I got served with an over 10k lawsuit that I couldn't afford to pay and that was on top of other debt that had been accumulating over the years. I didn't know what to do or how to handle the situation so I started looking into my options. By chance I stumbled into Aaron Lloyd's yelp page and thought to myself "what do I have to lose". When Aaron returned my initial call during my search for a bankruptcy attorney, a few things stood out: 1. I had not actually left a message - he called back based on the fact that I had just called and hung up; 2. He actually gave me good, meaningful input even before we contracted with him; and 3. He was helpful, earnest, and professional from the get-go. I called Aaron at this San Clemente office and I laid out my financial situation. Aaron listened actively and reassured me that this is common and I didn't have to feel guilty about persuing the BK7. Aaron arranged a meeting with him the next day and what documents to bring to prove my case before the bankruptcy court. Soon after, he called and provided me with my case number. Following my date with the creditors' meeting and the trustee, Aaron advised me it will take 2 months for the BK Judge to order the discharge. Aaron Loyd met me around downtown San Diego for our consultation. He had done a coworkers BK and he was recommended. It was literally one meeting, with the items he requested ready to be copied in hand. We knocked it out and communicated during the process frequently. Honestly I believe he did a great job. Then they ask me to send them tons of paperwork (took me all weekend) and I got them to them very timely- the next business day. They asked me to also take the bankruptcy course online. Did it that same weekend. We were trying to file bankruptcy the next month. Then my husband asked me to move out & he said he wanted a divorce. I spoke to Anerio & said he would help me even if I moved out of OC & said to go ahead & stop paying my credit cards. Weeks he ghosted me & then finally via text, he said he won't help me & to go to someone closer to my new town! I have delinquent credit cards now & the person he recommended to go to doesn't even have email!!! I contact someone else, who won't take my case until after the divorce is final. Takes over 6 months to do that! By then, I will be facing lawsuits by the creditors thanks to his advice. Plus my online Bankruptcy course is void as well by then. Waste!!! If he just said point blank he was not going to help me, I would have taken another option. Instead, I'm in worse position than ever! Other lawyers think what he did was flakey & say he was wrong to do this to me. Do not trust anything verbal! He even thought if I went Chapter 13 it would be $200 to $300 a month. He was wrong. Its $500 to $650 a month. Huge difference! Oh well. I seriously wonder if this didn't happen, would he even filed the paperwork at this point? Good luck with him. Maybe your case is easier?

I believe this was the difference between having a ruling in my favor and losing with a ruling not in my favor. Mr. Stivers is a highly competent attorney.
