I've been coming to Kim for almost three years even thought I don't live in west Seattle anymore. I drive 45 minutes to an hour still to see her because anytime I try somewhere else, I waste money because no one is as good as her. I can show her a photo and it'll turn out exactly like the inspiration. I can't explain it but when you know someone understands your nail shape - it's invaluable. I was looking for somewhere in West Seattle to get my acrylics filled super quick while grandma had baby - and this was one of the closest spots with the best reviews! This salon isn't super fancy, and they've got very limited space for actually doing nails. Since I had an appointment, I didn't have to wait for anything. The woman that did my nails was super fun and personable. She did my nails quickly and perfectly! I loved them! Pro tip: They have the BEST matte polish! Seriously, I've done it at other places and it always chips or doesn't look as good. Here, it's nearly flawless. I have been going to this nail salon since they opened in white center (previous location). They do the best design work I have seen and that says another. Even though I spend a lot of money each time I get a new set I've never felt like I was getting ripped off. These guys are personable and down to earth. I dunno about you but I'm always thinking my technician is talking crap, and maybe it's just cause their speaking a language I don't understand but none the less it's what comes across but not at John's hair&nails. Was just driving around west Seattle and yelped barber + nail shop, I was in the mood to be spontaneous, so a haircut for my husband and nails for me, I can't tell you howwww impressed I am with my husbands haircut! It's so perfect! And with my nails, like wow! My shaping is so good! Tuyen (the older man) is very experienced in his men's cuts. And he razored my husbands face; he is looking GOOD, nice and sharp. I honestly don't know how this place has good reviews. The reviews on here are the reason that prompted me to go here. So there is only one nail tech here that knows how to do acrylics. She's a very sweet lady but doesn't do the best work... At all. So on average, you should get a fill every two weeks or until there is enough nail showing. About one and a half weeks later, the acrylics on half of my nails started separating from my nail... This can cause water to get under and lead to an infection. Such a poor job. Now I can't even go get a fill. I have to take these off and get a whole new set which is such a hassle! They also use cheap top coat that that causes so many tiny ugly bubbles on the nail! I do not recommend this place to anyone read more

I don't know what the nail lady's name was but I came in for a pedicure in the morning and she did a great job. She did it throughly, she cleaned them and then went over them again to make sure she didn't miss anything. And I got a very light nude color almost white and she cleaned around my toes making sure there was no polish on my skin. I believe this is the best pedicure that I had in a while.
