I would give it a 5 but the only issue I ran into was my appointment was scheduled at 11:45, I arrived at 11:15 coming from Shoreline and was told that the 11:45 time slot was double booked and was asked to come back at 1:00. When my service was done I asked to be scheduled for my next fill in 3 weeks but was told To call back a week before I wanted to come in. Other than that, no complaints. I went here and got a shellac manicure, and I'm not sure why she charged me $50... also I still had alot of cuticles on my nails. My nail polished looked nice. Everything else was ehhhhhh. I have been to better Nail Salons. Just wanted to give them a shot. They didn't offer tea, water, or any type of drink or do a hot towel. And so I paid $20 cash and the rest on my card, she seemed a little dissapointed when I was using my card, and Asks Me "You don't have Cash" I said no. I only have $20 cash. So I think this money hungry older lady upcharges me. Not only that, her and the nail technician got into a heated argument in front of me. Unprofessional, and Awkward. Sorry to say, I will not be a returning customer. My hands & cuticles are still dry, it should not be. Just did the Mani yesterday. My cuticles are in bad shape! I will not be coming back!!! I called for a walk-in she told me $50 on the phone for any set. I came with my nails still on. I I asked her if it was gonna be extra she said no I gave her $55 plus another five dollars for a tip so I gave $10 extra. At the end, she pressured me for more of a tip told me the doors were already locked and hounded me for the money that in my purse. I explained that I tried to give her extra earlier, but she want it. She then said that she called the police on me. I gave her more money... never again!!! Unfortunately I had a really bad experience here :( I came in with short natural nails with nothing on them. I wanted a full acrylic set. The nails were too round and there was clearly a space between my nail and the acrylic. You could see from the side they were slanted upwards because they weren't sitting properly. That is a really scary place for bacteria to be and could cause a painful infection. I walked out, got in the car, and went back in to ask for them to be removed. My technician argued with me for a few minutes, telling me there was no space, trying to add more glue to close the hole. I said no and asked for them to be taken off. She began using the electric nail file to carve out my natural nail. It started to hurt, so I once again asked for the nails to be removed. She finally started to take them off. As soon as she cut them, you could see the clear space between my nail and the acrylic. I did not ask for my money back and I'm not trying to hurt their business. But that is dangerous. read more

I went out of my way to try this place out from a tiktok saying it's great bang for your buck. I walked in and picked a color and did not wait too long at all. I got pampered for 2 hours! The mani pedi package with paraffin dip was really affordable! The employees were sweet, you can tell they get along and like their jobs as I came during lunch and they all shared meals with each other until they had appointments. It was a nice environment to relax in. Parking was easy, the place smelled clean and not like chemicals, and you get to look out the window and people watch during your appointment. I really think the pedicure I got was the best of my life. The massage chair and leg massage on top of it had me snoring at some points, so relaxing. I won't lie my feet looked pretty busted when I went in and I left with soft perfectly manicured toes and heels. I could rave forever about it! I added on a manicure at the last second which may explain the quality but it was not as methodical and well done as the feet. I think for the price it was fair, but it was a very very quick manicure, mainly just a trim shape and paint. I arrived and waited ten minutes for her to start working on my cuticles for a gel manicure. After 45 minutes of solely that with intermittent breaks I was told to go to a dirty chair that wasn't prepped for me pedicure. After 90 minutes and two cuts and a toe that couldn't stop bleeding I was then told to walk barefoot back to the chair I started in for a gel manicure to which I endured another cut and shotty work. After 3 hours and one customer coming in during that time I can honestly say this is the worse experience I've had at a nail salon. read more

I have been coming to see Linda for years, and she has moved to multiple locations within West Seattle. She is famous for the disco ball in the middle of the salon They have a great selection of colors and always do an amazing job with my mani/pedis. I bring my daughter with me sometimes and they always make it special for her, letting her sit in the kids chair and giving her candy. There are a lot of nail salons in West Seattle but this one is by far my favorite! read more

I had heard good things about this place online but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. I wasn't finding the specific shade of green I wanted so Linda came over and helped me, the one she picked was lighter than what I wanted but she said it's darker when it's done so I agreed. My appointment was for 6:15, they close at 7. The nail tech's previous appointment ran long so mine wasn't started until 10/15 after my scheduled time which I didn't mind. But the tech did as she was clearly rushing through the entire process and was sloppy. Despite Linda saying the design I wanted would be quick and easy. When she put the nails on 2 of them were obviously crooked. She was able to correct one in the shaping process however the other is still very crooked (see photo). I kept tensing my fingers so the lady asked me to lean back in the chair, it wasn't until after she had painted the first coat on all the nails that I saw it was a very bright and SHINY green not at all like the photo I had shown Linda who picked it out. But at this point it was 6:50 and I knew it wasn't really feasible to have them restart so I just accepted it. I've included the reference photo I showed them here as well. Then the circles I asked the nail tech to draw very sloppy and mostly not circular at all! I'm not a nail tech so maybe decent circles are harder than I thought but it seemed like she just was rushing through this as fast as possible not caring about the quality at all. There was also not paint all the way down on the sides of several nails. The worst part is when I got up to the counter to pay the price was significantly more than what was listed online and on the menu at the shop. I didn't question it because I was simply ready to leave and have this whole experience over with but I did still tip the nail tech for her time. I literally swapped to City Nail Salon after dabbling with different nail establishments in West Seattle. I can tell you that I used to go to NK Nails and found them quite rude and were always quick to get through their clients, turning and burning. l. Also tried Tru Lounge next door and the results were ok, they insisted I do dipping when I had requested acrylic refills. I also went to Tulip Nails once and did not like the outcome at all, which was the tipping point to try out City Nail! I would frequent City Nails because they are friendly, follow COVID protocols, and do a great job. I noticed that some clients noted that staff are rude and to be honest, after coming to get my nails done here so often I realize that usually either joking or sarcasm. Mind you, the staff are not English native speakers so keep this at heart. When I first got my nails done here, I remember Linda commenting on how bad my nails were and asked where I had gone. She's pretty blunt, in all honesty, she's a savage. I actually enjoy that she has no filter and it is always comical to chat with her because she makes the experience that much more fun. A few times I have gone in to get a certain design done that wasn't exactly what I asked for but I know the technician tried her best, but let them know because they are more than likely to fix this problem or have you work with a different employee next time. read more

Eh. I've gone to a lot of nail salons, and now that I can tell the difference between great, mediocre and bad service, I'm less shy to tell other Yelpers that this is not a place you need to go. I stopped in while on vacation because it was on the same street as my friend's apartment; I told her I'd get my nails done while she finished a conference call from home. I ended up being there for almost three hours because the shop manager overbooked her staff. I decided to get a pedicure while I waited for the only technician who could do dip manicures. The actual services I got were pretty good, but the imbalance between staff and appointments and the fact that the manager talked about customers when they decided not to wait things out, was a huge turn-off. If i could give negative stars i would for this place. The owner who i believe is a much much older woman did my wax. Now i asked for a wax of my eye brows and chin. Why she start on my mustache? I didn't ask for that. Then she gets wax in my newly done eye lashes and doesn't tell me she does. She's scrambling trying to get the wax off my lashes. Then she starts plucking my chin hairs.. or at least i thought. When she gave me the mirror, it's like she was plucking nothing.. i had to physically point out to her how many spots she missed on my face. No apology for my lash and terrible job at waxing .
