Greatly enjoyed this solid spot in Downtown Albany. I commend their establishment. The Singfield family has a great thing going here! We really enjoyed the ambiance and service. The food we got was solid. We were able to try a wide variety of menu items: the ribeye, fried catfish, fries, asparagus, mac n cheese, Caesar salad, pecan pie, and cookie skillet dessert. They were all great, but we have some favs we'd get again. Even though they're a "seafood place" we preferred the Ribeye! Tasty, tasty flavor and VERY generous portion. All of the sides were excellent. No notes. Then in terms of dessert, u strongly recommend the cookie skillet over the pecan pie. Sadly, we didn't care for the pecan dessert at all. Really cool place. The inside was huge. Lots of tables and lots of room. The young lady took me to my table was very nice. I was placed in a booth that could fit a family of 5. I was by myself. The table was very sticky. It was "clean" and it was off putting. Had almost like a film on it Jordon arrived at the table not long after. She bright my Pepsi and took my order. Than I didn't see her for a while. My drink was empty for at least ten minutes. She brought my food and was walking away before I asked for a refill she wasn't very attentive. She may have had other tables, but I didn't see any. Burger and fries were delivered. Not sure if my food was waiting in the window for a bit but it didn't taste super fresh. Fries were fine at best and the burger was decent. Absolutely not worth $25. It was a $25 meal that was worth about $15 bucks. Had big hopes for this place. Left disappointed. Visited here on our first trip to Albany for a wedding. It was within walking distance from our hotel and we were really hungry after a 3 hour drive from Atlanta. The staff was very nice and our waiter was very friendly, nice and accommodating. Seemed to be a pretty popular place to have some food or also celebrate. The food was delicious and as this would be the only time we would be here we tried as much as we could: the ribeye, oxtails, cornbread, and mac n cheese. All very tasty and well seasoned. Also, they had Sir Davis whiskey that has been pretty hard to find in our state of Arizona. Overall great place and would come back again! read more

Thank you for a perfect night out with the family! The food was amazing! We got green fried tomatoes & chicken wings for appetizers. My son & I got the same thing as we got last time- lamb chops, gouda cheese grits, & grilled asparagus, so delicious! My husband loved his cat fish too! I came here with my boss while on a work trip recently. I had the flint burger and a side salad. The burger tasted great. I'm giving 3 stars because the ambiance was.... interesting to say the least and because the service was a bit lackluster (but not bad). The interior of this restaurant is certainly having an identity crisis. The foyer (the small room in between the front doors and the rest of the place) had a single canvas next to the doors and all it had on it was the outline of lips -. I suddenly became very unsure about what kind of establishment we were walking into LOL. The jazz music and low lighting didn't help. Luckily, the place was a regular restaurant. Didn't want to be caught picking an inappropriate spot for a work dinner. Once we got inside you could see the decor was a hodgepodge of what seemed like very random items put together lol. Large animal antlers on one wall, paintings of native Americans I think on another. Plus most of the main seating came in the form of horseshoe booths. It was like if a night club, a lounge, and a barbecue steakhouse had a baby. The vibes were incredibly off putting in here lol. I had to sit side by side with my boss at a huge round booth, to eat dinner. Also, the place was almost completely empty. So we spent dinner looking at a bunch of empty tables. It was super quiet minus the jazz music. Service was okay but nothing special. No major issues. My most important note: this restaurant should be visited for romantic purposes only, lol. What an amazing find! Out on a date night in Albany and tried The Flint out and we were blown away! I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye medium rare which truly rivaled a lot of great high dollar steaks I have ever had. I had a salad with ranch and baked Mac n cheese as sides and they were both excellent. The lady ordered Fried Catfish which she also loved. The sweet tea was fantastic and was plenty sweet for the true sweet tea lovers of the world! Service was excellent! I have to visit Albany for work once per month. This is now my restaurant for dinner every time I go now! I sat at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He made an excellent sidecar martini, too! For dinner I had a side salad, stuffed flounder, and asparagus. ALL of the food was delicious! Very flavorful! Looking forward to dinner here, again. Great food!!! Not big on entrees at restaurants usually, so I got the appetizer "E" wings and a side salad with their house vinaigrette. Both super yummy!!! The dressing for the salad had a very bright flavor albeit just a little salty. I wasn't super hungry, so this well portioned salad honestly would've been enough, but I also ordered the "E" wings which were delicious. I don't know what the E sauce is but it was good - no spice at all, more of a sweeter taste if you're into that. We did wait a very long time between ordering our drinks and receiving them, same for the food, but I understand things happen. The music was the right volume and the waitresses all had cheerful attitudes which was appreciated amongst our large group. Others in the group ordered burgers, oxtails, and the roasted chicken, and everything looked fantastic. If I'm in town again, I will definitely revisit and try something else on the menu! read more

