With amber my skin went from not so great, to the worst it has ever been and then some. She told me time and time again that my skin would get better once my skin finished purging, I just had to trust her approach, and I was ready to believe. For four months, I got peels and extractions, and my skin got worse and worse. Rather than change her approach, she insisted that she was doing right. My skin would be tender and red for weeks after her peels, and I was still getting large painful breakouts. The last straw was when I came in with a large cystic lesion on my forehead. I let her dig into it until it became an open bloody wound bed, even though EVERYONE else in the business knows that you never try to extract a cystic lesion. I literally wore a bandaid on my head to keep it from getting infected. After that I went back to a dermatologist, a different one, but someone I felt I could trust.
