Not a good experience for me. Customer service is lacking. Met with Andrew about a year ago, he gave me a quote and still has not done the job!! We scheduled a date, which I then had to reschedule due to my availability and he said he would get back to me. I have left many messages about re-scheduling my tree trimming and he doesn't return my phone calls. I will say he came highly recommended but it's been very disappointing. I think as a business person you should at least return phone calls and let someone know you are unable to or don't want do the work!! read more

I have used Lobel several times in the past 10 years. Lobel Tree service is quick to respond and fair in price.(I called a few as well as Lobel) The gentlemen i spoke to recently at Lobel was very nice and walked me through some of the questions I had about a cord of wood. Lobel was able to deliver quickly, the wood was seasoned as i asked and the pieces were small enough to handle in an indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit. I had reached out to a few places for an estimate and wasnt sold on anyone but our final estimate was from Lobel. The prompt email response from Julia, was a good start for us....and once Andrew came out and took a look and had a chat with us about the plan, we were sold. Julia and Andrew are both very nice people to deal with and the price was right. We had one huge tree, which was like 3 trees in one removed, a smaller sized tree, two stumps ground down and also some pruning of our other trees. There was a small waiting list but that wasn't a deal breaker since it wasn't emergency work. They came out did all the tree work, took about a full day. The next day came back and with stump grinder. After we cleaned up a bit, we found in our yard still some stump not ground out. Reached back out to Julia and she was able to get Andrew back to take a look on a Saturday and he was back at our house on Monday to regrind. Said to reach out if anything else. Ued Lobel today for removal of 3 huge pines. The crew came and set up for job early. After crane and other heavy equip arrived they got right to work. Started at 11am, done by 2pm. Everything was removed and yard cleared of all debris. Andrew the owner and his entire crew very professional. Amazed to watch the operation as they had to lift trees over my house. Terrible experience, gave me an estimate on May 30th to a small pruning job , scheduled for the following week. They never showed up and after repeated calls - received no call backs the 4th call was answered and was told the job would be completed on the following Friday. They NEVER SHOWED UP and they did not call to reschedule and again they did not return any calls left that day. Terrible customer service. read more

Have used Lobel Tree Service twice. Once for a branch hanging on my power line after a heavy snow storm. They were able to come out the next morning and take care of it. The price for that job was about what I expected given the urgent nature. Im guessing there were a million other jobs that they had to do that day, so I was happy that they could do it at any price. The second time I used them was for grinding down about 12 tree stumps of varying size. The price was the cheapest around and they did a great job. The largest stump was about 30" in diameter and a few feet tall. Once the job was done you couldnt even tell the stumps were there. As is standard with stump grinding, all of the chippings were left. The guys also cut all of the stumps down as far as possible to minimize the piles of left to clean up. I would use them again for smaller jobs. For larger jobs I had gotten much cheaper prices from other tree companies. read more

During one of the recent storms, a neighbor had three large trees come down. One directly on their garage, two others fell on our property. Andrew came out the SAME night as the storm to assess our neighbor's property. The very next morning Andrew and his crew were on site to remove the tree from the roof and provide an emergency patch. While his crew was working I asked Andrew if he had a moment to look at two large limbs down on our property. He was able to give me a fair price on the spot and told me as soon as his crew had the time he would be there to finish up our neighbor's trees and take care of our branches. He texted me the evening before and about a week later, once critical jobs slowed down, Andrew and his crew were there first thing in the morning. His crew worked quickly and efficiently to remove all the downed trees and limbs. They went the extra to remove other large branches piled up on our property that were not discussed but made my life much easier this spring. They just left my house after removing a huge White Pine, Japanese Maple, and trimmed a large Chestnut tree that was hanging over my property line from my neighbors yard. They did an incredible job, were courteous, and cleaned up as though nothing happened. This was my first time using them and they were very patient with me asking lots of questions, answering every single one. They were very careful with Chestnut tree, taking off just what was need. I ordered 2 cords of wood and got a break on the 2nd cord. The delivery truck had to navigate through some difficult trees and maneuver carefully to drop the wood without falling on grass and a stone wall. The drop was done masterfully! Not only that, the wood piled up at the top of an inclined driveway vs where others have dropped wood...this saved me a lot of labor. Julia at the office is a great communicator. You can tell she is customer centered, making it a pleasure to work with. When I worked with Lobel, I felt I could trust them and know I am getting good quality hard wood, delivered on time and at a good price. I highly recommend them for wood delivery. read more
