We recently purchased the vehicle used, so was unaware of the condition on the break pads. I scheduled an appointment with Rainey's automotive and dropped off the vehicle the next day. Promptly, the mechanic personally called me, and told me that my breaks were not bad, they were about 1/2 life left, but the rotors looked like they had surface damage from being too hot. He resurfaced the rotors, and it took care of the problem. The mechanic could have lied, and told me the breaks were bad, and made more money, but was honest. Honesty and integrity go a long way in my book. I will be back! It's great to have a mechanic that you can trust! It's one of the advantages of our small town :). Definitely an asset to Lenoir! I've had more than one negative experience with the guy who "manages" this location. I purposely avoid this car wash anytime I see a gold SUV out front. Today was the last straw. I arrived early this morning before the summer heat set in. I was there for 10 minutes when "management" pulled up. I was taking my time getting the dust, dirt, and grime out of my middle console, steering wheel and dash. I was parked next to one of the vacuums. Every single vacuum was open!! This guy had the nerve to tell me "If you're not going to use the vacuum you need to leave" I nicely explained that I planned to once I finished cleaning. Then he said and I quote "the owner won't let non paying customers just sit here". What this rude individual doesn't know is that I spent over $20 there yesterday and I planned on spending more today. I got my stuff together and drove to the Ultimate Car Wash on 421. Detailed my car for 30 minutes. No one said a word and they happily accepted my money without anyone hovering over me! ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT SPEND ANOTHER DIME AT THIS LOCATION UNTIL CURRENT MANAGEMENT IS GONE! If that ever happens I'll gladly give this place another shot and a fair review.
