    Blue latte
    Ana V.

Why 5 stars: the light in this space is perfect for a cold morning. The blue latte: peaceful, energizing, and lovely. I think this would be a great place to kind of have that healthy pick me up to get you rolling for the rest of the day. I love the white walls, plants, and juices and snacks available.

Whatever you do, don't get the chai latte. It tasted like water & nutmeg, no actual flavor. Everything else about the location was good. Friendly staff, clean/cozy environment, and quiet to get work done. But don't waste your $6 on the chai!!!

Chai latte just tastes like oat milk with nutmeg

Very cute spot but the chai latte is the weirdest chai latte I have ever had. You barely taste the chai. It's basically oat milk with nutmeg. My husband had the cappuccino and it was better. But just avoid the chai. I heard other people raving about the juices so maybe stick with those. Atmosphere is very cute and quiet. Just avoid the chai

Was driving through the area and had to pick a place to get some coffee to wake me up. Lively not only looked like a nice spot but it indeed was a good spot. Got a cappuccino with oat milk. I'm not sure what beans they use but the cappuccino was a little acidic but it still did the job. I saw that they had Blue Milk so I had to try it. It was ok compared to another I've tried from a different place. Their Blue Milk wasn't sweetened and that threw me off a bit because that's what I was expecting. I also grabbed a raw peanut butter maple syrup cup and thought it was tasty. The peanuts on top of it hit the spot. Pretty sure it's considered a raw treat because it was refrigerated? Would have bought a handful more of those but alas, portion control.

Delicious tea I had 2 cups! I tried Hindu Holiday! Great service! The whole place is a peaceful vibe! I was able to finish up some homework! Productive time and great experience!

They sent this piece of liquid garbage when I asked for an acai bowl, how do you even mess up this bad when its not even hot outside.

Clean place, nice ambiance, friendly staff. I had a Healthy Chocolate smoothie, which tasted... healthy. It needed a bit more sweetness, which I thought would have from the banana and dates. It wasn't terrible though. My husband had the Berries smoothie, which he liked. It's a bit on the expensive side. $8.50 for 16 ounces.

IT'S HERE! New healthy, vegan food option in South Slope area. We've really needed a place like this in the neighborhood. I've already been twice in the past 24 hours... and will definitely keep coming back. The space itself is simple and gorgeous, basically made for Instagram. There are both "grab and go" options, as well as a menu of items to order from that take about 3-5 minutes to prepare. Added bonus: the people who work here are so genuine, friendly, and knowledgeable. So far I've tried the Healthy Chocolate smoothie and the Vanilla Probiotic smoothie (with pea protein added!). Both were *incredibly* delicious and filling. It's nearly a toss-up but I have to say the Healthy Chocolate is my favorite so far... Imagine a healthy, vegan, upscale "Frosty" (the Wendy's dessert, haha). There's no question the ingredients are super high quality -- and of course, you pay a premium for that. In my opinion, it's more than worth it. I'm excited to try the more savory options on the menu, and foresee many breakfasts in my near future consisting of their Chia Pudding, Date Oatmeal, and Coconut Yogurt. :) Keep up the good work, Lively! And for those in the area, give this place a shot.

Delighted to welcome some healthy food to the neighborhood. South Slope has been lacking in fresh delights for quite some time and I've always thought it was a missed opportunity. Lively has fresh and bottled juices, fresh smoothies, supplements to add to drinks, a full coffee set-up, and for the time being a limited selection of salads and whole food snacks. Yep, South Slope has gone full cool mom. I even saw a cool mom stroll by with purple-silver hair while I waited for my order... My Vanilla Probiotic smoothie (almond milk, banana, coconut yogurt, vanilla, chia seeds, cinnamon, sea salt) tasted somewhere between vanilla cake batter and a chai latte, which suited me just fine. I'm hoping they'll roll out even more green salads and snacks but it's only been 3 days, so for now, bravo.

Cute spot serving health foods, juices and lattes! Friendly employees, cute marketing and stylish interior - I'm sure when it's open normally with seating it's a great spot to sit and enjoy a drink. I ordered the Golden Milk and it was delicious (I recommend getting a little honey in it).

Outdoor seating (thanks for the water!)

We happened to get there during brunch for our first visit, which was great because it was a mix of both lunch and breakfast options. We split one main dish from each part of the menu. The Tofu Benedict was the best Benedict I've ever eaten IN MY LIFE, and also top three best breakfasts I've ever had. The smoked tomato is what makes that dish extra special. The rosemary home fries on the side were also incredible and I'm really picky when it comes to potatoes. We also split the Chickpea Parm sandwich but I was so full that I ended up taking a majority of my half sandwich home. Which was perfect because it was even better cold! The Italian flavors mixed with the savory chickpea patty and the bitter greens was just perfect. The only thing that wasn't great (not docking any stars for this) was dessert. We ordered the Strawberry "Tiramisu." I'm putting Tiramisu in quotes because I detected no espresso and no cinnamon. It was super bland. I let my husband eat most of it. Would not order that again. I am looking forward to returning! The wait staff were really friendly, the ambiance was super pretty, and food came out super fast and hot. Perfection.

Warm atmosphere, a strong selection of vegan food and drinks, and the kind of place that made the evening feel special without trying too hard. It's since closed, and from what I understand it wasn't about the food or the love from regulars, it was the brutal economics of running a sit-down restaurant in a delivery-and-takeout world. Nine years of serving genuinely great vegan comfort food in Williamsburg, done in by margins rather than quality. That's a rough way for a good restaurant to go. If you ever got to eat here, you know what was lost. If you didn't, I'm sorry you missed it.

I was a little disappointed to see the skirt steak from my first visit was no longer available, but that quickly disappeared once I tried the mofongo. The mofongo had bits of tempeh bacon mixed throughout and was topped with oyster mushrooms. The plantain was sweeter than the traditional green plantain mash I'm used to, but I actually loved that twist. The oyster mushrooms were seasoned so well they reminded me of chicharrón, while the tempeh bacon added the smoky, savory element that mofongo traditionally gets from pork cracklings. What really tied the dish together was the creamy coconut curry, which gave it a delicious Caribbean-inspired twist. The entire dish was creative, comforting, and incredibly flavorful. I'll definitely be back again soon.

I did wait about five minutes before someone greeted me. The restaurant wasn't busy, but it looked like the servers were also handling hosting duties. One was bringing food to a table while the other was closing out a check. Once someone was available, I was seated by a very friendly hostess. I ordered the chimichurri steak, and it was excellent. It was easily my favorite part of the meal, and I'd definitely order it again. The person I was with ordered the curry goat and substituted the roti for beans and rice. They really enjoyed it, but we both felt the portion was too small for the price. The quality was there, but I do think the serving could be a bit more generous. We also ordered an appetizer that disappeared almost as soon as it hit the table because it was so good. I also had the Island Onigiri, which I really enjoyed, along with a passion fruit drink that paired well with the meal. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. The only small thing I noticed was that the restaurant was a bit chilly, and I felt like my food cooled down pretty quickly because of it.  The music was great, the atmosphere was relaxed, and overall I had a really good experience. There are still quite a few things on the menu I want to try, so I'll definitely be back and will update this review after another visit.

I can prove my Haitian ethnicity by cooking traditional dishes. The legume was on point! That dish was my favorite. My friend truly enjoyed her salmon. The white rice was also extremely fluffy and moist and judging by the diligent rice-washing that was taking place behind the counter as we ate, I could tell that the staff really works hard to make it not just an afterthought, but a quality addition to the meal.
