Warning!!!! NOT A PART OF GOOGLE!!!!! First and foremost let me explain their sales people (mine was Brain) will say anything to get you to sign up. After you sign up they will not let you out of the agreement unless you pay a termination fee. I spent countless hours on the phone with them week after week, Lies after Lies. Their only Job is to make it so you can't cancel. I am 3 months into this and today I offered to pay them in advance for the rest of my contract and all I wanted was a cancelation number and they wouldn't do it. The reason I believe they will not do this is because after my contract expires they will do everything possible to continue to bill me. Let me explain how this works. Local Lighthouse told me they where a Google Partner and could get me on the first page of Google, Bing and Yahoo within 90days. My rep. Brian said it would actually take a month. He told me a could check the status through www.localparc.com/ He told me his company believed so strong in what they were doing they had an actually agreement that stated they would get me on page one. In the agreement I was asked to pick 3 key phrases when someone types into a search engine (Google) my company would appear. I called my rep Brain back with questions and asked him if the user would have to type in the town or the county into the search engine. EX. Tree Services in Orange Town. Brian told me that was a crazy question, No one would every type in the town or county after the key word. This is a huge lie and the most important thing. ALL THE REPORTS THAT ARE GENERATED ARE BASED ON YOUR KEY WORDS AND IN WHATEVER TOWN and STATE YOU ARE ADVERTISING. To me this isn't SEO its creating a really long domain name that very few people will find. In comparison if you own a Pizza Shop and live in Medford the end user will have to type in Pizza Shop in Medford NJ to find this site verses typing in Pizza Shop. In this comparison key words pizza shop may have 100,000 searches were Pizza Shop in Medford NJ may have less then 100. That's what Local light house is doing. It took Local light house about a month to get www.localparc.com up and running for my account as soon as I saw that my 3 keywords were followed by the words (in, my city and state I contacted Local Light House, again they lied and said in my town, NJ was used so from their location in CA they would have to type in ex. Pizza Shops in Medford, NJ to see where my company rated. Then latter when I called them back they said " in the town and state is part of the keywords. I have asked every time to speak with my rep Brain and have been declined and forced to deal with other reps. I was very polite with them today and the rep I spoke to told me the sales department has misrepresented the company. Then I was transferred to the cancelation company(4th transfer of the day) The manager who I spoke to said I was under contract and there was nothing she could do. I very polite told her that as a business owner if my sales staff lies to get a sale and I find out they are fired and I make it right with my customer that is how respectable businesses operate. The second you lie to your customer about being a Google Partner and make false promises then when customers find out you are lying and try to cancel you use a contract to make it so they can't leave you should find another job. First, sale rep will say that they are Google; Second, he will call you many times with different offers and promises. I was stupid. My mistake to sing up with them. And when you in, it is no way out!!!!! Contract has no cancellation terms. But, if you want to cancel they charge $450.00 termination fee. I didn't see it in your contract, I said. They will send you email by email with congrats that website is in air and ask you to send them email if you would like to make any changes. But all your emails, calls will go nowhere, you will not change anything. Your business will be ruined!!!!. Customer service! This will be your tragedy. You will seat on hold up to 20 min (I am not joking), then girl will pick up the phone ask you: " how can I direct your call?" regardless of the reason of your call, she will say:" I connect you to our service department". I asked her do you have any other departments to connect me to? The answer was - NO. And after that you will be on hold for another 20-30min. If you are patient enough, you will get to alive person, who will say - sorry, I didn't make website for your business and I cannot connect you to the team; Sorry, we cannot take it from the air; Sorry, any change you want to make will take 48 hours (but it will never happened). Sorry, manager is not available now, but she will call in the next 48 hours (never happens).... I hope, you got the picture. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!! I'm shocked at the 5 star reviews for this company because this was hands down the worst experience I've ever had! I don't even know where to begin. First, this company IS NOT a part of GOOGLE, they will not help you with SEO for your website, they will not create a landing page nor do they create a unique website to advertise your business....rather they use a single generic template that looks exactly the same as every other "unique" website they build. In fact, I think my 10 year old niece could do a better job than whatever "team of professional designers" they employ at their poor excuse for a company. You will not see an increase in business and the keywords they choose for you are absolutely useless! Yes, you might get ranked for obscure terms such as "high quality interior design company located in Lacey Washington" but I mean, who in the hell ever types something like that into Google?! I also built a website using WIX, and even with my limited computer skills still came out 100x better than the generic piece of crap website they tried to convince me was designed by a skilled team of designers. I tried calling them about fixing it and they said that it was a free service and so I shouldn't complain. I told them to take it down if it was free cause I didn't want it and they were like "We're sorry but that isn't how this works." So how does this work then?! So these guys called me out of the blue several months ago offering me a spot on the first page of Google yahoo and Bing. It turned out that I wasn't showing up for a salon in my area. I don't usually take calls like this but I knew that I wanted people to find me online since everybody uses Google. I had a ton of questions and got an answer to every single one of them. They spent so much time with me explaining that it wasn't an overnight process, and that if I was patient and gave it a little time I would be showing up for the phrases I wanted my customers to fidn me for. The price wasn't an issue because it doesn't take many customers to make that money back, the only issue i was having was if it would really work. The sales person even showed me an award that they won from google themselves and their better business bureau with an A rating. I'm able to