Had to try it for myself. I came in for a consultation today and explained to Acacia (she's an experienced RN and the founder of Elevate Wellness) about my low back pain and overall inflammation. All of my joints have been hurting for a while, but the back pain has been intolerable the last couple months. Even after chiropractic care and massage. It was really helpful to hear a list of all of the things she can provide that would help me. She was able to work with my budget on which of those would be the most impactful treatments right now and consider additional treatments later as my budget would allow. Acacia is so genuine, friendly, knowledgeable, and has a big heart for helping her community, that I felt at ease right away. I completed a session in the hyperbaric chamber and even had the red light therapy at the same time. Already moving with more ease and I'm shocked. It was helpful to learn she uses the only FDA approved hyperbaric chamber too. They have a larger version on the way as well! I learned that Elevate Wellness provides a military discount for clients who have served our country as well. As a USAF veteran, it warms my heart when businesses honor veterans in this way and is so appreciated. The nurse here on 12/6 is the person who assist me with these services. I alerted them more than 24 hours ahead that I am a hard stick/poke per their request. I asked the Nurse after the first attempt of poking me if there are accommodations, she reported that she uses these harsh straight needles on babies and children. Then on the 3rd try, she sticks it in an area where she verbally said, " This area tends to hurt" which was my wrist. I was there for literally several hours because one she sticked it in a known painful area and two they did not accommodate me with a butterfly needle as what every one else uses on me. The needle used was too big for me. This establishment prioritizes money over the best interest of their customer. I am not the only one with smaller/sensitive veins and it should be disclosed and advertised if they cannot and do not want to accommodate people with smaller veins. They rather stick me three times, have me there for several hours because I cannot take the fluids fast due to the placement and type of needle they used on me makes it sting. I tried to be so accommodating to them and understanding, but this is ridiculous for a service I am paying for just like everyone else.

The owner happened to be on site when I had my appointment, and he conducted my intake session. He's a trained and practicing naturopath, which makes me feel there's more of a holistic approach to treatment than one would receive at similar IV therapy centers in the area. Prime IV verges on having a more corporate vibe, but that doesn't reduce one's level of comfort. Both the doctor and the nurse were attentive throughout the procedure, offering water and making sure the lighting was to my liking. The member's section has some really fancy looking massage chamber seating, but the leather recliners in their general seating area are comfortable as well. The seating arrangements are in sets of two, so if it's a busy day patients might have a neighbor seated next to them. However, there is enough distance between seats to provide a buffer of privacy if desired. Once my IV was inserted, quickly and painlessly, the procedure only took about an hour to complete. I received their version of a Myer's Cocktail, and I felt sufficiently hydrated and refreshed afterward. The nurse answered any questions I had, and unobtrusively checked in occasionally to make sure everything was running smoothly. I was attracted to this facility because of their introductory offer, which was surprisingly low. I didn't feel pressured into adding extra services, in fact, the owner was very generous with free upgrades. Now, as a monthly subscriber, I'm finding their pricing continues to be more economical than other clinics in the Portland area. I'm excited to have found Prime IV, and look forward to future visits.

The process did take too long. They have pressure IV bags, to help things move along quicker. It really does seem like a great idea to get an immune boost, especially if you are traveling. It is pricey. They might have a discount for your first time. One really cool thing they mentioned to us was regarding iron infusions. Compared to the prices even with insurance, it can be thousands of dollars. Here they are much more reasonable, and you are not paying for everything else they charge you for normally. One other thing to mention. You won't have a needle stuck in your arm for the whole time. They use something that is soft and flexible, so you are free to move your arm around.
