Chris (The Wedding DJ) was FANTASTIC! He just emceed and DJed for my wedding last night and he did a spectacular job. He uses a very well thought out planning sheet that really helps guide the music selection process and sticks to EXACTLY what the bride/groom request. I gave him a list of songs that can only be found on YouTube and/or other non-mainstream places, even some lesser-known artists that most DJs don't have content from, and he had every song. The Wedding DJ mixed the songs perfectly, presented very professionally, and made an excellent impression on my guests, who all spoke very highly of their experience of the music. Chris did his own setup, with the help of an assistant, and was flexible with both spacing/placement of equipment and our time schedule (which was pretty off toward the end of the night, by our request). The sound was very clear, and a real joy to listen to with no awkward/annoying pops/crackles/mic drop sounds. The really great thing about Chris is his emcee presence. His voice sounds wonderful for announcements and he has no problem doing a very professional, and entertaining, announcers voice to make the wedding truly couple feel like movie stars. I kinda knew we'd have a great experience when I e-mailed him 15 times (literally) to change my mind about the planner and he responded back with "no problem at all, please let me know if I can do anything else for you." It was also a great sign when the officiant stated, "Oh! Chris!? I've done over a thousand weddings in over 20 years, and he is, by far, the very best!" And she was right! They were clipping tracks before the ceremony, the ceremony music was mixed and cued horribly, and the reception sound wasn't tuned for the space, and on-top of it, they were using a microphone, before they had clearly rung-out the room to eliminate feedback. On top of it, the guys were using a couple cheap collapsible Fender PAs, and not that they don't work well, they're just not up to par with JBL, QSC, Meyer, PK or other systems, and need to be amplified more to compensate for the low quality, which ends up muddying the sound. There aren't enough positive things I can say about the services provided by Chris from The Wedding DJ Company. My husband, myself AND our guests were beyond happy with the service and music that Chris provided at our wedding on 5/24/15 in Paradise. The entire process was easy and seamless. Living in SoCal we didn't actually meet Chris until the day of the wedding, but we emailed, talked over the phone and met over FaceTime many times. He was patient with us, answered our questions about order of the reception, worked in all of our requests, was an excellent MC, coordinated with our other vendors to ensure the reception ran as it was supposed to, and he even exhibited his Spanish skills when it was time to dance to cumbia! Not wanting to have to choose every song for our ceremony and reception, we gave Chris a list of artists that we liked and let him take care of the rest. He was on the same page as us through the whole process and when it came to the day of, he killed it! Our guests have commented to us on multiple occasions that our reception music was killer, and that is thanks to him! As others have noted, the guide they provide to their couples is incredibly thorough and helpful. It takes the guesswork out of having to pick day of music. We had our wedding outdoors at a private residence and were worried about being able to put a dance floor in the outdoor area. He checked out the space prior to the wedding and brought us a dance floor that fit our needs. When it came to the end of the night, he was super cool about playing the night by ear.
