My experience was very different from that of many of those posting here--I was delighted with the service. In brief, the deadbolt on my entry door had failed. I immediately purchased a new lock, and then discovered that the original (1960s vintage) lock was a 1/2 inch smaller than modern locks, and the new lock wouldn't fit. I next purchased a new door and discovered that installing that would be more complicated than I'd expected and, more importantly, that it would take days before I could get an estimate for installation and probably weeks before an installer could go to work. In despair, I called Call4Keys at 8:30 that evening, hoping they could repair the old lock. (I hadn't known locksmiths can also bore through doors.) By noon the next day two cheerful locksmiths were working on my entry door, reshaping the holes in the door, supplying and installing two locks (a double-cylinder deadbolt and a keyed knob lock), and making four extra keys (6 total, then), all for what to me was a more than reasonable price. The job wasn't an emergency, but their coming so quickly to restore the peace of mind a deadbolt provides was a big plus. The whole job was done in a hour. read more
