I've been attending Coach's boot camps since this last summer and it is everything! She makes working out meaningful but fun. On Wednesdays, I'm in a safe space of body positivity and it truly is a comfort I never thought I would experience while working out. Along with working out with Coach Coco and the bunch (we need a name for her followers lol) I've participated in not 1 but 2 21 Day community cleanses she leads. And when I say amazing, I mean AMAZING. I extended the cleanse 5 more days because I loved the way my body felt. The community cleanse consists of support from Coco and those in the group. We exchange recipes, daily check ins and discuss our challenges all the while encouraging each other is just the tip of the iceberg during the 21 day challenge. There's so much more I can say but you have to just experience it to get it!

Before COVID closed everything down, her class was always full. I didn't even like spin classes, or so I thought, but Coach Coco's vibrant energy filled the room and made it fun. She had great music and a sunny disposition. She motivated me both physically and mentally. Before I knew it, I was attending spin class every week. I started referring to Coco as my "Cycle Therapist" to my friends. :) Once I found out she was a Health and Life Coach, I knew I had to share my cycle therapist with my social work networking group. So in May, we reached out to her and booked her to conduct two sessions in June on the power of meditation. She was very professional, timely, and easy to work with. She was also reasonably priced. The sessions were a great success and we are hoping to bring her back another time this year. Coco encourages you to pursue the very best version of yourself and to embrace all the parts of you that make up who you are. If you are looking to change something in your life, call Coach with Coco. Just 30 minutes with her, whether in a workout class, training seminar or one-on-one life coaching session, and you will walk away better than when you came. As I stated earlier, I highly recommend Coach Coco's services and I look forward to working with her more in the future.

    I usually go late at night, which helps, because this Planet Fitness location can feel a little…read moreawkward to navigate -- especially when it comes to parking. Staff is none pressure, and generally at the desk :-D The gym itself is fine for what it is. Late-night hours mean fewer people, easier access to machines, and a more relaxed workout. During busier times, I can see this location feeling more cramped and less convenient. Biggest issue here is parking. It's not intuitive, not particularly close, and can feel annoying if you're already trying to squeeze in a quick workout. Overall, it works best if you're a night owl and already familiar with the area. Not my favorite Planet Fitness, but manageable with the right timing.

As we discussed different options before I completed my decision, Justin promoted the business in sharing some information that I was unaware of. Another employee name Brittany who needed to use his register also spoke to me and added other ideas that gave me another way of making my decision. What I observed was Justin, Brittany and Nyla were a team. Nyla became involved because Justin helped another client which these rotated their strengths and resolved three (3) different issues within one cycle. I was very impressed. Sharing this moment left me w/we do have Customer Service w/human beings and not automated who are very successful in completing a process all the way through. These three (3) positive and power moves exemplified; common courtesy, kind and caring spirits. They smiled during my entire visit and were very pleasant along w/having knowledge and gave me a whole new outlook to hold onto as a lasting impression. Thank you Planet Fitness for your select few that influenced me to stay in my contract. Please let me know them know I appreciate them and know they will go far, just keep striving for the best. When we started my training I was in physical therapy for my shoulders, and Chris gave gave me a challenging fitness routine that worked in conjunction with my therapist all while building the muscle groups that had been out of commission. I have been active my whole life, but until I started working out with Chris I didn't realize how my own routine wasn't serving me as well as I thought. I love that he did a range of motion and strength assessment before we started and then showed me through those same metrics how much I had improved in just 2 months. Additionally, I am in my 30s, so what might have worked in my 20s just wasn't efficient for my workout anymore. Chris's ability to use functional movement along with weight training is a great combination and so refreshing. Being flexible is just as important to me as being strong, and Chris recognizes that. Chris is also great at checking-in with me at every session to see not only how the exercises we have been doing are working for me, but to see, if I have anything specific I want to address. For example, I have always wanted to do a headstand (eventually a handstand). I told Chris this and he was really helpful in figuring out the best way for me to start building up to doing an unassisted headstand. Lastly, as a gadget girl and tech junkie, I love Chris's use of Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram in helping clients like me stay motivated and interested. Definitely ask Chris about creating a secret Pinterest board to visually document your physical progress. Also follow him on Instagram and Facebook for recipes, daily motivation, fitness tips, and more. Chris, you are all-around awesome! Chris is flexible, thoughtful, and thinks of the whole person, not just your abs - although my core is strong thanks to him! If you are looking for personal training, go talk with Chris.     I've been seeing DC of AbstrakFitness since March 1…read more Soooooo....aside from my tummy starting to flatten and tighten up-- My mobility, range of motion, and strength are all increasing tremendously! These were the primary things I went to DC for in March. Other results are byproducts of working on these goals consistently. My biceps and delts (arm and shoulder muscles) are starting to make an appearance. I can hold a proper plank for over a little over a minute now--compared to the 12 seconds back in April I can also do proper lunges because my balance and range of motion has improved. My booty is firming and becoming more round (best view is from the back ) and my boobs have gotten some of their toutness back. Not to mention I find sex enjoyable again because of increased flexibility. TMI I know. LOL! I'm still meal planning/prepping every week. I tweaked some things in my diet--a few years ago I felt like gluten and whole grain products was a culprit to some health/weight issues. I eliminated and lost a lot of weight. Didn't connect the two until recently. I tested my theory again--DC helped me readjust some things. Now, since I've eliminated again, some more pounds have come off. So, I was able to find/confirm a culprit through my food. DC knows exactly when it's time to give me new challenges in my circuits too. I must say that I have done some things that I didn't think I would be able to do. Overall, I am pleased with DC and my results. I am moving at a pace I am comfortable with while exceeding my own expectations. Consistency, commitment, and lots of patience.

She is the combined package: personal trainer; nutritionist; life coach; etc... she's also very professional, willing to have sessions at flexible hours and locations... she customizes work outs to really make it work for you and target your problem areas and/or handicaps. I definitely recommend her to anyone out there looking for a personal trainer.

In the past 4 years, I had gained 40+ lbs due to some special medicine I was taking (and probably some overeating of hamburgers too haha). I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it. Juice cleanses, special diets, pills, multiple private trainers, you name it and I had done it. Unfortunately, nothing stuck. Knowing my wedding was just around the corner, I had to do something to get the weight off for good. I wanted to feel confident on my wedding day! I found Lindsay through a quick yelp search and was intrigued. Let's get this straight. This is not a special fad diet or some strict eating plan, its a way of life! Lindsay gives you the tools, skills, and mindset to make a long lasting change in your lifestyle. During the course of the 6 weeks, I lost 8+ lbs and now (more than 3 months later) I'm still continuing to lose weight by following what she taught me. What I appreciated the most was her accessibility. She would review menus of restaurants I was eating at or provide me with customized recommendations. When I was frustrated with results or what the scale said, she was non-judgmental and offered helpful advice for how to overcome cravings or emotional reactions. In fact, I was surprised (in a good way) by how much of the program was centered around mindfulness and balance. Even though the program only includes 4 sessions, I felt like I was in constant communication with Lindsay and she genuinely cared about my progress. She frequently sent email updates and checked in, and when I had questions, she was never more than a text away. I am excited to see continued progress. I would recommend Lindsay to anyone!
