Had a quick lunch today. We were there out of happy hour so we ordered burger that had onion ring and beef tacos. Nice clean resturant with a lot good looking servers. Dont sit in the front corner as it is very crampy with the 6 person half booth. Service was friendly. Tipping starts at 18%. The salad was quite good. I didnt like the upcharge 1.75 for salad. read more

We stopped by for a late night dinner. We were staying at a nearby hotel and this was literally a one minute walk away. We were seated after a short wait and menus were dropped off. We ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, ahi tuna poke bowl, roti and curry plus a couple drinks. Food arrived surprisingly quickly. We had ordered the roti for our child, but it turned out there were spicy chilli peppers slices with the roti. Our child could not eat it so he ended up eating fries instead from the crispy chicken sandwich plate. The crispy chicken sandwich was amazingly crunchy. Chicken was tender and juicy. It was one of the better chicken sandwiches in recent memory. My poke bowl tasted as expected with a decent amount of toppings. The rice had a bit too much miso mayo sauce. However, I tend to like less sauce in my food. We ordered a pink spritz and bramble on drinks to celebrate our first vacation since COVID. Our server was delightful. She interacted with our toddler and dropped off sharing plates. I did not catch her name, but it may have been Cassidy. A server with long, blonde hair. She definitely knew how to serve a family and made some drink recommendations. It made our stay in Calgary a bit more welcoming. read more

The aesthetic of this restaurant was adorable! Loved the decor and the indoor and outdoor options for seating. The drinks were great & the perogi appetizer was Delicious!! Great experience guaranteed ! Local is doing a ton of things right. To start, the food is delicious. I recommend the perogies or shrimp dumplings as starters and as a main the Korean bowl always hits. Secondly, their patios are great. In the summer you can sit up top and enjoy the sun and beer all afternoon. Or if the weather is average they have a great covered/heated patio downstairs. Lastly, and most important, is that the service is top notch. Every single person on staff is attentive and friendly. I have to give a specific shout out to Alanna though. She has served us multiple times and is the main reason we've had such terrific experiences. Alanna always keeps our glasses full, gives solid recommendations from the menu, and a great sense of humor that keeps us coming back. Keep up the good work! read more

I came back because the beer and Poke bowl were so outstanding. This time I sat solo at the bar. Kiara, on her 1st day no less, took awesome care of me. She was so friendly and attentive. Her shift ended and Sydney took over. Sydney was informative about the specials and attentive as well. He mentioned how great the shrimp dumplings were. He was right. Delicious.The food is awesome here and the service is top notch. Could not recommend this anymore than I already do. Great dining experience all around! read more

My friends and I had a fantastic time last night in this restaurant last night. I was greatly pleased with both the food, which was so very, very good, and the staff who treated us so well and were very attentive! This dinner was an apology from the manager, Sonny, for a very bad experience we all had there in September.I so appreciate what was done to make this better, and i thank everyone all ! We decided to come in for dinner as we were staying next door at the Sheraton Eau Claire. First off, it is an adorable restaurant and I love the building it's in. Much warmer than other Locals I've been to. It was a beautiful spring day so the patio was open with heating lamps which was a plus. We came in with our children and were very armoured welcomed. Our server was patient, cheerful and attentive. Food was delicious. My kids enjoyed their chicken tenders and fries (the fries are GREAT). My husband and I shared the LPE Salad with Chicken and Nachos. The salad was excellent. The kind of salad that you can't eat enough of-it had crispy greens, grapes, cherry tomatoes, slivers of smoked cheddar, juicy chicken and a dressing I could drink. Nachos were good and not typical. Sauce and sour cream was drizzled across the top and each chips, even the ones toward the bottom were perfectly covered. Drinks were of course great and I love all the beer on tap. I had a delicious dark beer with notes of coffee. A wonderful meal and experience. read more

I met some friends there on Sat, Sept 4. They had ordered drinks and nachos I was not super hungry nor wanting a drink, but the waitress, NIcole L, did not seem to understand no. When I said just water, she started asking what do i like to drink, pushed a menu at me and said to take a look, can she suggest something. I said no, just water. She came back with a friends drink and asked again I said i was fine with water. I found her super pushy, aggressive and it just struck a nerve that she seemed to want to make an issue of me not drinking. What if i had an alcohol problem? This kind of aggressive push of drinks put me off and i will not recommend this place. It is too bad because the place looked nice and the rooftop patio was nice, but she ruined it all by being overly pushy. read more
