Smallish liquor & convenience store in Mancos proper. I pulled out for diesel at the adjacent Conoco, I noticed the small store across the road. I ran in to grab a six or of something local, and found a blonde ale made in Durango. Price was about what you would expect from a liquor store, and the fellow behind the counter favored efficiency over conversation. That's OK, I left the pump running. A cursory look around the place shows that they have all the usual stuff you'd find in a liquor store, with plenty of mind-numbing on the shelf behind the counter. Nice employees and a wide range of products for such a small town. Easy access and lots of parking.

My family has a cabin in Mancos and we have been visiting town since 2005. The past few years, we have used Log Cabin Liquor exclusively. We were in town a few weeks ago and were trying to load up on some Ska brews, and asked the man working the front for as many cases as we could get a hold of! He returned to the front with one case of Mexican Logger. My husband asked nicely "Is that all that you have?" and the man replied "That is all you are going to get"... very snarkily. (I will add that we were very polite and friendly this whole trip and even offered to help carry cases from the back, if he needed, since the man was a little older.) I was shocked at the rude response and the fact that he would refuse to sell us any more than four six-packs. We went across the street to Mancos Liquor where the young man working was more than happy to help us out and was MUCH more friendly! I gave this store 3 stars because we have had good experiences in the past but I am sad to say that we will not be returning to Log Cabin Liquor during our vacations. We will be directing all of our friends and family to Mancos Liquor instead! read more
