office) knowing I had an emergency on my hands. This other vet agreed he needed to be seen quickly but they had no available openings. I was looking at bringing my rabbit to Vet Urgent Care, but one that treats rabbits is difficult to find. In the veterinarian world, a rabbit is considered an exotic animal, which not all dog/cat vets will treat. My coworker suggested Littlestown Veterinarian Hospital. I'm so happy I called them! They gave me a same-day appointment and my rabbit was seen by Pamela Jennings, DVM. The veterinarian (Dr. Jennings, who is fabulous and awesome and GREAT) as well as the staff and techs were TERRIFIC! They did an excellent job of diagnosing, treating, medicating and caring for my pet. They were kind, professional, accurate, thorough, caring and did the job!! My rabbit did well and they helped him.
