Service is mediocre although the lady who helped me this morning made up for it with her attentiveness and smile. Friendly service makes a world of a difference! Ambiance is very modern&nice with a lot of seating. Some menu items offered 24 hrs. Also, nice selection of popular Indian dishes.

Do not be surprised that I'm giving it 5-stars for the first review. Absolutely delicious. When we entered it was quite noisy as a conference group was just finishing up but before we knew it they had left and it was quiet. Like most restaurants in the UK these days the wait-staff is mostly foreign and although they might have a little trouble understanding you, patience is due; they are friendly and absolutely fabulous at what they do. The menu is nice with a good range of options. They gave us a selection of breads to start, all excellent (I was hungry so I tried them all) and our appetizers followed shortly. To start I had the scallops, moist, a good size and lovely. For my main meal I had the "Pork 2-ways". Which was really Pork 4 ways. It included medallions of tenderloin, pork belly, bacon and crackling over a bed of pasta (check out the picture I uploaded). Delicious, very filling to the point that if you ever have a last pork meal ever, this should be it. It is on the pricier side but this restaurant isn't pretending to be pricey like some might do. Give it a try if you want a nice meal out. Bonus: clean bathrooms are always a plus.

The table was attractively set and the drinks were ordered. Then the starters arrived and they were superb. I had the smoked salmon with beetroot salad. It was generous and so tasty, it was faultless. Then we were served the main courses. The staff regularly checked into see if drinks or anything else was required in a friendly and efficient manner. The turkey dinners were again, generous, well cooked, neatly presented and were absolutely delicious. Our table was in a quiet corner so we could chat, at low volume, and enjoy each other's conversations and news, perfectly well. The service was excellent, well timed and friendly. We paid the bill in one total and it was excellent value. THANKS for a great start to our celebrations.

Absolutely no problems with the beer but my girlfriend & I have decided not to have a Sunday Roast there again. Under cooked potatoes the 1st time, sort of OK the 2nd & missing parsnips on our last visit just before Christmas 2010. So why would we return? Simple, it's a place to end a really nice walk out the back of Tecos, past Lucas Hospital, past Ludgrove School, through Grays Farm to Heathland's Rd opposite Holme Grange Arts & Crafts Centre then to this pub.
