This is a German/Italian restaurant in Aachen town center. We had a business dinner with my German host. They have menus in English, but not the specials. The staff we had spoke English. We started with an appetizer plate which had a mix of German and Asian selections; medium rare beef strips, turkey medallions, pot stickers and shrimp accompanied with a garlic yogurt and spicy sweet and sour dipping sauces. Solid but not outstanding, the asian choices were unexpected. I had the Saltimbocca pork cutlet with potatoes and a side salad. The cutlet was wrapped with prosciutto and a little dry, but bacon makes everything great! Again solid but not outstanding. My host had the roasted lamb shank, and it looked like a better choice. I'd have that the next time, but a little pricey. Overall an ok place to have dinner. read more

Loved it! Great service, they were very accommodating of our family with small kids. Super yummy food with great prices. We came for a late brunch (breakfast served until 12:30) and the Omelet Hof and fruit salad bowl with yogurt were our favorite! read more

A very cute and comfy place just steps from the Aachen Markt. The salad with goat cheese was a hit, very generous size and delicious. Order that. Those of us who order led the chestnut soup, thinking it'd be perfect for a damp drizzling December day, were disappointed in its thinness and absence of flavor. Watery even. Lots of salt and pepper only helped slightly. The pizza took over 45 minutes and was correct as the French would say, but too much cheese made it gooey. And don't ask for red pepper flakes as that's not done. All in all it took almost two hours to eat what we thought was a simple lunch. Fine in a sense as we were on holiday and enjoyed each other's company. But we were hungry! And taking 20 minutes to bring a few soups and then another 45 or more for a pizza seems excessive. So, I'd recommend sticking with the salad and then making sure you have plenty of time. read more

Food was decent. Chicken salad had a charred taste. Pizza was okay. Wine was delicious. Service not so welcoming. Spot a tourist and they will ask for cash for payment, and make up some excuse saying the machine is broken, "it is defective". So don't come here if your a tourist. read more

Passed by the front of the restaurant and it looked comfortable inside and I wanted to try, but I also wanted to sit outside and eat on the plaza so I kept walking. Went around the block and into the alley and found that this restaurant also has seats in the plaza area, and so I did stop here to eat. Was a perfect day, sunny and warm, and lots of people were out. I had a really good salad with goat cheese. I also had a cup of mint tea which was nice (saw the hot mint tea served at several other places in Aachen and decided to try; very good and I'll now make at home). If the weather is nice this is definitely a good place to have lunch or dinner outside. read more

Amazing food! Great ambiance and service is awesome. The food here is delicious - we wanted to give a review to fellow Americans who may be traveling here. Definitely make this a stop. We started with the traditional farmhouse salad which went far above expectations (olives aren't pitted tho- fyi) and we ordered the veal schnitzel and pork entrees. Amazing!! read more

We walked upon this location while visiting Aachen. We walked a nice and clean environment with some aspects of being back home in the US. The waiter spoke English which was helpful and the service was somewhat attentive. The food is hearty and healthier then other surrounding options. Overall a nice experience and plan to return the next time I am in town to visit my friend. read more