be found on all 3 search engines now and the website they designed for me is great! Before them i had some website that I made on wix and this one blows that one out of the water. They even did the keyword analysis for me to get me the best ones. I know there are hundreds of companies out there that do what Local Lighthouse does, but I couldn't ask for better customer service. It's been about a year since I had the (dis)pleasure of working with this horrible company...which is not even close to being an SEO company. I don't know what kind of deal they made with Yelp, but my previous review has since been removed, and the "Yelp Sort" will post at least one of its very few 5 star reviews at the top for some reason. This was hands down THE WORST BUSINESS I've ever worked with, and for anyone having problems canceling and/or getting a refund from Local Lighthouse...here's a heads up for you: No matter who you talk to, it is never a manager or supervisor - the only people you will ever speak to is a customer service rep, some of them with more authority than others (aka "Managers"). This is the reason why you will be given the text book run around ending up with nothing but a horse voice, elevated blood pressure and a pounding headache. Do NOT give them your business. What was promise was NOT what was delivered! 1. The website they created was terrible and completely different that what I wanted. Asking them to change it was a nightmare....they make a very simple promise very difficult. 2. The most frustrating part was calling to cancel after my 6 month intro period. It literally took me an HOUR to cancel. They keep trying to give you the hard core sales pitch, transfer you to people that are incompetent and rude, then continue to give you the run around ... Google is currently suing Local Lighthouse for misrepresentation, copyright infringement and unethical and illegal marketing practices (robocalling), which have affected the Google brand. The owner, sales reps, employees and anyone involved in this scam should be exploited and punished to the fullest extent of local, state and federal law for what they've been doing. Thankfully, this appears to be happening now. Unfortunately, this company has been defrauding businesses since 2011. The owner, Eric Oakley, claims to have over 12,000 clients. With each client spending (losing) an average of $99 per month....that equates to millions of dollars a month in revenue (assuming a 100% retention rate...which is clearly not the case). Either way, they've made a lot of money...and now they will lose it all. Although there have been and will continue to be many scams, this is one for the history books of online fraud. Local Lighthouse is a FRAUD READ THE REVIEWS 1. They claim to be a Google Partner: NOPE nowhere to be found on Google Partners list and if you look them up while they are on the phone, they hang up. 2. They will Robocall you to death. They called my business & Cell phone (private number on DNC registry) relentlessly for months. When they call you, you can tell them not to call anymore.....but they will anyway. According to the law, once you tell them not to call you anymore it is a $500 fine per call if they continue. 3. If you have a conversation with them RECORD IT!!! put your phone on speaker and record it with your cell phone. If you record their lies and you are crazy enough to give them money at least you will have a way out. It took me filing a complaint with the FCC for them to stop calling me. I signed up with local lighthouse about 8 months ago. I had worked with a couple other seo organizations before giving them a go and got no results. The salesman made promises they didn't keep. That's why when the sales rep told me i would be guaranteed everything in writing i decided to give them a shot. She was really helpful explaining to me the process and that it takes time to get you there. I was able to find myself on the first page within 9 weeks of signing up. I have customers now that tell me they found me on google and the campaign has already more than paid for itself! That's why when she asked me to leave a review i had no problem telling everybody about my experience. I was shocked to see the bad reviews because my experienced has been nothing short of amazing! Wow, some of the reviews here are quite scary. I've signed up with them recently and the salesperson who contacted me was Ilan, he didn't push very hard but explained the type of services they offered, and I decided to give them a shot. Price wise they are pretty cheap. After I signed up, I read the yelp reviews here and was a little worried. I contacted them regarding progress on my business page/profile/social media and each time the rep on the phone was very professional and courteous. They updated me through email and on their progress tracking site. Not so good part: I've sent an email with some questions to a rep named Jordan and he forwarded my email to the right department but didn't reply so I had to call to get an update. I have been using local lighthouse for little over a year now, I love th service. Im ranking on the first page of google as promised. Its really hard to understand why you people leave such terrible reviews with not even mentioning a business you have. Very odd if you ask me. Im a simple plumber who needed a website and needed some more customers. I signed up with local lighthouse and they delievered by 90 days as i was sold. Great service for me because im always on the go and working. When im not working i spend time with my family not update websites, facebooks and so on. One thing i want to high light is they always answer. If you have hired a seo company you can agree that they never answer the phone but with lighthouse the guy that sold me always answers my phone calls which is UNHEARD OF lol. BUYER BEWARE! Don't waste your money or time with them? I wished I knew about their bad reputation and work before I signed up. They set up a cookie cutter, slob job of a website with endless typos, 2 of my head shots on top of each other and inaccurate info in the wrong sections. They gave me a horribly bad website address without my permission and took it live without my permission, way before it was ready to go live! I spend an endless amount of time submitting changes and it is still an embarrassment. After 6 months, they still have not taken my website down, despite my request 5 months ago. I have never received 1 lead or phone call from this website!!! The reports they send out to you about your listings on google obviously are a lie. They are a shady company with no accountability. When I told them to stop calling me (my number is on the do-not-call registry) the scumbag who answered the line when I dialed through first googled me and threatened my children by name, then programmed the robodialer to flood my mobile phone with calls for the next several hours. I'm still getting calls from them months later. This is not even a real business, just a telemarketing sweatshop selling scam business services.
