We'd been trying to figure out what to do for both kids' birthdays this summer with the no-normal-parties bummer going on. Maybe we could do a masked-up animal show n tell on the back patio...? So I called Cindi (owner of All About Animals) after reading up on her website. She was generally doing online only stuff and was NOT doing birthday parties. I totally understood, I said - we weren't about to have a bunch of kids over right now. But would she do a "private" show n tell for just our 4-person family? She would. Score! Outdoors is too hot for some of the animals during the Texas summer, so we set up inside, with a table for her and 4 chairs facing the table, about 8-10' away. The agreement was she'd be masked up the entire time and so would we. She also left her shoes at the door, which we didn't even ask her to do. The kids loved it. We loved it. It was... just perfect. We picked 10 critters and geared it towards ones we could touch and often hold. The pictures don't show all 10, but dude... it was just awesome. Fun AND highly educational. If you're an animal person AND can be safe and respectful during this time, I HIGHLY recommend this. The kids were immediately asking when the next time Ms Cindi could come over again with her animals. Just... awesome!

They were hosting and Easter themed event with egg hunts separated by appropriate age groups (our 4 and 2 year olds didn't feel rushed or left out), the Easter Bunny was also there to take photos (we stayed a friendly distance away LOL), spring florals, bluebonnets blooming along their large pond, petting zoo, and more! The price at the gate (note: they do not do advanced tickets) is $15 per person. I do think that's a bit steep, especially without offering discounted rates for little ones. I'm not sure if the vendors are always onsite but they had frozen lemonade and other food and drinks for sale during today's event. We didn't indulge but the line for lemonade seemed to run smoothly. Other offerings: pony rides at an addition cost (we passed on this), a gift shop, mini playground and bounce houses, and fair games. My kids actually enjoyed these festivities more than the egg hunt and the animals. According to Huddin's IG, they have around 250 animals on the farm! We got to feed the camels and goats. Beware, you are up close and personal with the animals. My husband had to handle all of the feeding because the ghosts jumped up on our kids which was a tad bit startling in the beginning. All of the staff members were really kind and made sure to man the gates for each animal section to keep everyone safe. Overall it was such an adorable experience and we're looking forward to visiting again.

Annie and Tess were our guides, and I truly cannot say enough great things about them. They took the time to teach us about every single animal we had the pleasure of meeting, allowing us to move at our own pace and really enjoy every moment. I found myself feeling so relaxed and fully present during the experience, and that wouldn't have been possible without their patience and care. They were amazing. Honestly, all of the staff we encountered were so kind and welcoming. The animals were clearly happy and very well taken care of. My kids loved every encounter and even learned a little about how to care for the animals themselves. I actually saw a review complaining about animal poop around the property... but it's a farm. The animals are free-roaming instead of being kept in cages, which honestly made the experience even more special. If someone expects a hospital-grade environment, this probably isn't the place for them. This is a farm with well-loved and well-cared-for farm and exotic animals. I highly recommend bringing yourself, your family, and your kids here. You won't regret it. We already can't wait to come back -- I might even have to celebrate my own birthday here as an adult! Whether the docent was 18 years old or 80, they were well versed in the animals, species and habitat. Our visit was 8-11am. We noticed how lovely it was to have shade froth over so many of the walking trails. A definite plus in Texas on those hot days. Parking was so easy since we planned ahead when we got our tickets.
