But honestly, this place is TRASH as a movie theater. The screens are uniformly way too dark. Go see a vivid superhero movie and it looks like it was shot through a dark scrim. That's OK, though. The sound will deafen you even as you see nothing but a dark grey muddle. The cheapness extends to the amenities. They use nasty-ass bottom-of-the-barrel liquid soap in their bathrooms. Have a slash, wash your hands, continue eating your popcorn and congrats -- you now get to eat soap-flavored popcorn. The horrific synthetic small of this pink industrial slime will not leave your fingers for DAYS. Were you hoping that a neighborhood movie theater would have staff on hand to control the feral moviegoers talking on their phones and causing a ruckus during your film's climax? Haha, good luck with that. The AMC a mile away on Western is one of the worst places I have ever seen a movie. What frustrates me about the Logan is that it COULD be GREAT ... but simply isn't. All because they're cheap about their projection equipment and basic amenities.

This area is where their HQ was and where most of them congregated in the same way NY's mafia hung out in Bensonhurst instead of Manhattan. The area has a lot of vintage architecture and history, despite being a little more run down and 'authentic' than the more touristy downtown. I went on a Friday around 3:30 p.m. Already, the back seating area was full of people, however there were a few bar seats left in the front. An hour later, it was packed. They start charging a $20 (cash only) cover at 7 p.m. for the live band. Before that was a jazz organist, who was pretty good and a master at working the crowd. They have draft beer ($6 - $10) ... bottled beer ... and booze. My Old Fashioned was made with muddled orange and cherries and only cost $12. A gin and tonic was $9. It can be tough to get a drink because the one bartender works the entire bar. Nice guy though. Don't come here expecting anything other than a dive bar ... there is nothing modern about this place. However, it has one of the best vintage vibes I've honestly ever encountered in a jazz bar. Don't miss out on seeing this bar and hearing some music, even if it means having to Uber or drive. It will be worth the trip. There aren't many places around like this anymore.

At the end of the evening, the three went around thanking us for attending, making sure they met each of us, and gave off a fantastic vibe. I've never been to the studio and I don't have any clue about the classes they teach…read more But once a week I get a video from my 2 year olds daycare class where Helen is leading the class in interactive singing and dancing. It is the highlight of my workday when I get that video! Watching the joy and pleasure he gets from clapping, stomping and following her cues warms my heart. When he first started at daycare he was a bit shy and reserved and would often just stare at Helen not really participating. But now he's blossomed into a dancing & singing machine. Helen's warm, engaging and supporting spirit have helped him build his confidence and allowed personality his personality to shine! Seeing his development in the last 2-3 months has been amazing and fun. And I attribute a lot of that development to music class with Ms Helen. Now if only she could teach Mommy and Daddy some rhythm so we could keep up with him!
