Purchased an LG Steam Closet. Asked multiple times if everything worked correctly, was told it did, and that if there were any issues it would be covered under warranty. Everything was great until delivery.
I signed off on delivery, and as he's leaving he tells me that the door panel (which is the primary method of operating the machine), only operates with the door nearly all the way open, making it very frustrating to operate. It's also likely indicative of a pinched or damaged wire, which can be dangerous.
While I didn't love that he dropped that after I signed the delivery form, I didn't think it would be an issue because the 30 day store warranty is supposed to cover parts and labor (with a deductible, which is fine). They're now refusing to repair it and saying that my only option is to bring it back up there myself (mind you, it's large and I had paid a decent amount for delivery) and receiving store credit, which is useless.
Also, be aware that the 30 day warranty they advertise is pretty much useless unless the appliance is dead on arrival. On the phone, James said almost verbatim "If we went out of our way to fix every minor issue on scratch and dent items, we wouldn't make any money" -- I've bought plenty of scratch and dent items. They all have functioned properly (or if they weren't properly functioning, they disclosed it prior to purchase/delivery). This also isn't minor -- it's literally significantly affecting the primary mode of operation of the device.
Ultimately the worst scratch and dent experience I've had out of dozens and very frustrating. I don't mind cosmetic damage, but failing to disclose that the primary touch panel on an appliance doesn't work correctly and then not standing behind your own warranty is borderline fraudulent. read more
