Felt like I was excessively charged, when I was clear what I was going in for. I went in for a physical that's supposed to be covered by insurance. I tell them I just want what's covered. After the tests, they said I needed to go in person to talk about my results, even though I asked if that's even necessary and I'd prefer to be sent my results. When I go in for my results, I sit in the patient room for like 45 minutes. When I walked in, there was maybe one other person, not sure who else in the back. So it didn't seem busy. He finally comes to talk to me for like 10 minutes and the things mentioned are things I could've seen off the results of the tests. They charged my insurance for a "long" visit. $160. Apparently, it's based on when I walk in, even if they take forever to see me. I called about the $200 in claims and say I didn't want to go in the office, if I didn't have to, and I asked for what's covered. They didn't budge on the charges. I called my insurance and they called the office directly. Luckily, the insurance representative got some of it waived. Summary... I go in for an insurance covered physical. They end up charging me over $200 in claims. read more

The service and care at LMG are great. Having the walk-in option is a big bonus. Some feedback for the practice, the past few times I've been there, FOX news has been on in the waiting room. Given that network's lack of commitment to fact-based reporting, especially around science and health, it is disappointing that LMG Sterling has this consistently on in their office. Politics aside, health care providers should have a comprehensive commitment to patient care - including what they expose patients to in their waiting rooms. read more

Once upon a time I would have rated them 4-5 stars but in the last couple years they have gotten rid some of there better people like (Dr. Erin) leaving them with what's in place now. I went to LMG yesterday on 10/08/2023 around 11am at the Sterling, VA off of Rt. 7 to treat for my condition where I am constantly in pain and can barely sit up and think straight. The receptionist ask me the reasons for my visits. I had told her for the last seven weeks I have had these conditions and they are not getting any better (lot of pain in my neck and shoulders, dry throat, migraines, with dizziness and other factors). I saw my cardiologist last Wednesday and after his diagnosis, I thinks I have developed some a thyroid condition and I should see a specialist to have it treated or go to a Urgent Care type clinic or the ER. The girl didn't not think and told my conditions didn't warrant to be seen by the doctor. Since I am in extreme pain, I told the receptionist it is not your place who should be seen and I will let the doctor the determined of my symptoms. Then the receptionist proceeded to lectured me of my attitude. Keep in mind, I am in extreme pain and this girl coughing me an attitude. I have seen countless of times at a Urgent Care type clinic where a patients are not turned away especially in a post Covid era. I don't usually call for anymore head's or to be fired l, this girl deserves it. I am not a Karen or Kevin but for goodness sake, she needs to be removed from her role ASAP because lack bedside manners where patients are there for medical reasons or someone who cannot afford hospital ER treatments. The doctor who saw me did a fantastic job along with his medical assistant. My advice, if you go to this location, don't let receptionists like her lectures you about poor attitudes.. read more

The five-star is for LMG's physician assistant Lindsay Drummond-Thomas, who treated me recently for my urine problem. Although I have visited this office many times, I was highly impressed this time by her professionalism and compassion rarely seen with other medical workers. She not only meticulously explained her initial diagnosis, but also advised me on what I needed to do first and what next if things went otherwise. Likewise, she also told me how to monitor symptoms of possible side of the prescribed medicine to determine if I might continue or stop it. In a nutshell, you can literally feel how much she cares about patients as well as how competent and knowledgeable she is. She deserves a five-star! read more

I had to come here on a Sunday afternoon after a injury that occurred during my kickboxing class. I was in and out fairly fast (less than 1hr!!) even with x-rays. I thought the Dr. Ma was very informative and helpful in explaining what I needed to do for my injury. The only thing that I didn't think was very professional was seeing one of their staff members eating their lunch in her work area. The doctors are fine, the staff cost me two hundred dollars in collections fees. First, I got a bill for $0, then one for $20, then the billing office told me they would resubmit to the insurance company. Months go by with no word from the office. Then, I get two bills for $300 and, thinking that they were still discussing things with the insurance company, which was the last they had told me, I let it sit. Then, with no notification they sent our bill to a collections agency. The staff is lazy, inattentive, unwilling to listen, "call the billing office and the insurance company," was all she said. But when I told her the billing office required HER approval to resubmit to the insurance company she wouldn't listen. Stone deaf! Unethical clowns! The worst ever. As a patient, I called my PCP in February 2021 -Dr. Greco- for an urgent consultation. I was in extreme pain. Dr. Greco treated me like a number and worse. She hang up after 1 minute online with her because I was willing to explain to big picture and save time from the usual protocol of going through the usual questions of : "Weight!" "Medications". That was precisely the reason for my call. She was rogue, exasperate, and it was not the first time she displayed mood swing, and a very out of place authoritarian character. I immediately felt like I was a disturbance. The same day, I wrote a letter to the VA Board and asked the LMG group to consult another doctor. The office manager took a week to call me back and gave me an appointment with a NP (pretty hostile) who had the nerves to tell me "oh! You advocate enough for yourself!" Last visit, on April 16, 2021, I was terminated. Revenge from incompetent and arrogant practitioners who make me a double victim without recourse. I highly recommend to NOT use LMG and particularly Dr. Greco who didn't give me any reason other than "we need trust" to fire me. It is an upside down world at LMG. "Just suffer and be quiet." I like LMG. They're very easy to deal with. Dr. Martin is awesome! They're very flexible with evening/weekend hours, too. When I'm sick, I don't even have to call. I can walk right in and somebody will see me pretty quickly. They can do imaging there, too, which is nice. Nothing worse than a practice that gives you an Rx for an x-ray and you have to run around to more appointments to have it done! read more

