My Cataract surgery went well, but the issues were with the billing. They charged me for the full price up front, then submitted a claim from my insurance and will be keeping that payment also. Which was not reflected in my initial quote. I had major Hernia surgery last year and the bill for my Cataract surgery was over 3x my out of pocket expense. I will have to find another doctor to do my other eye. Buyer be ware! read more

Everyone at both the Gallatin and Goodlettsville locations are very kind and polite. I was impressed with their procedures to mitigate Covid. I felt very comfortable being there. The eye examines I received were more through than any I've had in the past. They listened to me and asked questions, until they understood my issues. I was then sent to a specialist in their group, appointment the next day! I was just as impressed and felt at ease with the knowledge and care of the specialist. They didn't give up until they diagnosed my problem. After 3 years with another doctor telling me it was just my age and get use to it. I'm very thankful to everyone at Loden! Wow! I had lasik by Dr Loden about 20+ years ago and had perfect vision until recently, so I needed to start going back for exams (normal - lasik isn't forever). I went to a different eye doctor for a few years and just not thrilled with the level of knowledge and care. Finally decided to explore other doctors and was pleased to learn that Dr Loden now had clinics for routine eye exams or specialty issues such as concerns about detached retina, etc. So I booked an appointment to see if this worked for me. First impression was how clean the clinic was (Gallatin) and the layout was spacious and comfortable. The receptionists were so friendly with the greatest smiles! So welcoming! We spent a good time just chatting about life in general. Checked me in and I waited a short time for the nurse/tech to call me back and still all smiles. I already had a great impression. The nurse/tech went through everything that would happen missing no details. If I asked questions she couldn't (or shouldn't answer), she politely mentioned to ask the doctor when he came in. I respected that! The doctor came in (Dr Parker) and he was warm, welcoming, professional, had a kind smile and very friendly. Extremely knowledgeable and I immediately knew this was my new doctor and my new clinic. Shook my hand again on the way out and then I met with the tech at the glasses/contacts section. She was so incredibly kind and helpful. Went above and beyond and educated me on contacts after lasik and was even kind enough to let me try a few pair so I could find the right pair. No questions asked. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this clinic, the staff and everyone I had an encounter with. I highly recommend Loden vision centers if you are looking for a reputable eye doctor. Dr Parker and his staff are fantastic. Thank you to everyone there. Recently came to this location for a follow up appointment on my PRK surgery with Dr Mills. I was impressed by how nice the building was and glad I didn't have to drive to Nashville. I'm still 20/20 after 4 years. I'm glad they have multiple locations as it makes it easy to make a convenient appointment. read more

I called that morning and was told teenagers could be seen as walk in's until 10.30, so we arrived around 10.10. There was a sweet older gentleman that was talking to the lady behind the desk, he has a gazillion questions (his right as a customer), but I needed to be checked in by 10.30! She had me take seat until he left which put us 4 mins before 10.30, which is when she said "they are about to break for lunch". Ugh! I thought, here we go again...(we had recently experience HORRIBLE service at Vision Works in Cool Springs mall). This is the reason for the star deduction. But she immediately redeemed herself (in my eyes) when she started to actually check me in, she had to call VW to get them to release an authorization they were losing against me and my son. They (VW) couldn't even find it! Insane! So she had to call someone else (I believe VSP, our insurance to get it done). My son was the tested, brought out to choose glasses where another rock star helped us narrow down since both me and my kid are so indecisive. The glasses came back in less than a week! The doctor and her Assistant (don't know exact titles) were also very kind and welcoming. I'm glad we found this place and I'm sure we'll be back in a year to choose more glasses. read more

I had an appointment this morning, however, I get there and the lady at the front desk treated me like I was nothing. She judged my appearance and wanted to make sure I had money to pay for all additional services that Blue Cross Blue Shield would not pay, for a diabetic eye exam. She harassed me so about money I told her, that's OK, I go back to VisionWorks (not really wanting to). She's a Caucasian, black wavy hair with glasses. Please avoid this front desk person for she will ruin your morning. I gave all the information that my insurance co. gave to me. Dr. Evans and the staff at Loden were wonderful. I was immediately impressed with how nice the facility was and the newer equipment they were using. I had almost no wait before I was taken into an exam room. Dr. Evans made me feel very comfortable, explained all of the optometry terminology that I didn't understand, and truly took her time making sure I understood the best way to take care of my eyes. I highly recommend the Gallatin location to anyone searching for a comfortable, quick eye exam. They will not disappoint! read more

I was sent there for a second opinion on previous eye surgery. The first visit they seemed to know what they were doing. The problem, on my three month check up the doctor went off on a totally different avenue, did not even read notes or know why I was back. In the beginning Loden was great, but in my opinion they have grown to be too big and lost their touch,. Also, they tried to bill me three times for a service that was covered by insurance. I had to keep calling every time I received a bill. Do no recommend them. read more
