This was my 1st time visiting Loco's! I ordered togo. The togo person was very nice & friendly. The pub had a lively but calm atmosphere. I got their Sriracha Shrimp tacos with Cajun fries as my side. The shrimp tacos were very good, some of the best tacos I've ever had. The fries were decent - definitely seasoned well. Foods ok sometimes. been eating here for years about 10 have gotten many food items that were good and bad for awhile it was bad. everything was kinda burnt or tasted bad so we took a lot of time away from it dident eat there for about a year. first time back in there my wife gets a burnt burger that was heavily charred because they pressed it into the grill hard (you can tell from the patty) the taste was very charred tasting. while we were looking at it the waitress came and asked if everything is good and so we decided to mention it. she went and got the manager which is the cook which probably is not a good combo to have your cook be the same guy that talks to customers about the food because you know pride and all. anyway he comes out kinda a smart guy talking about the char is what happens when you order well done kinda talking to me and my wife like we're dummies or something which btw if you cook it right it does not charr to the level it did even on a grill I've made plenty on a grill that were perfect. then when he brings the burger out he asked if it looks burnt like a smart guy again which kinda ruined my day a little cause it was not a big deal to either of us at all. we just dident want the burger to taste like crap every single bite. so there you have it after a decade of this place my conclusion is if your considering locos it's just ok but if you want something good or great especially around here just make it at home. which I might dabble and go out here and there but for sure this place is on not worth ever coming back to list now read more

Last weekend I was craving a spicy chicken Sandwhich and was in the area. I walk in and get a table for two with my boyfriend near the kitchen. Mind you I have been here before and didn't have an issue, but this time was different. I put in my order with this nice young lady and got my drink in an orderly manner. One of the best restaurants in the area especially for burgers! Highly recommend the Bayou burger and the Cajun fries. We also tried the chips and queso which were pretty good. I visit my dad in Albany every weekend so we order from locos at least once a month. The food is great so it was no big deal to me if something minor was wrong with the order. One time the problem was a little more than minor so I called later to tell them about it and let them know I wouldn't stop eating here just wanted them to be aware to check callins a little more thoroughly. Each and every time the service was absolutely terrible, the white staff was rude. They did not serve my table for at least an hour and our food took about 2 hours to arrive. We started with the "Mini Nachos" added chicken, steak and black beans.... the portion size was great for two people could have been good for 3 as an appetizer (the queso on the nachos made the whole thing for us). When we were ready to the waiter only brought me a to go drink and didn't even ask my girlfriend if she would like one. I have been to this restaurant several times. While the food is always good, the atmosphere is not always welcoming.My most recent visit, was the least pleasant experience. I will never come back to this establishment again. I am an African American woman and I have never felt as uncomfortable as I did on my most recent visit. I was with a party and the bartender refused to serve me an alcoholic beverage and told me I had to order through my server. This was after she took my order and checked my id. She kept giving the group that I was with(all African Americans) looks, had a conversation about us, then proceeded to walk over and tell us she wouldn't be providing us drinks and to order through the server.
