The staff always seem helpful and the customer service desk is always busy but well staffed. They used to have a car park behind but not anymore. If you are coming in by bus to the town it is quite a trek, I have never had a problem here although with it being quite small can sometimes be a pain getting the push chair round.

It is very modern and has excellent air conditioning meaning sometimes your actually looking for an excuse to go in there. When I wanted to open a new account it was very proffesionally handled and easily done. The staff were very friendly and guided me through the process highlighting all the relevent points well. It can get very busy during certain times of day so maybe plan your trip to miss the typical busy points of the day or at the very least book an appointment and come back after your shopping.

However you never have to wait too long here as you nearly always get served by friendly staff within 10 minutes at busy times and 5 minutes at off peak times, which as I'm sure most of you will know is pretty great for a bank. I didn't have any interactions with the staff so can't comment on that in detail, but they seemed okay. They was a decent number of cash machines inside, which were easy to use and in good condition. The inside of the bank was quite nice and modern, and I'm sure I remember seeing a second floor as well, there were machines for paying in money and withdrawing it, your typical ATM'S. This is a nice bank to have in a city center of a town like Birmingham, fairly close to the New Street Train Station too and a short walk from the Bullring and Grand Central, and I have to agree with the average rating for this place that it deserves a solid 3 stars!

What we have here is a large open plan banking experience in bright green trade marked Lloyds Colours. There are 2 desks for info, a number of tills and seated areas to wait or sit and complete your banking before joining the que. There are a number of self service deposit machines and letter boxes if you wanted to avoid queing.

Not many people can say that they have received excellent service from their bank, but I can!…read moreThe HSBC in Merry Hill is brand new, all fully automated paying in machines and computers etc. If you wish to see a member of staff, they give you a little ticket and the most ive ever had to wait is 5 minutes, and by that time the welcome staff have gave you a coffee and said it wont be long. The staff are always friendly and efficient in anything you ask them! I have never had any problems with my branch and tocuh wood I never will.
