I have been going here for years and nothing has changed-The staff at the desk is BEYOND rude and not helpful AT ALL. Dr. Roth's office overbooks and the wait is always over 20 minutes to an hour. They do not respect your time AT ALL. One of the nurse prac. dresses very unprofessionally and jokes around with other staff while waiting to be seen. I have worked with him professionally, for years and in that time, he became my family physician…read more He is kind, patient and personable. He cared for my toddler, my teen and my tween (one in the middle) into adulthood. My children were never afraid of him and never cried when they got injections. He took care of me and gave me excellent referrals. I am no longer in the area, but if I were, I would still be seeing him now. He told me one time, he treats from the cradle to the grave. I have seen him in action in the hospital and he was just wonderful with his patients. It is not just with me that he gives such wonderful care. If you are lucky enough to become one of his patients, you are in great hands.

I have a rather complex medical situation and they take the time to really take care of me. They do this with all their patients. They are caring and knowledgeable. The one thing thats worth making a note of is you can expect long wait times to see the doctors. This is because of the personalized attention they give to each and every patient. As long as youre expecting it, its not that bad. When it comes to doctors these are the best primary care physicians around. With hours Monday through Saturday, it is relatively easy to get an appointment if you are sick. They even have blood lab right in the building. I highly recommend Smithtown Medical Associates!
