I ordered a plant from them a couple of months ago. The plant arrived healthy, but it took a loooong time to get here. I understand the nursery cannot ship in very cold temps, which is what their customer service indicated when I reached out regarding the long delay. it was irritating that customer service would tell me each week that my plant would ship at the end of that week, then the following week, they would tell me the same thing. Finally the plant arrived and is healthy. I ordered a second plant recently, and even with much warmer temperatures that don't interfere with shipping, the order is taking weeks to get here. Just received my order and was so impressed by how well the 3 plants were packaged to keep them protected during shipping. All 3 were much larger than I expected! I ordered 4" pots and 2 of the 3 were at least 12" tall. The other is a shorter plant but very full and healthy. I'm used to receiving little sprouts from the other places I've used. I absolutely love coming to Logee's, and it's like therapy away from therapy for me. I've recently become a houseplant parent and plan to start a garden next year, and this is my favorite place to come to for new and interesting plants you wouldn't find anywhere else. Well they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. They are a very famous nursery. I bought the book essence of eden by Tova Martin. Excellent book. I ordered rare Iochrama from them on 9/19/2025 )standard shipping 1 to 5 business days .the order has not even shipped yet. The plants will be tiny because they are 4" pots. Logees is our Favorite nursery. We are a few hours away but it is worth the trip. We have had purchased lemon, orange and lime trees from them over the years. Some are now huge and productive. We came for rare plant day. This was an unorganized event with waaaaay to many people. We waited over 2 hours to see the rare plant room that consisted of overpriced Thai cuttings, monsteras, and a few other things. The variety of rare items was not there like I thought it would be. The sign also says "rare plant day show and sale". No sales on the rare plants- in fact, I heard a guy say he was there last week and the prices were cheaper. I'd rather have gone over to Jordan's jungle in RI. Kinda bummed since we made a long drive to be here. They should make a list of what "rare" plants they have for this event so people can decide if they want to wait or not. I bought a plant but only bc I waited for it. I will not return to this event. So much hype for so much disappointment. I was so excited to finally make it here. This event put a bad taste in my mouth for this store. I won't be back. I did an online order from Logee's, and I just gotta say, wow. I'm seriously impressed. I've ordered plants from a lot of places, and had some bad luck this season. Not only were they well packed, but they were big, especially for the prices I paid. One Aristolochia was almost 24" long, despite being in a very small nursery pot. Logee's is an absolute must-visit for any plant lover! The greenhouses are huge--I spent almost an hour poring over the first greenhouse only to realize there's actually a series of interconnected greenhouses! The plants are organized and divided into sections so it's easy to navigate. Personally I've never been able to keep a fern alive so I could breeze through that section! The prices are reasonable and you can find some real steals. I noticed that the "popular" houseplants that everyone has are actually kind of overpriced, whereas the uncommon and unique plants are more affordable. Even if you're not looking to buy more plants, the informative cards are a delight to read. Just soaking up the atmosphere in here is a great way to spend the afternoon! read more

A walk thru logees is like a walk thru a jungle or the amazon, with all the fragrant flowers and plants and trees and herbs. A lemon tree grows in the middle of the nursery. 1 lemon makes a pitcher of lemonade. Logees is the oldest nursery in the quiet corner. Worth a trip, but wheelchairs would not do well in this oldest nursery, built around the lemon tree, w stairs and dirt narrow paths. Better to come to outdoor festivals in the summer, and taste the lemonade. read more

Went there for a Valentine's Tour. It was so nice to meet other ppl who love plants as much as I do. Byron gave such a wonderful tour. You could see how much he loves plants. I loved his enthusiasm and his stories. Greenhouses were amazing! I am so glad we went. Love all the plants. I usually mail order. Laurelynn was so nice, too. She organized free plants, cake pops, and lavender lemonades. Both Byron and Laurelynn are so cool. We still have our free little plant we got while there! It was a wonderful experience for us! Beautiful greenhouse. You can expect to spend a couple of hours there because there's just so much to see. Come in different times of year and see different plants in bloom. Great place to go for a day trip (if you're not local, like me). They have a huge selection of plants and they are all healthy. Some of their items are a bit pricey...but it's Logee's so i guess they can charge those prices. Any plant fanatic will know Logee's if you mention it. It was a little upsetting how they advertise they have rarer popular plants but there's really none at the greenhouse to buy in person. Most of them are online purchases only. I have probably spent thousands of dollars at Logee's now and every time I order there seems to be a problem they can't help me with. After this last time, I'm done. They lost a customer. I had an order sitting there to be shipped tomorrow and called to spend even more money with them to have items added to that order, and although they sent me an email saying they could do it, once I called they told me too bad, nothing we can do for you. They actually wanted me to place a second order, which I would have paid full shipping price for, yet they would have added it to my current order and THEY would have pocketed the difference in the amount. I love Logee's! About this time last year (if I recall correctly, which is hit or miss with me!) I convinced two friends that they HAD to experience Logee's. I even told them that they were not obligated to buy anything, it's a very no pressure kind of place, and I mentioned the nerf football sized Meyer Lemon tree! That did it, we got into the car and drove to Logee's-about an hour! I think we spent Well over $400 together! My passion, succulents were abundant and I was able to get some that I never thought I could get up here! My friend who has tons of plants bought a couple of new ones as well as a number of interesting pots, (I now have an adorable porcupine pot for several of my succulents. My other friend bought a pot of some sort and some succulents! Nice! 99% of my succulents are still alive and thriving, one shot off a long tree-like stem and is now grown around and about my metal 5' shelf. It's curled around everywhere and coming out of the small pot is now a 6'+ plant with a palm tree like head at the end of the vine! Everyone loved the place and the only problem was the uneven paths that didn't work well with my super slim wheelchair. read more

