Had a lovely lunch a week ago here. I had the Seabream oven roasted. It was very good.

La Regina di Napoli sits right on the Porto Santo Stefano and was described as the must have locals spot. The fish is brought directly to the restaurant from the docking fishermen just steps away. This is local Italians only where only Italian is spoken. Not many foreign tourists know about Argentario & we quickly had to brush up on ordering and communicating in Italian to get through (and avoid being exiled as annoying tourists) Speaking of exiled, Caravaggio was exiled to Argentario where he lived out his later years. He had a biggest calzone we have ever seen. It was so delicious! He ate almost the whole thing which says a lot because he usually can't eat that much. I had the homemade spaghetti noodles with prawns. It was also delicious. There was a little kick to it which made it even better. At first, I thought there wasn't enough prawns in the dish but there were some under the pasta!
