Not when I made the appointment, not in the confirmation email or two text messages, not when they called to confirm my appointment or when I arrived. The 10-minute video they had me watch said there were no contracts and no hidden fees. So imagine my surprise when they asked me to pay a $55.00 fee on my way out the door. I paid it, but I was mad. A manager called me within a few minutes and said there was a consultation fee, but because it was never mentioned to me, she would refund that fee, and she did. The Red Mountain program is similar to what is already out there. The weekly check-ins and counseling are the most expensive parts of the plan (similar to Weight Watchers), in my opinion. They counsel you on how to eat, but there is no buying food from them ( not like NutriSystem). They do promote and encourage you to buy their smoothie mixes, array of vitamins, energy shots, etc. I've completed and lost weight on IF + Keto, and twice on Weight Watchers successfully. The common ground is .. calories in and calories out. Most weight loss programs offer food & exercise counseling; some go further with weight loss prescriptions to suppress your appetite or stimulate metabolism. None of them are custom fit unless you go to a dietician. Under the Affordable Care Act, most insurance pays 100% for you to go to a nutritionist/ dietician. Ask your insurance company about this! My problem is a sluggish post-menopause metabolism that won't cooperate. The RM program wasn't offering anything I hadn't already tried. I was only interested in their Boost shot. RM's first impressions are amazing! The building is new; the lobby is large and inviting. They gave me a packet to look over while I waited for my appointment. That was the perfect time to have mentioned that there was a $55.00 fee for the consultation, but they didn't. The receptionist quickly went over everything in that packet, I felt like the packet was very upfront and honest, especially about what it cost. I was called back to meet with a med tech. She was friendly and kind and made me feel very comfortable. First, I stood on a machine that gave a full diagnostic report of my weight, BMI, general balance, etc. Then, she took a few pictures of me. She moved me to another room down the hall and went over my medical history. She asked me to watch a 10 minute video that basically goes over the two plans RM offers. A different lady returned. She went over my past surgeries and current meds. She never emphasized at any point that I would be under the care of a doctor, NP or RN while I was on this program (it's language they use to promote the program). Immediately after watching the video, she wanted to know which program I wanted to sign up for. I expressed that I was already practicing a healthy eating lifestyle; I was only interested in the Fat Burner Booster. She explains they can't provide the Booster Burner unless I sign up for the 3-Step $599 per month program, but I could buy the vitamin shots instead. The minute she knew I wasn't buying a program, she was out the door ... end of visit, even though we were in the middle of a friendly conversation. Honestly, it would save me a lot of time if they had done everything in reverse. Interview in the lobby, go over the two programs, and if you are interested, you could proceed with the diagnostic report, pictures, video, go over your plan and get started. I did not sign up for the RM weight loss program and my review does not reflect if it works or not. I've been on diets like this, and you will lose the weight if you put the work into it -- I can testify to that.

Their bathrooms are the best in McKinney! They are always super clean and always have a lit scented candle as you enter. The front staff are super friendly and highly competent! (Very rare in the current job climate!) The medical professionals provide a private and professional consultation. Their RM3 program consists of prescription medication and other options that promote weight loss. Their program also has a guide on what foods and portions you are allowed to consume. You know what? IT WORKS! I am 54 and have lost 50+ pounds since I started! I am down to 189 pounds! As long as you stick to the program and go in weekly for the medical weight loss shots/weigh-ins you will lose weight. I'm off the initial "diet phase" and am still losing weight. They make you rethink about every thing you put into your body. It ends up becoming a "religion" but having a realistic dietary program that you can live with once you are off the program is important. The program can be pricey. Then again, you get what you pay for. I strongly recommend anyone who is serious about losing weight to consider Red Mountain. The very knowledge about how your body processes foods and why your body stores and uses fat and protein is worth it by itself! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Red Mountain to anyone. Another item of particular interest is the fact that my PCP loves my results (I have physicals/labs twice a year). My blood pressure has dramatically improved, my blood sugar is insanely lower and all of my blood lab results are very healthy! Red Mountain has not only dropped my fat but it also improved my longevity! Insider Tip: With the exception of their "Rebound Kit" (Which contains patented pills/vitamins to help you stay on course after you exit the program), I would avoid the upsell on their products displayed in their lobby. Lack of competence and accountability. I visited this…read moreclinic as a new patient and had them run a swab. Dr. Mbah informed me the swab usually takes around a week to receive results. The next evening I received a notification from quest that the test code they submitted was not valid. It was already after office hours so I called the following morning to make sure they would follow up and get the proper test code sent to quest for my swab. I was assured that it was being fixed by whomever answered my call. A week after my appointment I hadn't received any updates so I sent a message through the portal to inquire about the status. I received a message back saying the results hadn't come back yet and I would be notified when results were received. Two full weeks after my appointment I still had not received any results, looked in my portal and did not see any update about test results so I called to ask again. I was told no results had been received yet. I expressed my concern about not having results yet since I was told by Dr. Mbah that it would only take a week and the notification about an incorrect test code. I was told that a message would be sent to the office manager to call quest and follow up about results and that I would receive a call from her. I did not receive any call or any other follow up. I took it upon myself to call quest the next day and inquire since I was losing confidence in the office's communication. I was informed by quest that after they notified the office of the incorrect test code, they never received any correspondence from the office to correct it and that my swab had since been discarded since it had been two weeks. I sent a message through the patient portal informing them of my knowledge of their lack of follow up and requested the office manager to call me. I never received a response from the office via the portal, phone call, or otherwise. I was also charged a $50 deposit fee as a new patient which I was told was "standard practice for all new patients" mind you I have PPO insurance and thought it was weird at the time but didn't question it. This place seems to be a scam and providing fraudulent services. It's also important to note that the medical assistant who set out the swab for the doctor to collect provided an expired swab which the doctor realized and switched before using. Additionally, I was offered some sort of cancer biomarker screening test (which I accepted because I was told it was covered by my insurance) that I was informed would get results back in 10 days. I haven't heard anything about those results either, we'll see if I was scammed and receive a bill for that service as well. I will be calling my insurance to deny paying for these exam tests. The office can eat that cost for their negligence. Do not go here.

My primary issue revolves around their handling of prescriptions. The medication I require is frequently backordered, which means the prescriptions my doctor writes often can't be filled at my pharmacy. Each time I've asked Delk Medical Center to transfer my prescription to an available pharmacy, I've been met with delays ranging from 3 to 5 days, which is simply unreasonable. Recently, I was without my essential medication for two weeks because it was back ordered everywhere. When the medication finally became available, the pharmacist informed me that my prescription had expired due to its age, requiring a new one be written. When I contacted Delc asking for assistance an appointment scheduled 10 days out was the best they were able to do for me. To make matters worse, I never received a call after leaving multiple messages at Delk requesting options to resolve my medication issues however,on the day of my scheduled telehealth appointment, I received a call four hours prior stating that my insurance hadn't accepted charges from previous visits. I was given an ultimatum to resolve this issue before my appointment, despite being at work with a meeting scheduled. When I expressed my frustration, they canceled my appointment via text, leaving me without medication for what will be a month by the Time I'm able to secure a new physician take all the blood panels and issued a new prescription. This experience has been beyond frustrating and has had a significant impact on my medical treatment . I expect better communication, efficiency, and care from a medical center. Unfortunately, Delk Medical Center has failed to meet even basic standards in customer service and patient care. I will be filing official complaint with the Texas medical board and my insurance company. I will say I thought the doc was nice but it's not possible to have her as a physician because her staff is so terrible, rude, and incompetent.
