Had a front door handle / lock set for wrought iron front door that would no longer function correctly. I called and spoke to Randy and Rick - described what was happening. Rick said "probably just the latch - if you can take apart and bring to shop, we have replacements". Took the assembly apart, took the latch to the shop. I stopped by last Friday as a drive-by to see if I could get a couple of keys made for a discontinued motorcycle and a set of off brand saddle bags. Rick, the owner welcomed me and cut the two blanks I had for my ignition and checked to see if they worked, then he spent about 20 minutes matching the two off-brand saddlebag keys - that ended up working perfectly. All of these keys were double sided and he made sure that they not only functioned, but functioned excellently. Best news at the end, total price for four custom hand cut keys - $10.00. Worst and most racist business ever!!!! Every time I go in there I feel as if the gentleman "helping" me has such a condescending and mean look on his face. I really feel racially profiled. Today I went there to make a purchase for my business and was as polite as I could be. Didn't negotiate the price, wasn't rude, was paying him in cash. I've made previous purchases for my business from here and they harass me each time asking for my tax id info. I have provided them with it multiple times but they still "can't find it in their system" Whenever I am there. so all I asked the person to do was hold my purchase until I go to my business and bring him the tax id info so I don't pat tax twice and this guy just flips out on ME. Starts being really disrespectful and tells me he doesn't need my business and to leave the premises immediately. I have been using Lock Doctor/A-1 for years. I recently had a deadbolt break and needed a tune-up on another one. They sent a technician out right away. He was professional, knowledgeable, and explained the problems to me so I could understand. My doors were sticking a bit which also caused problems with the locks. SOOOOO impressed!! My husband has a gun safe, and one of the keys was lost. We tried all the regular routes for duplicating the only remaining key...Home Depot, Loews, Ace Hardware, etc., even contacted the manufacturer of the gun safe, all with no luck. We ran across the Lock Doctor, explained our issue, and they bent over backwards to help us. First tried to duplicate the key -- at no charge, since they weren't sure it would work. It didn't. They then took all our information. Within two weeks they were able to get TWO BRAND NEW KEYS for us! They had to contact the original manufacturer, sign affidavits, get documents notarized, make multiple phone calls and send emails, but they were successful!
