My husband and I hired DJ Steele from LJS Productions for our wedding and we could not have been any happier! From the time that we first reached out until our wedding day Logan was amazing to work with. When our wedding venue burnt down shortly before our wedding Logan was extremely easy to work with in changing locations, and even offered up some other venue suggestions while we searched for a new venue. And then when it was forcasted to be pouring rain on our wedding day he came completely prepared to still party in the rain. He even played the song "Rain is a good thing" by Luke Bryan to kick off the reception, and I've never danced or sung so hard in my entire life, it's one of my favorite memories of the day. When we booked LJS productions, Logan was busy on our day. So we started working with Caleb. We did some basic emailing. The whole process was very simple and stress free. When the day of the wedding came, I was nervous about all the timing of music. Caleb was fantastic! He was right on cue all night and helped us stick to our schedule (people commented on how organized the wedding was!). He was personable and friendly, without being on of those DJ's that try to steal the show. Caleb played great music all night long. He fed off the crowd and picked songs that worked with who was dancing. We got a lot of compliments from guests on the music selection, as well as the volume (during dinner it was soft enough to talk over but loud enough to hear). I had initially hired LJS productions for just music for my wedding last Aug, but if it wasn't for Logan, our wedding would have been a complete disaster. My hired wedding planner dropped the ball hard. Not only did my family have to do most of the decorating, she left without saying anything half way through the reception...and she never once introduced herself to my husband. but that another story!!) Logan saw what was playing out with the planner, how upset I was; and came up to me to personally talk to me, helped relieve my stress and make sure everything happened the way it was supposed to. He took over and SAVED THE DAY!! Everything ran smoothly from there on, Logan making sure everything happened on time and in orderly fashion. Even when I had to leave the reception for awhile due to stress sickness; he kept the party and dancing going, kept everyone in good spirits. I cannot stress how amazing he was! The DJ can make or break a wedding so we wanted the best!! We booked Logan for our daughter's wedding. Our daughter had seen him perform at some events in Chico and always raved about him. Our wedding was in Sacramento area but this was never a problem. From booking, setting up, extra lighting, miking the ceremony, spinning tunes----everything was top notch!!! You will not be disappointed if you hire LJS Productions for your wedding. Ours was 3 weeks ago in my hometown (a 5 hour drive). Logan did not bat an eye at the distance, and the very minimal travel fee was MORE than worth it. Our wedding was such a blast. The dance floor was at capacity the whole time, and multiple people commented on how fun it was and how great the DJ was. He was such a pro at handling people's bajillion song requests, while also playing the stuff we had requested beforehand in his very helpful and thorough packet. He was also really sweet and patient with the little kids who would request the same song multiple times...in fact, he went and found my husband during the reception because he felt bad and wanted to make sure it was ok that he didn't repeat the same song again. We hired Logan for my June wedding at my parents home. I was a bit upset.. I filled out the 14 page paper with specific songs and if he could make 2 announcements for 2 songs that where requested by me the bride to two of my siblings because they where very important songs.. he played one of the songs but made no announcement before hand so I had to find my sister and tell her the annoucement he was suppose to make.. then the second song which was the most important was just never played. I told him he can take request which people did request songs and he refused to play any request. He played a lot of music that was not on my taste list, a lot of rap when it was a country themed wedding. I really didn't want to dance at my wedding which is sad... we also hired him for service for the wedding to mic my fiance and brother who was officiating the wedding. The mic was really bad it cut out a lot and I felt it would of been better to just not have it at all. These are just a few of the big things that I was angered about but above all else he didn't try to get the crowd out and dancing the only time he was on the mic was to announce my husband and I which he mispronounced our last name..which is Sullivan... not too hard. The rest of the time he was busy on his phone texting and doing whatever else I got a lot of comments about the dj just not really seeming to care... maybe we shouldn't of paid him all his money ahead of time and he would of tried harder. Logan DJ'd our wedding on May 3rd of this year and was absolutely wonderful. He helped to make our day run perfectly smooth and we received a LARGE number of compliments and comments on his professionalism and job extremely well done. He was incredibly friendly and thorough from the first time we met with him and listened closely to any and all of our requests even though we were all over the place and perhaps even somewhat vague as to what we wanted. He incorporated everything we asked for and choose the perfect music for each moment of the evening. On multiple occasions even despite the excitement and fast moving pace of being the bride, I took notice of how fitting the music was. He did a great job of reading the room and keeping the energy right where it needed to be. He thought to record the toasts which was very special to have to listen to after the fact. He also put together up lighting for the entire room which really made the room come to life and created the perfect atmosphere for our reception.
