I have been involved with youth sports, including club, for over 25 years. This is by far the worst coach, director, and organization I have ever seen. We tried to work with the coach, tried to be patient, and even escalated to the club Director Tony. Eventually we decided there was zero hope for any accountability or improvement. The only response was "thank you, we will be sure you don't owe us any additional $". Winning is important but if your coaching style and organization make it so that a kid doesn't want to do that sport anymore...that says a LOT. Save your money, go somewhere else. We had an absolutely terrible experience with a coach who clearly has not lead a team before, who would often sit and not coach the team during games if she felt the team was capable of doing better. Find a club with coaches who are more mature than the kids they are coaching.

Centrally located in Bellevue this warehouse sized facility has more than 16 pro tables, special flooring and elite level instruction for this who want to learn starting at any level. They've got league play every Saturday, and monthly memberships or drop in rates. It's a spectacle to witness the skill levels of the players here- fantastic. Ping pong is really fun and I feel fortunate to have this resource right here, though I'm not qualified to entertain most of the players here- they're Downsides- it IS converted warehouse space. It can get hot in the summer or cool in the winter. Rates seem high, but there are few options to compare them to. It's hard to find the first time, they don't have good street signage. Follow the signs to the Kung Fu academy which is next doorish .

Place looks relatively new and clean. Located in the plaza, so plenty of parking. Looks like it's expected of parents to stay with the kids in order to ensure safety and adjust the ball machines as needed. If you have the time, definitely give it a look. They are also offering a first time free trial for you to try out the facility so you have nothing to lose! I believe they also run some lessons/drills with coaches here, might have to inquire with the staff to get more information since it doesn't seem like it's really set in stone yet or on a stable schedule.

The camaraderie and long term friendships I've made both on the field and off can't be described in a review. The league leadership have done a wonderful job to bring the game we loved as kids back to life for us as an adult. Come try out, message me, come watch a game, check out the website, whatever....regardless of age, sex, experience level, or ability....there is a team and a place for everyone. If you love baseball this is THE league for you. We have 9 divisions, each with at least 4-5 teams and recreational, intermediate, and competitive levels of play. I joined the PSSBL in 2018, I finished high school ball and went to a community college. I missed a…read moredeadline to walk on and didn't want to stop playing so I found the PSSBL. I entered the yearly draft and was selected 1st round in the 18+ division advanced skill level. My first year playing wood bat and I did AWFUL. I hit sub .200 and I was clearly outmatched pitching. 2019 and onward I joined the intermediate 18+ division and I've hit right around .300 each year since. In 2023, I started my own team in the PSSBL. Now that I'm a GM of a team and I have a few meetings a year with all the other teams and board members, I can see how efficiently and well run this league is put together as a non-profit league and every penny we pay as players is accounted for. It is the largest men's adult baseball league in Washington State and that's because there are 9 divisions spanning ages 18+ to 60+ and three skill levels over those 9 divisions. In my opinion the league is fantastic and unless I move away, I see myself playing in the league until I'm forced to retire from baseball.

Since then, I passed the building when revisiting some of my training sites on foot. Yesterday and today (Friday 23 February 2024 and Saturday 24 February 2024) I finally made my way inside the building and spectated the 2024 Ken Shannon Invitational (Indoor Tack and Field competition). Parking in the athletics area was available in the E1 lot (open to everyone) and the E18 (open to those with University of Washington permits). The rate for a full day of parking was $7.55 each day. I had no troubles finding a parking space either day. The ticket booth was located across from the main entrance of Dempsey Indoor along the side of the softball field area. Restrooms were along the same stretch as the ticket booth, roughly facing Husky Stadium. The entry fee for each day was $10 for general admission without discount, which I thought was a good deal as events ran for approximately 7 hours on Friday and approximately 4 hours on Saturday. The interior of the facility was well set-up to allow attendees close proximity when viewing contested events. Running events were held on the track at the same time field events were being contested in their designated section of the field. Fencing/barriers guided us spectators to viewing areas to watch the different performers. Bleacher seating was located along the starting area for track events, the triple jump/long jump area, and the pole vault section. Workers were professional and direct in communication. Athletes were tuned in to their surroundings as were the spectators and the coaches. Multiple clocks and screen displays were strategically located towards the ends of the track to communicate results. An announcer provided helpful context for results and music played when not a start of a race.
