Small branch of Lloyds TSB on the High Street in Garstang. It has two cashier windows and a depositpoint inside and offers all the usual banking services. Pleasant staff too, so all in all a nice little bank in a nice little town! :-) read more

Inside, there is just one counter with one or two members of staff waiting to serve you. It used to be a problem letting the staff know that you had arrived if they were round the back but this has now been solved - the door makes a loud electronic bleating noise as you push it open. The staff are always very friendly and efficient but the branch has cut its opening hours down to just three days a week. I do hope that they don't decide to close it altogether.

I find the staff here to be pretty friendly and helpful, they can help regarding both HSBC and First Direct accounts. I could easily pay in money, even though I had forgotten my card, as I had access to my online banking portal. The branch feels fairly modern overall, I like the "This is Manchester" branding on the exterior window and the overall look/feel of the branch. I do find their opening hours to be a little restrictive, especially on weekends, they close at 1 pm on Saturday and then they're closed until Monday, during the week the hours are the standard 9 - 5. 4* - Good bank branch in the centre of town for HSBC and First Direct customers and one I'll surely be returning to in the not so distant future.

And I've been to a few. It's got quite a few floors which probably meets a lot of different banking needs. Most of the time going to the bank is a hectic, painful experience. But it's made ever so easier at St Ann's.

Well unless I was an account holder they would not give me change for £5, there still a bank. Maybe I should have reminded them that as a UK tax payer and the bank was bailed out by the Government using tax payers money, that surely makes me a share holder. Also the counter assistant was very rude and jobs worth. No wonder high street banks are closing. This one should too and the staff made redundant then they might take the time to think yhat I may have been a future customer. Not now! If you have an account with Lloyds I recommend you withdraw your money and move to a building society where you will actually be a respected share holder. rant over.