Can't say that I'm a satisfied customer of Logee's online catalog, ordering, and shipping of plants to my home here in Ohio. Half the plants that I've ordered over the past several years have died. And I don't consider myself inexperienced with houseplants. Having had a houseful in my better than 40 years of "gardening" indoors. (Photo attached for reference). We have mail ordered several times in recent years, not being able to make the drive out there and even late in the season the plants that arrive are healthy and bloomed shortly after repotting. We have never been disappointed. Have also received advice via email a few years back to help an ailing plant I bought there in 2016- the plant lived and is thriving. Just received a epiphyllum oxypetalum I ordered from Logee. Before I made the order, I emailed Logee to see if they can provide me with a photo of what they will be shipping and they did. I requested that the plant in the photo be shipped. The verbatim response I got was " You may not receive the same one which was photographed, however, it will be very similar to the one in the photo." That is clearly a lie and a bait and switch. The plant in the photo shows 4 leaves whereas the one I received shows only ONE leaf. This is not acceptable and I want to share my experience with others so they are aware of it. read more

I don't have a green thumb, but I like to pretend I do. Perhaps it's more of a chartreuse thumb. I adore tropical flowers that transport you to far away places with one whiff on a hot summer day. And I can get these at Logee's to my heart's content because they ship plants and although the shipping is not cheap, they have regular sales on even the more exotic stuff. But I've been there once. I may never look at other nurseries the same again. Logee's is paradise. The very best greenhouse I have stepped foot in. I never lived near there, but a couple years back my friend and I braved a Noreaster in April because I was intent on getting to planter's paradise. Come hell, high water or Noreaster, I was going to get to Logee's. And it was everything I ever hoped for. The greenhouses are utter perfection. The plants are all stunning, vibrant and and there are varieties upon varieties, many rare and exotic plants too. Show pieces are sprinkled throughout to tempt you into believing that you, too, are capable of growing your new plant so that it may win a trophy.They have the regular stuff, annuals, perennials, veggies and herbs and if I lived close to here I'd buy them here, but these days I get these from my local nurseries. But like I said, shop at Logee's and they ruin you for even the best of the best nurseries. There is just no comparison. For example: Thinking you love jasmine? Do you realize there are many varieties of it? At Logee's you will find Maid of Orleans, Night Blooming, French Perfume and Poet's Jasmine, to name a bunch. Know what Brugmansia is? Maybe you know it by its more common name: Angel's Trumpet. But Angel's Trumpet is just one type of Brugmansia and Logee's has the more unusual pinks, yellows and coral varieties that you probably won't find in your local nursery. Passiflora... my favorite floral vine, with their vibrant colors (I prefer the jewel tones, but they have light colors and white) and lightly perfumed and fruity scent. Some varieties do fruit. Some are even winter hardy to zone 6/7. Got a question about your new fragile (unless you live in a warm climate) Bouganvillea? Logee's will help you out. They have a blog, but you can call with questions. They also give you care instructions, but you can find the answer to most simple questions (light, water, soil) on their website. I could go on and on, but you get the picture. And if you don't, do check out their website. This summer from Logee's I've planted: four varieties of jasmine and three varieties of passion flower In the past I've ordered everything from Brugmansia (toxic to cats, so if you bring it in during the winter, keep it out of paws' reach) to Fragrant Bouvardia and as long as I kept up the care properly, the plants flowered when they were supposed to (unlike those poor flowers that Home Depot is selling us). I think "gem" is an overrated word on Yelp, but damn if Logee's Greenhouse isn't just that. read more

So this is a local gardening LANDMARK. If you are in New England. The trip is well worth it. To see the exotic varieties of plants in person, ask professional advise and get a better understanding on anything green! I, as an amateur gardener did get a bit overwhelmed BUT, this place is just that wonderful. Even if you don't buy plants, this is a great place to come see with your kids/family. It is inspiring! I have 2 happy new plants from Logee's sitting in my window sill. I first heard about Logee's from an appearance on Martha Stewart's TV show. I immediately knew that I had to go there. Ordering plants on-line is fun- you get to look at the great selection on-line and it's so exciting when the package comes to your door. But going to a greenhouse is so much more enjoyable. When my friend and I pulled up we were a bit taken back since it looked like nothing. Simple front, plain box of a building. I at first though that the drive from Boston had been a mistake. But I was proven wrong when I got inside. From a plain storefront to a charming store to amazing greenhouses. I suggest that the ladies leave their purses in the car and just carry your phone, camera, and CC. The aisles are sooo tight. I carried my bag in front of me because I was so worried about knocking into any of the plants that surrounded me. I loved everything that I got to see, be sure to take in the beauty of the greenhouse. Just about everything is covered in ivy and moss. Years and years off moss has given this place a loved feeling. I asked the staff about a blueberry plant that I have at home now that does not seem to want to flower. She was helpful in getting me the right acid mix to add to the soil, which I can also add to the plants I was getting. There is simply NO PLACE like logees. I had been a mail order customer and the plants have always been heathy. I had also seen logees on the Martha Stewart show and had wanted to visit for years. Being that they are pretty far from me in NYC--the three hour drive had been daunting for years and I just never got to go......until Recently driving home from a business trip I was in the general vicinity and had to of course stop by. One step into logees and you quickly are taken away to another world. There is really nothing like it. It is so incredible that a non plant loving friend of mine who was with me asked in all seriousness, where do we pay for admission?
