Michael was transparent about the cost of the equipment, supplies and labor. Not one of the other six companies I received quotes from would do that for me. Each of the other companies quotes were much higher - from $1500 to as much as $7,000 more! Oh yeah, and then there was the most outrageous one . . One of the contractors was hell bent on getting me to sign up to a ten year commitment that would have cost me $234 per month - in other words $28,000 for a 3 ton 2-stage heat pump! They all gave me 'all inclusive' quotes and each had firm opinions - clear product preferences - that they were insistent on pushing on me. None was willing to itemize the costs. Michael was willing to consider and price out a variety of options. I had huge moisture problems in my house that I have been battling for over 7 years. Michael took the time to answer all my questions and concerns - without any personal attachment to a particular outcome of my final decision. His employees were equally as considerate of all my questions. I did a lot of research beforehand, and I feel confident that Michael's prices were fair and reasonable. His crew did a fantastic job, and cleaned up the work site meticulously. They ended up installing a 2-stage, 15.2 SEER electric heat pump - replacing my old 3-ton gas heat pack/furnace during the first week of September 2023. Thanks for everything! Our A/C kept cutting off and triping the breaker. Looked it up and it's a sign of a compressor going bad which causes it to over amp. I called Local Mechanical and was preparing for the expense of a new compressor...ugh! Mike called me and said that the breaker wires were loose and so he tightened them down and that fixed it! What a refreshing experience to encounter a truly honest company. (Unfortunately we all know there are many who would have said it was my compressor.) As a busy local church we need all of our units running in peak condition. sometimes we can wait until the next day to schedule and other times we need it asap.
