They redid my nails and so far the new polish looks better. I still don't feel that the polish was good. I've never had nails chip like that after two days. It was implied that I had been too hard on them. All I'd done was go to a movie and they chipped! I appreciate that they redid the nails. I don't feel like I'd want to come back here though. Having to come in three times in a week was really inconvenient. Nails are expensive and they should last a couple of weeks. read more

I've been coming here for three or four months and aesthetically they always do a pretty good job. Unfortunately when they do a full set or a fill, the nails just popped right off. Googling it says that they're not doing a great job with prep. I had mine on for nine days and three of them fell off easily. I went and got them fixed and they were able to accommodate that at no additional charge. The next day, another one fell off. At this point, I'm unfortunately not going to be returning. Just started going to LN a month or so ago. Started doing the top gel as I had done dip for years prior and my nails are already so much stronger and healthier. I'm quite rough with my nails and typically always break at least 1 nail but I went almost 3.5 weeks before my fill and not a single broken nail! I'll definitely be back. One thing to note is the designs are a bit pricey - I got ombré and chrome and that alone was an additional $30 - that's definitely the most expensive I've seen. We went there around 3pm and there weren't any other customers there. It was nice to be the only ones in there as some salons are so noisy from everyone talking and the phone ringing. They asked if we would like a complimentary beverage. We chose service #3 under Pedicure. Number three is the luxury paraffin and hot stone pedicure. We're happy we chose that service. It felt very relaxing. We definitely are going to become regulars at this salon. I've been coming here for a few months now every time I come I always feel very unwelcome and the vibe is always off in the salon. I kept going there because it was close and convenient, but the last time I went, there was my breaking point. When I walked in, nobody said hi or hello or anything they all just stared at me and it felt very awkward. I told them I made an appointment. And they looked very annoyed when I said that they didn't say anything else and just kept working on their clients. After a while, a lady started doing my nails. She barely even spoke to me and seemed very annoyed the whole time she was doing my nails. The one time she spoke to me was a very snarky comment that me very upset. Not only are the vibes very off the gel x nails only last about four days and even after one day they already start to lift. read more

Overall, one of the most uncomfortable nail appts I've ever had. Came in to get my Gel X set removed and regular polish put on. Firstly, my tech cut my nails down to the nail bed without asking what length I wanted. Obviously not great, but I'm new to the area so maybe that's a standard if you don't specify. Whatever. The tech also seemed to have some difficulties keeping the tools in control as on multiple occasions she slipped and almost cut me when using the nail drill. Anyone that's had this happen knows how anxiety inducing and painful that is, so at this point I'm stressed. The discomfort continued as they had another technician stand over the table to watch the removal of my set (I'm assuming to see how Gel X responded to being soaked/filed off, as it seemed like they had never heard of the product before). Kinda awkward, but okay. After shaping, one hand is rounded while the other is rounded square even after asking for them to be filed to look the same. Then, the tech goes on to apply a base coat and two coats of polish one after the other. No dry time in between. This obviously will never dry and I'm now either stuck waiting forever for them to dry (they never will) or leaving knowing full well I will have to take the polish off once I get home. They sit me down at the fans and this is where it gets even more uncomfortable. My tech puts lotion on her hands, puts them under my hoodie, and starts massaging my neck. I will specify that I never asked for a massage, nor a manicure service that may include this. I wanted a removal and polish, nothing more. I basically froze, not knowing what to do, which essentially meant I sat there while a stranger uncomfortably attempted to give me an unwanted massage. Again, new to the area so maybe this is a norm but please ask someone if they want this before you just do it (with Old Spice lotion at that). They applied another clear coat about 10 minutes later and sent me off soon after that. Obviously the nails were not even close to dry when I left. The only plus side is that the price was very affordable given the going market rate for anything nail related in Seattle and they were at least cordial to me. I believe I paid about $35. Regardless, I will not be returning as I was uncomfortable with the lack of care/understanding around both Gel X and regular polish as well as being generally very uncomfortable the entire time. read more