Went here a few a times in the past year and felt like I was just another number in their books. The wait time for walk-ins can take 15 minutes or so. The diagnosis can often be wrong, rushed, and uninformative. Dr. Felix Ma just doesn't seem like a professional doctor, his bedside manners were strange, he always made me feel like I am stupid and/or whatever I am experiencing is irrelevant and to just sleep it away. The one thing that I didn't like was I felt very rushed like as if he is volunteering to help me, like come on now, I am paying for your services. Moreover, in the middle of our conversation he would run off to a different room and talk to another patient and its like he is joggling 2 to 3 patients at a time. He also doesn't take time to explain anything or allow you to give your input to how you feel or think. I think his nurses are much more knowledgeable than he is. read more

Doctors who forget to run labs for your regular appointment and make you come back. The office doesn't take appointments for labs and the wait time is horrible. When you ask them how much longer it takes, they act like they're doing you a favor. This is a business and we are the customers but are so often treated like second class citizens. I had to get surgery done and needed to get the pre surgical work up. After been lied to by Patient First (who turned me away after telling me they could over the phone) I called this place. The receptionist said "sure we could do it" so after a short wait I was able to get all the stuff I needed for the surgery. read more

I've only had positive experiences with this group. Generally the wait when you don't have an appointment is less than 30 minutes, which for an urgent care center is pretty solid. Yes, if you go at 5pm during flu season, the wait can be longer, but having waited 2+ hours at a number of other centers, wait times seem reasonable. My only complaint is that if you have an appointment, sometimes it seems the urgent care patients can cause delays with appointment patients. They also have some lab capabilities on site which can save some follow up appointments, and draw other labs rather than sending you to Labcorp. I've also had positive experiences with the doctors and NPs themselves. The nurse practitioner was able to diagnose a condition in 10 minutes that two other physicians had gotten wrong. Dr. Leon is quick and professional - if you like to have long conversations with your doctors he may not be your guy, but I have had good experiences. read more

If I could have given this facility 0 stars, I would have. I saw a Nurse Practitioner by the name of Erin, who wrote me a script for a cough syrup with codeine in it that I took last night and quickly found out I could not tolerate. It made me ill and I was awake until 4:30 am. When I realized this morning that the cough syrup she prescribed wasn't the same one I've been prescribed before, I called the office to see if I could get a new prescription. She would not authorize giving me a new prescription for the cough syrup that agrees with me to give me relief so I could sleep at night. Keep in mind, I'm getting married on Saturday. Unacceptable that she could not understand and prescribe what I've been able to take before. I will not return here. read more

I can not say enough good things about this practice. This is our after hour practice when our normal Dr office is closed or booked. However it has become our go to office for everything. What incredible service, amazing staff, from the nurses to the front desk staff and lastly the doctors. Our favorite nurse is AJ he is outstanding feels like he is part of our family. He is extremely gentle and caring with children. The Doctors are thorough and we love them all. Dr Martin is outstanding. He never wants to just make you feel better he wants to understand what is causing your symptoms and how he can best help you. He never rushes your visit and never makes you feel like he needs to get to his next patient. He is the perfect Dr, yes perfect. We are so fortunate to have Drs. that truly care about their patient's health. We are a family of 5 and visit at least twice a month. Lastly this is one of the only practices that I have found that can do their own X-rays on site...what a plus when you have children that do sports. My son and I recently visited the urgent care because he had a gash in his wrist. My son and I were both upset about the whole incident but immediately after being called back into the room Dr. Martin came in and quickly eased our worries. My son did end up having to get stitches and Dr. Martin was able to stitch him up without my son crying. He walked him through each step and distracted him through the whole process. My family has consulted with this group twice in the last month. On both both occasions, the staff performed at a level far beyond anything I've ever encountered at a walk-in clinic before. The reception desk staff is courteous, welcoming, informative and extremely prompt. The medical assistants did all the preliminaries in a prompt, very personal manner. And both medical doctors we encountered were thorough, professional, very interactive, and well informed. I still maintain a relationship with a family care physician for the truly complex or long term health issues, but for most health matters, the LMG Urgent Care Center offers comparable care that is quick and close by.