Beautiful atmosphere with old charm meets new decor. Service was quick and attentive. The food was pretty good. A little under seasoned but still good. My husband got the grilled peach glazed pork chop with baked potato and salad. You could definitely taste the grilled flavor, could use more seasoning though. The peaches were a nice complement. I got the chicken Alfredo. I do not prefer penne pasta, however the sauce was a good consistency but could use more flavor. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the toast points were a nice touch. We're from out of town and discovered this gem while looking around the area we were visiting. Been there a few times since for dinner, which is always delicious. We happened to be in town for their first Saturday of the month brunch, and let me tell you, it is not to be missed. Everything is outstanding! Cooked to perfection. Not my first go round...and won't be my last! Stopped by to catch some taco Tuesday action and not bad, not bad! They offer chicken, beef, shrimp, and gator. I opted for 1 shrimp....yum! Super tasty also tried the gator...not bad. Definitely prefer the shrimp, cooked to perfection! And they kept the toppings simple! But I like it spicy so I added Tabasco! Atmosphere, vibe, food, service. It is all here, tucked away in downtown Albany. The menu may seem small, but the offerings make up for it with a powerhouse of flavor. Some of the appetizers are Ox Tails and Alligator Bites. This California girl was admittedly apprehensive-until I mustered the courage to try both. The Ox Tails reminded me of Braised Short Ribs, tender, juicy and ohhh so delicious. The deep fried Gator Bites had a perfect, fluffy, light breading and were accompanied by a zippy, creamy dipping sauce. The main courses though...A huge Red Snapper with a light breading and a sauce. I'm not sure who won between the flavor and the presentation. I thought Lamb Chops and Horseradish Sauce would be an odd combination, I was pleasantly surprised by how well they work together. They were stunning. The Rib Eye...There are not enough adjectives to describe this beast of such an incredibly well prepared slab of heaven on a plate...Seasoned with a special blend close to the chef's heart (as he told me) then char grilled to a perfect medium rare. Live entertainment, by Ray. An insanely talented crooner with such a soulful and soothing demeanor. The owners were on site and visited our table a few times and were sweet and wonderful. They were genuinely humbled by our compliments. Our server made us feel as though we were the only guests she had. She was so wonderful and attentive to our needs. We had a chance to meet the chef as we were strolling down to the river walk so we made reservations for later that evening. The atmosphere was so nice inside. Mixed crowd, families celebrating, everyone dressed appropriately, plenty of travelers like ourselves who decided to stop in for GOOD food. They did not disappoint us! The portion sizes are very generous. The oxtails were seasoned well. I don't eat catfish, but it was delicious. The staff and owners were very hospitable. First visit love the atmosphere. Great location and good vibe. Music was old school loved it Hostess could be more pleasant. She seemed to not want to be at work. We got there right when they opened at 4:30 on. Saturday. Drinks were amazing . Had a sangria it is not on the menu. Bartender even came over to see how the drinks were ..LOVED THAT. Staff was awesome friendly. Someone came by at least every 5 minutes and asked how things were going . Our waitress seemed timid and unconfident. She was good but probably will be much better once she gets more experience she had great food and drink recommendations though so she gets a thumbs up very sweet young lady. The owners even came by several times and chatted us up. They are a very sweet couple. Made our first visit feel Like home. My date and i were both from Out of town but plan to visit here again real Soon. We had stuffed flounder with sweet potato and broccoli. The potato came with a brown sugar butter. Yummy. The sauce for the flounder was so yummy i had to take my bread to soak up the rest of it.. We also had a ribeye ordered it medium came out perfect the seasoning was subtle but right on point . Had the peach cheesecake tasted like peach cobbler yummy. Only complaint it appeared to have been frozen and not defrosted enough. Felt like I was trying to cut a hard stick of butter.
