I would not recommend her as an attorney. I was a young single mother for 8 years, and Ms. Vang represented me for approximately ten months in a case involving custody, parenting time, and child support. During this time, the children's father had gone as long as eight months without seeing the children, and prior to that his involvement was extremely limited--at most two hours per week. Despite this history, I was repeatedly told that I had no realistic options other than agreeing to a 50/50 parenting plan by Ms. Vang. She was a big push over during hearings allowing opposing counsel to make the narrative they wanted without objection. Given the significant history of abuse that both my child and I experienced, I requested multiple safety provisions to be included in the temporary parenting plan. I knew Ms. Vang is fresh out of college and chose to give her an opportunity as she assured that she had significant experience with high conflict cases and cases involving narcissistic counterparts. None of those requests were meaningfully considered or incorporated into the temporary parenting plan. I did not feel advocated for, supported, or protected. I felt pressured into agreements that did not reflect the reality of our situation or prioritize my child's safety. Without consulting me, Mai Vang scheduled a trial date after a hearing with the judge and opposing counsel. Then, just four weeks before trial, she chose to withdraw from my case after I expressed a desire to work with a professional experienced in creating parenting plans for high-conflict cases in preparation of the trial she scheduled after my disappointed with her work in the past 10 months. I was left completely on my own, four weeks before trial, to navigate an extremely complex and emotionally charged situation. In my opinion, this was highly unprofessional. I spent thousands of dollars on retaining her and keeping her as my attorney for her to leave me hanging even after providing the worst service ever. She also proceeded with hearings she was unprepared for. She showed up to the court room with ungroomed hair and an unprofessional look with three natural grocers totes full of paperwork. She didn't measure up to opposing counsel. Evidence I had provided was either not submitted correctly or dismissed because it did not meet evidentiary requirements. I was never informed that the evidence I submitted needed to be in certain formats to be accepted she should have done her due diligence and requested the correct court accepted formats. Nor were my witnesses adequately contacted or prepared. In one instance, the judge indicated he would likely approve a no-contact order but not the stalking order as submitted. Despite this guidance, Ms. Vang proceeded in a manner that did not reflect the judge's feedback and failed to present critical evidence effectively. After later consulting with another law firm, I was told that going from zero parenting time to 50/50 parenting time is unheard of. Then withdrawing from a case so close to trial and failing to prepare evidence in this way was highly unprofessional. Overall, I felt misled, unsupported, and poorly represented. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this attorney to anyone involved in a high-conflict custody case or who needs strong, prepared, and proactive advocacy.

Less than one year later, my ex-wife filed suit to extend and increase child support for my 2 daughters. She was represented by Stephanie Wilson who argued the case in court before Dale Penn (Judge) My ex-wife was an employee for child support and had presented many cases to be decided by Judge Penn before this case - they were on a first name basis. I moved to remove Stephanie Wilson as her attorney since it was a conflict of interest as she recently represented my wife and I. She responded with "We won't look at any details of that case" and "Gil Feibleman was presented an award for integrity" or something like that. Judge Penn allowed her to represent my ex-wife Frances. Judge Penn made it clear that he was not interested in anything I had to say even though I had overpaid voluntarily for many years of support. He simply said it "was a gift". He continued to rule for my ex-wife and made the child support retroactive to the filing date of the case putting me $6000 in arrears - even though I had overpaid $35,000 that was deemed "a gift". My oldest daughter wanted to contest and speak to the judge but she was told she could not without her mother knowing - and she still lived with her then and didn't want the repercussions. My younger daughter was allowed to be interviewed by the judge behind closed doors, over my objections. I guess she won the case for her client - even though she had all my information from the previous case and I'm certain that was all reviewed. I would not trust this law firm to be honest in any way, they will win at any cost. Unethical bunch of disgusting losers. This was 20 years ago and both my daughters now realize thier mother is a selfish person and used them for cash - They even refer to her by first name -not "Mom".

After my first divorce attorney folded, I hired Gil to end my spousal support after she married into money. You would think it would be automatic but it isn't. Gill takes his cases very seriously and personally. Over the years his paralegals have answered questions about other legal things and even asked him for his advice outside of retainer on simple matters. As a result I have given referrals to his office for the last 13 years. Gil is a higher end attorney and the money is well spent and he gives regular statements so you know where you stand and where your money is going. Gil tells me he has written family law for the courts and I believe it. Weather family law or business law, I always ask him who he recommends. I replied because I thought maybe we had a misunderstanding in my timeline & I wanted to clarify, wondering if that could make a difference in whether or not they'd take my case. The email I received back was rude and condescending. I still don't understand the "legalese" of what they mentioned, but I dare not ask them! They should actually call people when they say they will! That alone would have made a huge difference in my feelings towards them & had they actually contacted me in a timely manner, I wouldn't have posted this review. Another point that they should take note of is that maybe they shouldn't expect everyone to know all of the legal jargon that they do. If I were an expert at that, I probably wouldn't need their representation in the first place.
