I was looking for a reputable plumber for the last three years to have work done on the house I bought three years ago. I put it off. As "luck" would have it I had a leak so I had to look for a plumber LOL I did a Google search and had three estimates. Mike didn't sweet talk me like the second one did and was very confident in his ability to resolve my plumbing problem. He is honest stating in part "I didn't know this [my huge property] was back here." Their ratings are very high 4.9 stars on Google and 5 stars on Yelp. (The minimum number of stars is or should be at least 4.5 stars average minimum on both Google and Yelp reviews.) They go by the name FL Plumber now which includes Pasco County, Pinellas County, and Hillsborough County. After they came out for free estimates, they came out to my main house in New Port Richey on October 27, 2023, November 8, 2023, and January 18, 2024 for a variety of plumbing work. They have been consistent. They also itemize the work on their invoices and leave a hard copy of the invoice for you for your records. Fair, honest, very professional. I feel as though they do not rip me off and they do not look down on me or my neighbors based on the location. (They value their customers.) The original kitchen sink setup existed before Farrell came and did my complete retrofit of all of the plumbing in my home. In typical Florida home fashion, that sink setup was a convoluted mess and would continually leak no matter how often it was tightened. Called Farrell Plumbing to see if they could fix this mess and send Mark over to look at it. Professional and very nice young man, Mark, took one look at it and saw the issue was with the gaskets and showed me why it kept leaking. He additionally looked at the original setup and saw a more workable solution, made the replacement features and shortly I hear the sound of running water with no leaks in sight. Mark's plumbing observation and skills saw a workable solution that also provided more room under the sink. When I requested the invoice, Mark shared that his boss said, this is close to the warranty for the retrofit work so no charge. I was GOBSMACKED. Never expected this. Again, I cannot say enough about the work ethic and skills of this family owned business. Thank you yet again, Farrell Plumbing.

I asked if they could match the other, and Shane made a call and they came back even less than the 1st plumber for both jobs. He did clean work, detailing to me what he was doing and why it was important. I liked that he not only was the one who gave me a quote, but he did the job. On June 8, 2024 we contacted And Services Air Conditioning, Plumbing & Electrical for a free…read moreestimate (as advertised) to repair a leaking shower head. They sent a technician out for a free estimate. Cole Childs arrived. We showed him the shower and explained what had been going on. Without notice, he started taking the faceplate and handle off, which required breaking the grout away from the wall, as if he were to do the repair right away. He then explained that he could not remove the valve that needed to be replaced and that the repair would cost $1600.00 because he would have to go through the wall in the garage, we were stunned. When he saw our reaction, he told us that he has his own business (LAY IT RIGHT RENOVATIONS) and that he could do the job for half of that amount. Because And Services has a good reputation and because Cole Childs is the employee they sent to us, we thought he would do the job correctly. We gave him a $200.00 deposit. He then took out a part from the And Services truck and left it in our garage, stating this was his good faith gesture that he would return the following weekend to fix the valve. We also had to ask him to caulk around the area where the faceplate was because we were concerned that water would get into the wall where there was now a gap. We also covered the area with plastic as he did not fully caulk the area. The weekend arrived, but no Cole. We reached out to him a few times with no response. His wife finally texted us to say that he had been in a motorcycle accident, but that he would be coming the next weekend to do the repair. He came out the following weekend and completed the job. We paid him the balance. We requested an invoice to show the balance was paid in full, but never got it. We told this to an experienced plumber who has been in business for 30 years and he told us that Cole had over charged us by double the amount we should have paid. We contacted Cole and explained what we had been told and he agreed to refund us $300.00. He then strung us along for over a month, even sending us a text telling us that he had put the check in the mail, which never arrived. We then contacted AND Services and spoke to a supervisor named Jackson. He informed us that Cole had been let go and that they were not responsible for what Cole had done, even though he is the technician representing their business.. He also stated that the job should have only cost us $413.00, not the $1600.00 that Cole had originally quoted to us. If Cole Childs is doing business under the name LAY IT RIGHT RENOVATIONS 941-960-5077) it is likely that he is grossly overcharging other people as well.

After over month I knew it was over in regards to getting in contact with him again. I, unfortunately, was scammed but due to the amount, it is now a police/legal matter.
